The cutest little place! Everything is on crispy, savory waffles(even the pizza). We had the Sweet Daydream waffle sandwich and the Organic Herb pizza and a BlackBerry cider. Everything was very tasty and extremely fresh. All food is gluten free and they can accommodate food allergies but even if that doesn’t matter to you you will love this little gem. The service was outstanding, friendly, and welcoming. We highly recommend!

Good vegan waffles. Overall not great for vegans. Most choices include meat. Vegan cheese available. Some vegan desserts. Go to green room café 20 minutes away instead if vacationing.

Fresh organic vegan food at great prices. The atmosphere and customer service is relaxed and on point. Glad I found this diamond among the sysco competition.

All gluten free menu with lots of options. Then also have wine and gluten free beer. When you’re done they have dessert!

Awesome food that’s entirely gluten free. Everyone in my family ordered a different sandwich or pizza, and no one was disappointed. Every baked good we tried was delicious, and we couldn’t pick a favorite. We’ll come back every time we are in town!

Who knew gluten-free, sugar-free, ingredient-free food would actually taste great? My friends wanted to meet here for lunch, otherwise I’d never have eaten here. I will admit I negatively prejudged this place based on my stereotype of rampant veganism: sprouts and leaves, no taste. I was wrong. I had a sweet tea(cane sugar), the V-Club sandwich(avocado, organic spinach, tomato & sweet ‘n’ spicy black bean hummus). The regular item had red onions, which I skipped. Everything is served on gluten-free waffles, which was not a syrup-y or messy as it sounds at first. The amount of food I received was plenty and satisfied my appetite. I wasn’t hungry two hours later, as I had expected to be. The ambiance was relaxed with lots of wood tables, a beaded curtain separating the restrooms from the tables, booths with sliding cushions or regular chairs, a bar area, and lots of natural sunlight. They also serve organic beer & wine. A friend had a beer and said she liked it. Staff was very patient(few of the group showed up on time, so we hung around taking up table space until most of the group had made it). Service was prompt & pleasant, without hovering in our space. The waitress had to explain, define, and basically educate us on what the menu items consisted of and how they were made. Her calm demeanor and attitude of being pleased to educate us was refreshing, especially compared to other restaurants with staff that seem annoyed if one asks a questions. Checks were promptly presented when requested, we all paid separately and no one received the wrong check or debit/credit card. I would definitely eat here again. I have learned a lesson in not judging a restaurant based on my preconceived notions.

Cool little place. Definitely dig it. Might ask for a larger menu but appreciate a gluten free spot in town

100% Gluten Free. This place has delicious food and great, friendly service. I tried a pizza and a sandwich and a couple deserts. All were fantastic. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

Wow! Fantastic meal, and concept. I had wanted to take family visiting the area elsewhere, but the wife pushed to go to the Bald Strawberry. We all had a fantastic meal, and we all raved about their waffle concepts for pizza and sandwiches. This restraunt needs to be franchised. We will be going here again. We fed 7 people lunch for just $ 75.00.

Just had the gluten-free waffle pizza from there and oh my God it was beyond delicious!!! I will certainly be back to try out everything on the menu. Really nice looking Café too and there’s a bakery just down the street with gluten-free sugar-free dairy free cakes and other goodies. Awesome!

Love love this place. They use quality ingredients and its unlike anything around. It does take awhile to get your order/check, but that is fine because the ambiance is nice. I am just really impressed that they don’t skimp on anything. Their bakery also made me a cake and that was overall a great experience as well.

This place is awesome! Not just for the gluten intolerant, they also have a great selection of items for vegetarians and vegans! I asked for a spicy vegetarian sandwich, and they delivered! Eggplant, cashews, black bean hummus, and lettuce, wrapped up in a delicious gluten free waffle sandwich! Definitely coming back!

I came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend because we were in the mood for something interesting. We both had sweet waffle dishes: one banana waffle and one strawberry waffle, as well as green teas(which came in mason jars!). Everything was delicious and extremely fresh tasting. The owner was very nice and attentive. For the two waffle dishes and the teas, we paid $ 20. I also tried the earl grey macaron – delicious!

Absolutely delicious. I had the ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. The whole place is gluten free and has the whole vegan vibe going on so I definitely had my doubts about the quality and portion size. I was quickly proved wrong– cheap food, tasted amazing, quick service. Couldn’t have asked for a better brunch. Hopefully they hang a sign above the building because it was a bit hard to find in the shopping plaza. However, there are signs on the window. For anyone having trouble finding it– it’s next to the pet store.

I was referred to here by Tina over at Happy Healthy Human for a good gluten-free treat. They were a little hard to find, but the Bald Strawberry is definitely a hidden treasure. They serve sweet and savory dishes based based on waffles. Waffle pizza, waffle sandwiches, waffles a la mode. I was admittedly suspicious of a waffle pizza, but we picked up a few dishes for a group and I got a waffle pizza with cheese, tomatoes, and pesto. Fantastic! I also had a chance to try the waffles a la mode, also excellent. I would send anyone there for tasty, delish waffles, regardless of whether he or she could eat gluten. Please do stop by an support this local business! I understand they’re working to incorporate a tea bar as well as a space for acoustic shows or spoken word.

I’m not vegan or gluten free, but I had family here and we tried it. A little hard to find, but fabulous. Visitors gone, I will return and often. Don’t be thrown by the«waffle» bread, it’s gluten free and literally tastes like a sweet waffle, but it’s amazing as a sandwich or a base for pizza. One vegetarian pizza and one pepperoni pizza and one ham and swiss sandwich all on waffle bread later, full happy people. Very reasonably priced. The owners are working to bring in an organic tea bar, acoustic musicians and have vinyl albums playing. Come on Melbourne, keep them in business. Totally worth it!
