It’s not closed, maybe reopened with new staff? Anyway, it’s a great place now, and very friendly with great service. Can only rate breakfast but we enjoyed it and prices are reasonable. They were slammed with snowbirds but still had great service.

Cute little place that you would not expect such service and food. Kind of small but that was fine once we got seated and ordered. Our food came out fast and hot and DELISH. The prices were very reasonable and the server/s were very attentive. Will be having breakfast here more often.

The reviews for this place are pretty spot on. Not the most friendly service generally speaking, but Autumn was really nice and pleasant. Staff seemed a bit stressed. Food was what I expected, good, but not amazing.(Breakfast)

Ask for Autumn. She’s fantastic. The only reason it’s not five stars is the second time we went, we got a sullen teenager who made it clear that she had better things to do than serve us breakfast. But Autumn makes this place great. Also, she recommended the baked oatmeal, which I never would’ve tried, and it was so amazing, we went back three more times for it! The cook was super-nice too. He told me what’s in it, but I still haven’t been able to replicate it.

Very small cozy place. Service is spotty but the food is good, not great. Better food and service than Sand On The Beach but I prefer Blueberry Muffin, Panita or better still Sun On The Beach.

Un-friendly toast. Horrible service on a slow Monday. First my mom and I both asked for coffee and a water and the waitress. brought us ONE water and sat it in-between us. I askes for waters for my toddlers, which was never brought. Couldn’t get the waitresses attention to ask for things that she should have been on top of, ie: refillibg coffee. The other waitress finally refilled our coffee, however she proceeded to fill my. mom’s cup with regular when she was drinking decaf we told her she was drinking decaf, and never returned with a fresh cup of decaf. At that point we were over it and just paid our bill and left. Pretty sure they use bagged. scrambled eggs, and the floors looked like hadn’t been swept in days. I have been here when it was slammed on the weekends and got better service than I did today. It was very obvious these girls didn’t want to be there, one was sucking down energy drinks as we sat with empty coffee cups.

My husband jokes that we should make a big«UN» sign and tape it in front of the«Friendly Toast» sign on the window. The food is good. I like the food, but the service is HORRIBLE. We’ve been there two times. The first time, we were both very disappointed in the rude, loud mouthed, Jersey accented waitress to did nothing to enhance our experience. We decided to give it another try and don’t you know we got that same waitress again. She is definately in the wrong field. She acts as if she is doing a favor by bringing you anything. My son dropped his fork on the floor and I though she was going to stab me with a knife for asking for another. We will NEVER return to that restaurant. We’ve found Sun on the Beach and will stick with them. The food is better at SOB anyway. A V O I D. And, hopefully, the owner will read this and Jersy girl will have an attitude adjustment. Blech,

I do not know what all the other posters are raving about. Went to this café today and was utterly unimpressed. The service was slow and the server a bit rude. The coffee here is good but not great. Oj was tasty but how do you get OJ wrong? The sausage links were very good but the pancakes were nothing special. Shouldn’t the star of the plate be the standout and not the side dish??? Also they have signs on the table saying please pay in cash, credit card rates are too high. Who carries cash anymore? What restaurant thinks they can survive by not taking credit? I have a bad feeling that the pipes at this place had just began to leak seriously.

Best casual breakfast place I’ve found beachside. Portions are big and tasty. The eggs bene’s are great, and I even like the way they cook their omelettes, which is rare as I’m really picky about how eggs are cooked. Pancakes are also outstanding. It’s definitely a place worth checking out.

By far, my favorite place to eat in Central Florida. This super casual, family owned little diner serves the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had. The hollandaise sauce is made of dreams! The pancakes are huge & practically melt in your mouth! Expect low prices, hearty portions, and friendly service with charming interior & exterior seating filled with locals & tourists alike. The other added benefit is this diner is right by the beach. I highly & wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic little gem!

YUMMY!!! Had the corned beef hash omelet with hash browns… dee-lish! Huge servings great prices. Great little diner on the beach with a huge selection of breakfast option served all day. I was intrigued by the cute name, but I will return for the wonderful food. According to a sign on the door, you can even show up without your shirt or shoes and be seated outside.

This a great little inexpensive neighborhood breakfast joint, where the locals hang out. The omelet menu is enormous with some great country friend steak. Sometimes it can get very crowded on the weekends. Get their early!

Super casual. Huge menu selection, especially for breakfast. Service can be slow when they’re busy, which is usually anytime the beach is hopping. Worth the wait, however. I love to hit this place up whenever I’m at Melbourne Beach!

The Friendly Toast is really as good as it gets as far as breakfast is concerned. I’ve eaten here twice in the past 6 months and will make a point of returning the next time I’m in town. Not only is the food fantastic, but the service is A-1. If you’re into eggs benedict, which I certainly am, you need to try the Friendly Toast Bene — Served with spinach, roasted red peppers, and feta cheese(in addition to the hollandaise sauce). It is absolutely delicious.
