Great juicy crunchy wings! Yum yum! Called my friend who lives in Florida now to make him envy me. He introduced me to place. He was not amused. Lol!

If you like cold chicken wings and old food warmed up in the microwave, this is the place for you! Oh wait, not to mention some horrible customer service with a cashier who hates her job and has an attitude with the customers. I am visiting family in Memphis and was looking for a restaurant that was open until 10pm on a Thursday. Came across this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. My husband and kids know that I don’t travel across the country to eat something that I can have in California, but maybe somewhere like McDonald’s, Sonic Burger, or Wingstop would have been a better choice. I ordered the honey spicy wings and corn on the cob. As I waited for my food, I noticed that the employees in the kitchen were using the microwave. I was hoping that they weren’t using previously fried wings and placing them in the microwave, but as I continued to watch, I became very suspicious. When the cashier(with the horrible attitude) brought out my to go order, I opened the box and noticed that the container wasn’t even hot. So I pinched a piece of the chicken wing and told her it was cold. I then asked if these were freshly made and she said yes. I ain’t no fool and I know what freshly fried chicken wings taste like, so I had her send them back. Let’s just say the wings are nothing special. The sauce was cold, the wings were dry, and the seasoning was bland. My meal was highly disappointing and I definitely won’t be going back. I hope the owner and/or manager makes an effort to instill customer service values into the business and hire people who embrace and are a reflection of such values. Or maybe it’s just me and I take this customer service thing too serious. I refuse to support such establishments like this and they will not get future business from me.

Sometimes I get a mad craving for wings. Just the smell of chicken wings(especially after a few beers) is intoxicating. This place is down the block from my apartment and I chose to try them over boneless wings from the cheaper, large pizza-chain Dominos down the way. The food: Ordered 6 mild and 6 Honey BBQ boneless wings. Wing sauce is pretty good for both. The texture though… maybe it’s a preference thing, but I like the crunchy outer shell on boneless wings. These did not have that. They were like lightly, soggy breaded chicken tenders in delicious sauce. So, still good, but not that crunchy breading I’m used to. The service: I heard the cashier tell the cook 12 mild wings(even though I had half and half). I didn’t want to interfere and correct her, thought maybe he’d see it on the actual order. It came out all 12 Mild. I asked about it and without hesitation he fixed it right away. Everyone was really friendly and my order was ready quickly.

D’bo’s on Raleigh Langrange was pretty good. This was my first time trying D’bo’s, and while it’s not my personal favorite, it was a lot better than many other wings I’ve had. The restaurant was clean, although a bit noisy and hot. The wings have very juicy chicken breast in them. That for me is a make it or break it. The chicken itself was very good. The batter is what I felt could be better. It seems that they use a tempura and white flour combination for their batter, which leaves the wings a little soggy. Some may like this, but personally I feel it could be improved by using rice flour instead to make it crispier. The fries seemed to also have some sort of tempura batter on them. They were ok. The hushpuppies were very good; it seemed to have corn off the cob and a perfect combination of crisp outside and soft inside. Also, I got the suicidal and asian wings. The asian wings were ok, but could have been both sweeter and spicier. I was shocked at how not-spicy their hottest wings, the«suicidal» were: they were actually what I would register as a mild heat. Not the place to go if you like your wings punishing(if you are a habanero or ghost pepper fan like me, you can forget about it. These will taste like regular hot wings to you). On the whole though, I would go back if I were in the mood, and the prices are pretty good. A little more on the cheaper side.

I called in an order for a burger. I came to pick it up and it’s not ready. They cook your food once you walk in. Maybe they are used to people not showing up? I just don’t get why they tell you your food will be done in 10 – 15 minutes and it’s actually not done until 10 to 15 after you have arrived lol. Overall the service is mediocre. The wings are pretty good. But I love the burgers here. So good to me. I think the bun they use has a lot to do with it. In the future I would hope that they change their policy about pick up orders or just say they don’t take them at all. **they forgot our order or burned it. Not sure. But gave us free food coupons for next visit and added free wings to this order as well.

Another good place for real wings; not a chain. I remember going to the original location in Whitehaven as a child. Actually D’bo’s was my first«wing spot». They were good then and are good now.

If you like hot wings one word Dbo’s! Staff here is exceptional! I have had a few parties and was asked numerous times where I bought the hot wings.

Their health score is in the 80’s floors are dirty and takes way to long to get food, I called in an order of 20 wings at 12:50 drove in and waited untill 12:35 at this point she told me it would be another 10 minutes or more at that point I gave up. Low health department scores and lousy service means it is not worth it to me

I can’t believe no one has reviewed D’bo’s yet. This is my absolute favorite spot in town for Hot Wings. They really know how to crank up the heat. Wings are served Hot, Mild, Seasoned, Suicidal, Honey Gold, Lemon Pepper, or BBQ(your choice) and a side of Celery and Carrot Sticks with either Blue Cheese or Ranch dressing. Now let me give you a word of warning. The hot wings are VERY hot. I have yet to brave the Suicidal, but hear they are pretty intense. In addition to great wings, D’bo’s also has great Fried Okra and Fried Green Tomatoes. Check out their website — you can download coupons and save some $$ on your next visit.
