Bartenders were slow and crappy. Who doesn’t have lemon wedges at a full bar?! $ 9 for a vodka and Sprite in a plastic cup no bigger than my fist! Don’t suggest going there at all! Maybe it gets better to the drunks that make their way into the place AFTER they’ve had drinks at other BETTER places UPTHESTREET!

We stopped in here on a rainy Monday night… so we were basically the only people in here. Can’t say much for the atmosphere, but this get 4 stars because our bartender Elizabeth was fantastic!!! Super cool and gave us some great suggestions for our next stop on our road trip. Drinks were average price and place was empty so again — this review is for Elizabeth the awesome bartender!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. I was taken advantage of at this establishment. They charged a cover charge preferably cash and I would recommend only paying cash at this establishment. The guy at the door said«you can put your cover on your tab at the bar then the lady«Callie» at the bar said buy me a shot and let’s call it even. She was stumbling drunk already then brought me back a tab for $ 29 that she said would be $ 10. It’s not about the money, but principle. Crooks run this show.

The bartender was great but the place was not«in line» with the other Coyote Bars I’ve been to. The floor was SO sticky and there was no one there! Ew! Mop? The place looked pretty rough.

Place was dirty. Bartenders were not very attentive to female patrons. Watched one of the regular customers dry hump a fellow while attempting to steal his wallet. Employees of the bar were very aware of her and her partners shenanigans and allowed here back in each weekend.

I give this 3 stars based on the people watching… not the girls on the bar… the customers at the bar. If you have some time to kill go in get a drink dance on the bar… and enjoy the strange people around you… some nights though can be completely dead.

Well I had fun and ya they like you to get up and dance on the bar if you are a girl, haha. I Thought the bartender did a great job entertaining the crowd. Mmm, if I hadn’t had a couple drinks I may have gotten up on the bar, BUT i was a little acared ifld dance myself right off of it. And the bar is huuuuge by the way. So ya, check this place out if you go to Beale street. And I apo loo igze if this review doesn’t make sense. They fed me a couple drinks. =D

You can dance on the bar, GREAT… My bff’s and I had the waitress make us a shot, she gave us a gummy drop shot, it was sweet and strong. She was nice and attentive.

Memphis’ Coyote Ugly is a C– at best. The drink prices are higher than some of the other places on Beale Street and for all the things that that you have probably seen in the movie or heard about the other ones the bartenders don’t seem that into it. The patrons who come in off the street are more exciting than the employees and I can stand outside and experience them… And another thing… If you use a debit card there is a ten dollar minimum charge. Long story short come here to watch women dance on bars but go somewhere else for everything else.

This place was OK. Simply OK. The girls weren’t that entertaining. The drinks were cool. The music was meh… with this place being on Beale Street, you’d think it’d be more live. Maybe we just have higher expectations because of the movie? The drinks are moderately priced. nothing special about this establishment to me. I wont be revisiting.

It’s all about the bar dancing, got some great shots of the gals, of course the best place to sit is at the bar for the view. Had no problems getting another cold one, great service. Wish we had one in St Louis…

The drink charged on the receipt was $ 7 for a «coyote ugly whiskey» and $ 2 «red bull shot» for each of the Vegas Bombs he ordered. Errr wrong recipe. To add to the terrible experience I had here, the bartender that overcharged my boyfriend for the wrong drink also took a gratuity on top of the tip that he left her. We had 6 people. Nobody served us at a table. We individually walked to the bar to purchase our drinks. He had no warning, it was just taken off his card. NEVER will I step foot into this bar again or recommend it to anyone I know.

Alright, so perhaps Coyote Ugly Memphis will simply be the place that I love to hate. I fundamentally have issues with the establishment(ie, customer service nor entertainment seem high priorities), however I keep coming back for one silly reason or another. I’ll get the bad out of the way first — service is still not the best. Quick, friendly and water backs are not this establishments high points. In typical CU Memphis fashion, the bartender was yelling at people to buy drinks on one end of the bar(in a very I hate men kind of way), while my gal pal and I were on the other end anxiously awaiting shot service. So, I did give this place one more star after last night. And this is why: –one bartender was very friendly and didn’t respond meanly when I told her I was tired of listening to the other bartender complain. She smiled too and generally seemed to be having fun — which is what I’d love to see more of here! –the side bar — don’t like the service at the main bar — on weekends they have a side bar which at least last night was a quick alternative. –the mechanical bull — clearly something they save for the weekends, but it was cool to watch others ride. By the way, it’s $ 5 a ride and a waiver needs to be signed. –The jukebox/TouchTunes –hmmm…so the trick here is that you just have to fork out the extra money to have your song played next. Otherwise who knows when it will get played. And… if you REALLY want to hear a song that the gals probably won’t like then get all your friends to sing along and throw the females you’re with on the bar! So, I will always cringe when I think of CU Memphis because it leaves so much to be desired and the girls get cranky, but clearly I will always find my way back. I have experienced better(which is why 2 stars), but I’m working on learning how to access this place for its strengths and not expect more. Thank you Craig W. for helping me find the good in this place.

