I love to just stroll though Big Lots and I usually buy a lot here just because it is less expensive than other stores. They often have items that have been discontinued and items that I never saw in regular stores. It’s a good place to stock up on things, but you can’t really go here in search of a specific item. It is likely they won’t have the one thing you need.

Big Lots is one of my favorite places to find great quality items at a discounted price. Brand-​name cereals, condiments, and gourmet international foods line the shelves, as well as «bachelor furniture» and «first apartment furniture» which is actually pretty good looking, considering the quality and price.
This is a great place to stock up on lunchbox items, Keurig coffee, seasonal toys (like Easter Basket items), and a few basic decorative and kitchen necessities. This is not a store which you enter with a list– this is a shop-​for-​bargains store, so come with an open mind, and lock your car.

About the same as most Big Lots. Lots of items you can’t get anywhere else, low prices and a dreary atmosphere that sort of makes you feel bad about shopping there.
You can get lots of brand name grocery items for much less than you would in the stores.
