I have to agree with David J. I used to go to Love Bugs once a week and now I barely go once a month. The kids behind the counter can be rude and they are extremely unorganized. I also do not appreciate that fact that they argue in front of the customers because the orders are always wrong and they would rather blame each other than make it right. I miss the days of Connie taking my order. She always made sure it was done correctly. They need a manager to take control of the front to make sure people are helped in a timely and organized manner. It’s a shame because it was such a great place!

Their bakery items are to die for!!! I think the prices are kind of ridiculous, but it’s very very good.

WESTMELBOURNELOCATION! It’s gone downhill. I’ve heard its under new ownership. The new employees are rude. My bagel with cream cheese tasted weird that I almost threw up. The sitting area in the back smells like a dirty bathroom. YOUGUYSSERIOUSLYNEEDTORECONSIDERWHATYOURGOALISAS A BAKERY! Make good, safe food? Or try to make people sick cause you hate this country? I can’t recommend this place anymore.

I went here with my family on vacation and the food wasn’t fresh, the coffee was burnt and the service was rude. Two of my kids got sick from their donuts too! Never again!

Really great breakfast sandwiches and donuts from a mom and pop style locally owned place. That said, we live a few blocks down the road and give this place a lot of business, but we have been disappointed many times unfortunately. It’s always something, the grill isn’t working so they can’t make breakfast sandwiches, they are out of bagels, they are out of donuts, or they are out of everything altogether. Very annoying. If you are open until 2pm, make enough food to last until 2pm. It doesn’t matter if the business is a bakery and they have to make food in advance, if you have continuous customers coming in until noon on the weekend, you better have enough food to last until noon. Step up your game or dunkin donuts will be getting our business.

Wow, this place is excellent! I was down in FL for work and avoid chain restaurants at all costs. This leaves me to using Unilocal to help determine where to go… yet again, Unilocal did not steer me wrong. I stopped by Love Bug’s and tried both their Asiago bagel and maple bacon bar(as recommended by others on Unilocal!). Both were fantastic! The bagel was super fresh and the maple bacon bar was addictively good! If I wasn’t so stuffed, I would have tried more, as everything looked excellent! I really don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu here. Also, on top of the outstanding food, the service here was top notch… I’ve already planned a stop by Love Bugs for my next trip to FL in December!

I don’t understand the negative reviews whatsoever, this place is amazing. They have delicious orange juice, red velvet donuts, and the best breakfast sandwiches! Great service as well! Highly recommended.

Great place to get donuts, especially something new. The maple bacon bar is to die for! Truly euphoric experience. Tons of varieties to choose from, like peanut butter jelly or Oreo to traditional choices. Also tried a sausage, egg and cheese croissant which was delicious. Croissant was fresh and crispy but soft inside. Everything was great, can’t wait to try some cupcakes one day!

The donuts here are delicious! I had the coconut crème so far and you can definitely tell its handmade and fresh. One of the best bakeries that I have been to in Brevard County.

While visiting from out of town, I always want to try some local spots. After reading the reviews, it would seem to be a crime if I didn’t give into my sweet tooth and give it a try! I visited early on a Saturday morning, and like reviews has warned there was already a line! The line moved fairly quickly, I could tell there where a lot of locals/regulars in the line since they were just calling out the names of donuts like they were old friends. I, however, was a bit confused and a lost lamb. The girl that helped me kinda rushed me and didn’t really explain what was what. I understand theres a line, but it would’ve been nice if she just added a bit more customer service and a smile or two. Maybe she was having a bad morning. Hence 4 out of 5 stars, but everyone else was very nice. The donuts were amazing! Lives up to the hype! Definitely hoping to visit again before I leave town.

This is, hands down, the best bakery/sandwich shop in our area. They are busy but it’s a no-brainer why when you try them. Love the breakfast sandwich with hand pattied sausage!

Had the simple glazed donut and it was wonderful. The glaze is a nice amount. not too sweet and overpowering. The donut was a little on the doughy side but still wonderful. The cashier swore by the coconut cream donut and called it the best they have. I will definitely give it a try next time.