if half stars were an option i would give 3.5 Last night I had a bunch of friends in from Wisconsin. After wandering around Beale and being told no one would play country music for us, we decided to follow Touch Tunes and head to Coyote Ugly. I was wary of this spot because of the negative reviews my friends have posted, but I was surprised. TT was working and loaded with country. The waitresses seem a little bit beggy when it comes to tipping. Don’t worry, my friends and I are nice tippers. Just keep the cold beers coming. It was unfortunate that some jerk stole my friend’s purse. But minus that, it was a great time. While it is a chain… it can be fun with a group. So get your crew on and get ready to do the mechanical bull. good night indeed

Coyote Ugly in Memphis is alright. It’s a good bar to start Beale at, ladies get in free sometimes, and you can avoid the cover if you buy drinks at the bar when you walk in. That said, sometimes it’s incredibly boring, and half the bartenders are fun, and good dancers, and half are abrasive and look like they don’t want to be there. So sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s one beer and leave. Worth checking out, but on Beale, there are way better.

I had to go here when I visited Memphis. Obviously the movie had something to do with it. This bar is huge! I wasn’t expecting it to be so open and large, but at the time, there was like no one there. I’m sure it would have looked smaller had it been packed. The waitress was nice and made great conversation with us. She also let me stand on top of the bar, which is not uncommon, but still nice none the less. I’ve never done that before. The drinks were good and not as expensive as I thought it would be. I don’t know how it’s like a on busy night so that’s why I’m reviewing it as this.

So they tell me there is a movie with the same name. I can assure you, I have never seen the movie, or go into an actual saloon. But when I heard of potential of crazy females jumping up and down and lots of booze, that info kind of gave me a want to drink here. Besides, I was on vacation and the hotel was literally the next block over. My buddy and I decided to come here on a Thursday night(which I was later reminded, was Valentine’s Day) — so it was pretty empty in there. That was good though, that meant more attention for us. When I first walked in, I had no idea what in the hell to compare it to, or explain to you what this place is composed of. Except a LOT of graffiti, broken bar stools, and bras. Calling this a dive bar would be an understatement. If food were to be cooked here, I would highly recommend NOT ordering any. I would just get your drinks, and enjoy the views, and the ignorance. Let me clarify– on that night, we were ordering drinks, and for whatever reason, the Coyotes(bartenders, who are all female) were trying to have drinking games and contests. Next thing you know, you are drinking for 2, but paying for 2. If you are not smart about it, you can rack up a pretty high tab! If you just want to drink and be left alone, if you are cool about it, they will leave you alone. They do have a 32OZ beer cup for $ 5– I would recommend that. You could drink on that all night! So that’s what I decided to do. If you are a male and need to use the restroom, I would suggest bringing your own TP, or a pack of baby wipes. I felt like I needed a shower after taking a piss. I wish I was kidding. Besides from the bar that is almost a runway long, they have pool tables, mech. bull, arcades, and jukeboxes to keep you busy. The girls usually try to start up trouble as well to get the«crowd» going. For whatever reason, we decided to go back the following evening, to see how the crowd would fare up on a Friday night. There were a few more people– but they all seemed like tourists as well. I could see regulars not coming here, it almost seems like a haven for«rookies night out». With that being said, the Coyotes I met were pretty cool and remembered us, so that is always a plus– even with all of the negativity towards this place– its like one of those places you just can’t stray from!

Dead Dead Dead on a Saturday night!!! Tony and I went bar hopping in Memphis on Beale Street and we dashed into«Coyote Ugly» on the lower end of Beale Street across from the Hard Rock Café. We go to the one in Nashville, so we knew what to expect. except DEADDEADDEAD !!! There was only a handful of patrons milling around and I would definitely say less than that if I wanted to stand and count them. There was only 2 girls working and let’s face it… I wouldn’t have considered them Coyote Ugly Material… but we didn’t even get a beer here. We walked in, looked around a bit and opted to dash across the street to the Beale Street Pool/Billiards Hall. a much better choice!!! Maybe it was the weather, or the fact it is Winter time. We will try it again next time we are on Beale street to see if it changed any !!!
