Went to Cold on my 21st birthday too see the Drag Queen Performance since I know 2 of the drag queens. Since this was my first time actually going to a gay bar or a bar in general I did not know what to expect. Everyone was super friendly. Serenity(I know him as Nick) and Erika are super sweet drag queens who I love dearly! I will be going back to cold keg soon!

The cold keg is the only dance style gay club on the space coast with that being said you should have realized that there aren’t any other options unless you head to Orlando or Port St Lucie and onwards south. On independence night, we went for a visit, there was a cover of $ 5 and we received a free drink with that. We sat down at the bar and was attended by the friendly bartenders. There was a good bit of people around as it was a holiday. Don’t expect a lot of people on any other day but a Thursday when they have amateur strip contests. Later that evening there was a drag show and in typical cold keg fashion happened to be ½hr later than this time quite a few people had left as a result of having to wait too long. The drag show went on and was mediocre at best. After the show people were invited to stay and dance. So we did. It was then we realized that the dj was accepting requests. So we began requesting more upbeat music– the crowd began to gather on the music that was chosen not only by us but also by other patrons as well. In the middle of one of the songs-the dj stops all the music and says that he didn’t like it so he’s changing the music– we just left. I think the dj was playing the music for himself and not for the people dancing –it’s sad when an establishment puts their own preferences ahead of their customers. Sadly it’s the only gay bar in town. If there was another we may probably not come back here at all. This bar gets two stars and that only for the friendliness of the bar tenders– the drinks aren’t generous, but they mostly come with a smile. Don’t expect any nice décor or a smoke free environment– and definitely don’t expect to dance to great music.

It’s been a while. But I have to admit, when my open-minded friends and I were out and about on Thursday nights, this was the place to be. Holy crap! No doubt, it’s filled with all types of folks, predominantly gay. But to this day, Cold Keg was the most fun we have EVER had in a bar! I will never forget our first Thursday amateur strip contest, where the tranny host dropped his or her dress and… well, let’s just say one of our crew had a full glass in his hand that fell to the floor and shattered upon what happened next. Again — you have to be OPENMINDED to enjoy this place. Rednecks, you won’t understand. No one bothered us, everyone was super friendly, and it’s the only place in Brevard County where you can be whoever you want to be and party with no worries. Even the women in our group, many of them pretty well-known models, never felt threatened, never felt unsafe. Cold Keg is the bomb dot com. Well done, friends. We’ll be back soon.

Monday night Karaōke, I think I will! This was a fun spot my partner and I found while visiting Palm Bay /Melbourne. The regulars were very friendly, bartender was attentive, the Karaōke hosts wanted everyone to have a good time as well. Random drink specials though the night. Thanks for the good times!