What has happened to Love Bug’s? I was there this morning, after telling my husband they’re the best in Melbourne. Not today!!! We spent $ 7.08 for three glazed and an old fashion doughnuts and a bottle of milk. The doughnuts must have been made yesterday. They were dry and tough. I threw mine away. They just weren’t worth the calories.

I have tried all on the others cronuts around. In restaurants, bakeries, and even Dunkin Donuts have attempted to recreate the cronut made famous by the Dominique Ansel Bakery in Manhattan. I read a very interesting review in Florida Today and I thought I should give Love Bugs a try. I am glad I did. Though different from the original their version of the cronut is fantastic. Fresh, flaky, soft, and tasty. Perfect with coffee. My only criticism would be that there is just a bit too much glaze and its a bit to sweet. Other than that I am very impressed.

Great bakery with outstanding goods! All of the donuts were outstanding and the breakfast sandwiches were above average! Very friendly service to top it off! If you are watching what you eat this place is not for you, you will be sucked in to the deliciousness!!!

So I’m currently in Florida for my boyfriend’s birthday and wanted to get him some cupcakes for the occasion. Since I’m not a local, I didn’t really know any good bakeries in the area. Luckily for me, I have Unilocal,so I stumbled on to Love Bug! I got 4 of their cupcakes: Carrot, German Chocolate, White, and Red Velvet(which came out to about $ 8 – 9, and also I want to note that they don’t accept card for any order under $ 5). My favorite was the Carrot, but that’s really because I’m such a sucker for carrot cake. They were all very delicious and don’t have that sickly sweet taste that cupcakes from grocery stores have. If I lived in Florida, I’d definitely be a repeat customer!

Love Bugs is dangerous. Dangerous to your hunger, to your wallet and to your waistline, that is. This bakery is a MUST treat for anyone looking for: fresh bread, fresh donuts, fresh cupcakes, cookies, croissants and more. A brightly lit, clean facility with helpful and friendly staff. I’ve been reading some of the reviews here about their cupcakes being either too bland, not very good, or not using buttercream icing, to which I say: what are you smoking??? One of my FAVES is the cupcakes, which are huge, super moist. The icing I’ve had on all of them are obviously butter/butter cream frosting instead of that whipped cream/light fluff you usually get at grocery stores and other bakeries trying to cut corners. They sell sandwiches there, as well, using Boar’s head meat and let me tell you, they were also tastegasmic. They seem small(shorter buns: think six inch subs), but they pack them full with SOMUCHMEATANDTOPPINGS that they are difficult to eat but oh-so-so-so-good. The bread, I believe, is made right in store as well, so you can’t get any fresher than that! One of my favorites that we took home was from their«bargain,» shelf of day-olds(which amuses me, because it tasted ANYTHING but old) garlic bread with real, obvious chunks of garlic clove in it. It was so soft when I brought it home I had huge difficulties cutting it and so my husband and I just pulled it apart with our hands. We didn’t. Even. Need. Butter. It was that good. For us, it’s a *bit* pricey. But as the old adage goes, «you get what you pay for,» and what you’re paying for at Love Bugs is obvious quality. Treat yo’self today, go there, get a donut, a loaf of bread, a sandwich, a cupcake. You will not be sorry!

Love Bugs Bakery has just okay cupcakes. The frosting wasn’t made with the rich buttercream that they should have at bakeries. The food dye in the frosting made the miniature cakes even less appetizing. I may venture back to try the donuts, but for a bakery, your cakes should special and they just weren’t.

Great donuts! Nice variety of muffins, bagels, and donuts. We tried the cherry cake donut, eclairs, and red velvet cake donut with cream cheese frosting. We also bought a couple of their Halloween sugar cookies. Everything was delicious! They have a large variety to try, and I believe they also have samples. I am going to have to try the maple bacon donut next time. They also serve deli sandwiches with Boar’s Head meats… plan on trying one of those as well.
