Wow! Great local diner. Traveling back home and looked for somewhere near the interstate with good ratings and I have to say the exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend. I had the Texan Chicken Salad it was amazing. The blackened chicken was really spicy as I like it. Rags bread is a must try too! Rich our waiter was friendly and provided great service.

Came here for lunch. Parking spots may be limited so street parking advised. I ordered the lobster bisque and the honey citrus salmon. The lobster bisque wasn’t heavy which was awesome. No guilt in inhaling it. It was a tad on the room temperature side which I didn’t appreciate. Lobster pieces were there which deserves a thumbs up. I’ve had lobster bisque that had no lobster chunks/pieces which makes me question what’s actually in it. The salmon was nicely cooked. The glaze wasn’t overpowering. I loved that I could order the side of vegetables with no oil. I can see why this place was voted best business lunch.

VERY crowded at lunch. Get there at 11. Also, very loud. Requested burger cooked medium. Received well done. Though the chargrilling was tasty, the meat was a bit tough and dry. Had to ask for lettuce/tomato as I didn’t specify when I ordered, however, one of our party specifically asked to hold these items, but received them anyway. Curious. Had to beg for water refills. Pricing was ok. 12 bucks for burger and fries + tax. Again, the chargrilling is really good, but would also be on almost any quality of meat.

The Havana sandwich is one of my favorites for lunch. It’s basically a great little version of Cuban type sandwich, except the bread is on some type of sourdough so it’s a bit softer than I’m used to. Regardless, it tastes wonderful! The dining room is definitely on the small side so we try to go during«off» hours to avoid a wait. Parking is a bit limited too.

Great place for lunch. Good salads, sandwiches and burgers. I get the lobster bisque a lot and have always found it to be good. My wife likes the burgers and burger salad. Burgers are moist and juicy with an excellent flavor. The atmosphere is laid back with Frank Sinatra singing in the background. Try to get a booth — I find the table seats a little uncomfortable. The place is typically packed at noon — try to get there early or after 1:00 pm. Note: They do not sell wine by the glass here — only bottles and only one brand of white and red. The white is OK — I have not tried the red.

$ 12 for a burnt, dried out burger with one slice of bacon. Not impressed. Grits were a big lukewarm clump; wouldn’t even melt the butter I asked for to moisten them a bit. Fries were good, though, fresh & hot. Server took 20 minutes to get my change, and the whole table was sitting there waiting. And waiting. Don’t think I’ll go back; better burgers at Backyard Burger.

I’ve had lunch here a couple of times now. The first thing I tried was the bacon cheddar burger and I can’t lie, I found it disappointing, so much so that I didn’t finish it. The beef was like one of those low quality beef-like patties you get at overpriced food vendors at festivals. I won’t be ordering their burgers again. I did however enjoy the Santa Fe chicken club sandwich, which I had on my second visit. I’m a sucker for anything spicy and it comes with jalapeños. The fries were pretty good too although there weren’t very many. Overall, I think this place is just okay. The chicken club really helped boost their score for me. I would go back to try more of their menu, but I’ll steer clear of the burgers.

This place is great for lunch. It might even be my new favorite lunch spot in East Memphis. Today — my first time there — I tried their Firecracker Salmon, which comes with cheese grits and mixed veggies. And ALLOFIT was delicious. The cheese grits may be the best I’ve had in Memphis so far, and I’ve had some good cheese grits. The service was kind and efficient. The owner is present and engaged. The atmosphere gives off a fancy and elegant feel, yet still laid back. It’s very inviting. The only downside is the parking lot can fill up quickly. But Yates widens right there by the restaurant so street parking is available. I also signed up for the Silver Rewards card today, which obviously means I have to go back like everyday so I can rack up some of those perks. And the menu was packed full of great things so I probably could go there everyday and be A-OKAY.

There’s one thing you can always count on to happen every year… you’re birthday. For mine a few weeks ago, a group in the office took me to Buckley’s for lunch to celebrate. We were a party of 8 that showed up at 11:45am. To our surprise, the place was already packed and it took us about 30min to get seated. They have a basic menu that’s packed with a lot of flavor. I tried to be good and had a salad with grilled chicken. Next time, I’m going to try the burger salad… YUM! I heard rave reviews on the grilled chicken main dish and the lobster bisque from others at my table. It’s enough food where you can easily walk out with a doggie bag. My thoughts on this place is that there are a lot of «regulars» that dine here. The host and wait staff must have said«hi! Nice to see you again!» about 8 times while I was there. They clearly make people feel welcome in this establishment. The excellent service and fresh food will keep me coming back. Here are a few tips: 1. If you go early, I recommend this place for a business lunch. They will get you in/out quickly if you’re with a small group, the bill won’t break the bank, the décor is conservative and it’s not overbearingly loud. 2. They have awesome cookies(not on the menu)! If you’re there, skip the plated dessert and get a box of either a dozen chocolate chip or lemon. Perfect mid-afternoon snack for everyone back at the office!

