Petty s Meat Market

This market is fabulous! You can find pretty much anything here.
Petty’s is an upscale market that sells meat, gourmet cheeses, ready made food desserts, seafood, wine, and beer.
This is a store that you want to take your time and look at everything. Do not shop when you are hungry because the impulse to buy everything.
Check out the gourmet condiment section. You can find all kinds of «want to try items.
The butcher can cut a roast or trim meat the way you want it. For example, French a Rack of Lamb, cut a whole Tenderloin into individual fillets. They have a grass fed fillet of beef that melts in your mouth. Their beef and chicken kebabs are wonderful.
The fish looks fresh and inviting. I do not eat fish, but it looks good and is presented well.
As you might have suspected you pay a bit more than you would at a grocery store. It is well worth the extra cost.
They have a good selection of wines, some high end wines. They do offer periodic wine tastings.
Petty’s offers all this and more. They also have beer on tap for you to taste while shopping.
The staff is friendly and willing to help you find the perfect side dish for your dinner. Stop buy, have a beer and enjoy the whole experience. Drink responsibly.

You can’t beat the selection, and the freshness! Try their garlic bread it’s our favorite!

I love Pettys. It seems that it is where half my pay check seems to go. I must limit my trips because I want everything. The food is great!

This place makes me laugh because they have bud on tap and people in the wine area tasting around. The store is small with your meats, seafood, cheeses, wine etc a little claustrophobic for my liking. Overall good quality products.

I stopped in with my Father the other day after always being told by my Grandmother that this is the place to go. They have a huge selection of varying cuts of meat, a large deli various other food items and craft beers on their shelves. What I really enjoyed seeing was the variety of prepared salads at the deli counter. We got the Asian Noodle Salad and the Cucumber Salad. The Asian Noodle Salad was spot on with the right amount of Sesame Oil and the Cucumber Salad was very fresh and the dill in it was not overpowering like it some times can be.

After looking around we didn’t buy anything because the place wasn’t too clean. And prices seemed pretty high.

I really like Petty’s. Yes its a bit more on the pricey side but they have everything your taste buds desire. When I was in Germany I got addicted to veal loaf and dill havarti. Guess what nobody but Petty’s has it. You can get steaks, chops, bangers, lasagna, beef wellington, and chicken cordon blue out of their refrigerator case. The even give you instructions how to cook everything. This place is also great for wine, cheese, sides, and baked goods.

If you are looking for a real traditional butcher in the Melbourne area, this is more or less the only one you are going to find. They have a pretty good selection of cuts here. They even have Tri Tip (if you are from the west coast, you just got REALLY excited. If you are from the east, you probably just went «Huh?).
Aside from the butcher, they have lots of other interesting products in here, from snacks, to cheese, to wine. The cheese selection could be quite a bit more interesting, but we ARE in Melbourne. How much dare I ask for?

meats don’t look fresh seafood like cooked shrimp four times the price bought it anyway rubbery could have done better at Walmart. shopped here 6 times no more keep asking myself why I go back. Melbourne has wonderful food shopping why go someplace inferior.

Best butcher and meat market in Brevard County. I always go to Petty’s for special occasions and get the bacon wrapped filet’s. They never disappoint. They also serve beer while your waiting…

Made me feel up north again nice atmosphere and good food

Overpriced to the point of being absurd. We’ve tried to like Petty’s and have shopped there at least 20 times as it’s both convenient and sort of like an oasis in an area devoid of good food stores.
My advice, skip any and all fish as there are good fish peddlers in Melbourne. Meats are very overpriced given the quality, good wine selection but again over priced, be careful about anything in a jar or bottle. The vinegars are terrible and priced as though they were rare balsmic’s, condiments are the equivalent of Publix, olive oils mediocre and not fresh, veggies — go down the road to the veggie market. Service can be arrogant at the register.
Perhaps I miss the point and it’s a place for precooked meals that look about as appetizing as any prepared meal can look.

Good deli, with house made items & Boar’s head cold cuts. Very good meats, excellent selection of cheeses & a nice selections of wines. Don’t go there hungry or you’ll spend a fortune!
