It was the perfect choice. We were looking for a place to celebrate my friend’s birthday, quietly but with quality. Wonderful food, great, elegant service. Just the right touch. While all was great, tonight’s special of beef rotini with a marsala sauce was a knockout.

I went to The Dove III on 5÷31÷16 with my daughter and my three sisters. I have seen the place while walking around downtown many times since I had moved here in 2014. Then I heard about it recently on of all things a KIA car dealer commercial. My daughter and sisters were in from out of town to surprise me for my birthday. Told me to pick someplace I always wanted to try. So Dove III it was. Well, we couldn’t get there until after 8pm and they close at 9pm so I was a bit worried that we might get rushed. It could not have been any better. I worked in restaurants(AGM in Smokey Bones, On the Border and Joe’s Crab Shack) for many years and owned a restaurant for almost 10 years. This place does it RIGHT! David our waiter was spectacular. We had order a bottle of the Coppola Directors Cut and they had just run out of it. The table next to us actually had the last bottle on it. The owner recommended a 50th Anniversary Blend from Robert Mondavi that was perfect. The owner(I’m sorry I didn’t get his name) stopped by twice. During our meal he sent out complementary sausage bread, then a bowl of soup, and a limoncello to finish it off. The food was excellent and very large portions! The pasta were great as was my Chicken Piccata. My one sister had the Flounder special and raved about it. If you are in the Melbourne area you have to try the Dove III. You will not be disappointed!

By far the best restaurant in Brevard County. The service is excellent. The ambience muted. The menu with daily specials is expansive. Off menu requests based on dietary preference, e.g. vegan, are easily and pleasantly accommodated. Classical Italian plus!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is nice and decorated well. I have been there several times and the food is terrific. The portions are a good size and can be split for guests that are watching their budget. Staff is friendly and attentive and know the menu well. Honestly, I have never had a disappointing meal. I have tried their appetizers, soup and salads. I have had their veal, beef and pasta. I have never had dessert because I couldn’t eat anymore. They have a lovely wine list and will permit you to bring your own wine from home. They charge a reasonable corkage fee. Don’t miss out on this gem.

Excellent service and food. We really enjoyed the hospitality of the staff. The chef was nice enough to send us a complimentary appetizer and dessert. Portion sizes are large. No reason to leave hungry.

Never thought there would be authentic Italian dining in Florida but must say Dove 3 is superb. Excellent menu selection and a pleasant surprise the chef sent us samples of fresh sausage rolls and outstanding pasta fagiole. Their flounder francese was mouth watering.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! I can’t praise this restaurant enough. The food is amazing and the service tops it off. First I live in west palm beach and eat at many high end Italian restaurants so finding a gem like the Dove in Melbourne was unexpected. The Dove is one of, if not, the best Italian restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of eating at. The atmosphere is fantastic and the wait staff truly cares about you experience and the owner(Carlos) enjoys being with the customers and ensuring everyone as a great experience. If you go once you will want to go over and over to try something new each time. I can’t wait to go back in a couple weeks when I get to make my next trip to Melbourne

We were heading for a different restaurant but fortunately ended up here… The veal was exceptional — well-prepared and fork-tender…the homemade breads were great, as well as the pasta fagiola soup, which came with the meal… The chef sent out complementary pork rolls to every table… and if you got dessert to go, as we did, it was ½ price… The owner was attentive and personable, as were the waiters and waitresses… Can’t wait to try a lunch there…

Grandmothers 80th birthday dinner. Service was slow and poor. Appetizers took 45 min, dinner was 3 hrs. Service didn’t improve much even after asking for additional help. The restaurant was only half full as well. Owner gave us some freebies, nice guy. Food was good but not great.

This place needs a 10 star rating. Everything from the the amazing food to the service of the Waite staff to the friendliness of Carlo(owner) is awesome. You get so many extras in addition to your order. They give you excellent hot rolls, biscuits with sausage, lemon liquor to cleanse your pallet and sometimes hot cookies. Oh yes, you also get a bag of rolls on your way out located at the front door. You need to have dinner here, you will leave amazed wanting more

Great find while on a business trip Thank You Unilocal reviewers. Had the Shrimp Fra Diavalo which was nicely prepared not excessively spicy with a generous portion of well cooked pasta. All dishes served with complimentary pasta fagioli which was very good. I asked the waiter for a little olive oil for my bread and he prepared a beautiful little side plate well spiced and full of garlic ! Garrett was my waiter and he was VERY good, all the staff were extremely service oriented in fact Gatrett brought over a complimentary after dinner anisette and Italian cookies.

The best dining experience we have had in a very long time! The service was beyond excellent, with our server, Chris. The food was fabulous, and the owner, Carlos, was more than gracious. Oh, and I have to mention that five times our server came out with different things, «compliments of the chef»!! First was a small appetizer for each of us, second was a small bowl of pasta fagioli, third was a small glass of lemoncello, fourth was a just baked lemon cookie and last, but not least, was a small glass of anisette. We brought home a large portion of our dinners to have tomorrow since the servings were so large. The cappuccino was to die for! I never tasted such a wonderful cup – ever! As you can guess, we will definitely be going back!

Best food ever, excellent appetizers selections, every single course was so well prepared and the portions were very abundant, fresh herbs and full of flavor, it’s like eating in an «elevated«Nona’s kitchen, you get the warmth of the spices and the different layers of flavors together with the high quality ingredients used that make it an excellent culinary experience. Friends from our neighborhood recommended we try this restaurant during our time on vacation in Cocoa Beach. We went on a Thursday night and found the restaurant full of both people and the feeling of Italian culture. An Italian restaurant such as this is rarely found south of New York or Boston. I followed the chef suggestion and ordered the house Chianti, which was excellent. Very rich and soft, without the sometimes very dry aftertaste which comes from a Chianti. We shared the classic Caprese salad which was excellent with large pieces of soft buffalo mozzarella. For the the main course my wife had muscles, which were very good. There were a few larger muscles which were slightly under cooked, most were done perfectly. I intended to order filet marsala, but followed the chef suggestion for a dish with the beef pounded thin and wrapped around salami and mozzarella and cooked marsala style. It was very good and creative, but I found the salami added more spice than I hoped for. I must say there were several other meat and fish specials which sounded great, but unfortunately, one entrée is enough. Both the atmosphere, service and food was very, very good. A must place to go if you are in the Melbourne, FL vicinity.

Nice bar and restaurant in the heart of downtown Melbourne. We’ve been coming here for several years, and I am pleased to report that the service and food have surpassed my expectations over time. The waiter knew his menu, and he explained a number of the nights specials for the evening without hesitation or referring to any notes, which several members of our party chose for their entrees. I asked the waiter what he recommended on the menu, and based on his recommendation chose the chicken marsala, which was delicious. The marsala wine. Sauce was a sweet comliment to the chicken. My wife ordered a special spicy pork dish. Description was accurate and had the right amount of spice. The others around the table seemed to enjoy their meals as much as I. We each were also provided with pasta fagioli soup, compliments of the chef, and a glass of limoncello, compliments of the house. Overall exceptional dining experience, just make sure to make reservations if you are a party of 8.