The shrimp and grits are amazing! Nice portion sizes. My daughter has the bacon cheddar burger with jambalaya and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is business professional with a pub type feel. Not a very large restaurant though, but comfortable.

Today’s work schedule didn’t leave a big enough window for a sit down lunch. Fast food drive thru traffic, as usual, circled their buildings. Rang up the Lunchbox, placed and order for a Bleu Cheese Burger. Picked it up 10 minutes later on the way back to the office and it was perfect. Consumed within half and hour as my schedule remained on track. Isn’t that what you want on one of ‘those days’? I did and I appreciate a lunchtime business that values my time as well. Highly recommended.

Our first visit was on a Monday at 1:15 p.m. Despite being a Federal holiday, the place was packed. Even though it was busy, we were greeted warmly at the door by the manager and the hostess and were quickly seated. Our server arrived quickly and was also friendly. The three people in our party ordered the Key West vegetables and a salad and two of the Buckley’s Cheeseburger with fries. The Key West veggies are well seasoned, but if you trying to be healthy, be sure to ask for no oil or butter. The cheeseburger is talented as the juiciest cheeseburger in Memphis and it is indeed very juicy. On my second visit the next day with a colleague, we tried the the Havana Cuban with Key West veggies and the Bangkok Thai salad with a bowl of Jambalaya. The Havana Cuban is very good and one of the best I’ve had since Miami. My colleague. the jambalaya was very flavorful was a good touch of spice. Overall, good experiences and the manager at this location is very courteous! I look forward to trying something new on my next visit.

I love this place a nice spot to stop in for lunch. Had the bacon cheeseburger today and it was great. The burger was cooked perfectly not over done and the fries were good as well great flavor. I love that this place is so nice on the inside yet service is almost as quick as fast food … but the food of course is 10 times better. Like always when I am here the service is great the most friendly staff you could ever ask for. Try the peppercorn ranch possibly best dressing ever!

We loved the Lunchbox! Delicious burgers and fries, and the cheese bread was SO good. The marinara that was served alongside was some of the best ever. Not a HUGE menu, but plenty to keep you satisfied at lunch!

I’m a carnivore. I try not to be… I’d love to be a vegan, vegetarian even… heck, I’d settle for being a pescatarian! But no such luck… I love my meat, specifically filet mignon. But y’all already knew that. Anyways, I digress. This place is a delightful little lunch spot… especially for carnivores like me! The steak salad($ 17 and some change) is good, really good, love those bleu cheese crumbles! And I believe this is one of the best burgers in the city(its ground steak, y’all!). The restaurant is a bit tiny so chances are you will have to wait, but it is worth it. The servers are so nice and it is the perfect place for a business lunch.

Having come in quite a few times over the last few months this has quickly become one I my favorite lunch stops. I joined the silver member club which gets good points towards discounts and free lunches. The name makes me feel a little like a gray haired old lady but it is well worth joining. As with any restaurant some dishes are better than others but overall the food is all really good. One factor that helps tremendously is that the owners are almost always here. Make sure and try the shrimp and grits, and get the burger salad with the burger blackened and add blue cheese crumbles.(The burger will come out properly medium rare so ask if you prefer overcooked meat! Ha) I also get both blue cheese and thousand island dressing for the salad. The dressings are homemade and really good. The spinach side is really good also! I’ve never had anything bad or wrong here but I’m sure they would gladly handle any issues properly as the service is always well above average!

I had a great experience at the lunch box. I ordered a blue burger salad… basically same thing as a blue cheese burger, although without the bun. It was delicious… a combination of grilled sirloin and tenderloin on top of a bed of fresh romaine lettuce, then all topped with blue cheese! There were many other options on the menu all priced around $ 15 and under. Actually mine was $ 10 with drink. Also, for the record, the service was excellent and very attentive. I will be back!
