I went to the JCPenney store in the Melbourne Square Mall, Melbourne FL. I was shocked when I could not find a sales person to remove a watch from the display case. I didn’t require any more assistance, as I found the watch I wanted.
The one employee I did fine told me that someone else will be by to help me. I waited about ten minutes before I just left.
I believe that JCPenney simply has too much business to bother with my petty little purchase, so I’ll spend my money elsewhere and don’t need to return.

Whenever I visit the Melbourne Square Mall, this is usually the first store I visit. It’s the first store in the far west side, I like to start here and work my way across the mall. Overall this store has what you’d expect to find at any other JC Penny.
As far as men’s clothing goes, I think they have the best selection of pants. Whether it’s jeans, khakis or dress pants. The shirts here don’t interest me as much. I’m not a big fan of the bright colored polo shirts. I know most Floridians are, but I don’t consider myself one, I’m a New Yorker! If you’re into that style, I’m sure you’ll be find yourself like a kid in a candy store.
I don’t buy (nor wear) women’s clothing, so I can only give you an assessment based on my observation (and no, I don’t come here to stare at women). I seems like most of the female customers are older women, so I’m guessing the styles of women’s clothing does not appeal to teen girls and younger women. The women’s underwear section is usually crowded (and no, I don’t come her to stare at women holding panties), so I’m guessing at least the prices for them are good.
I’ve also purchased curtains from them. I brought in my window measurements and they helped me choose fabric, color and styles, as well as the curtain rods.
If you’re at the Melbourne Square mall, it’s definitely a store you should check out.
