I Love Eclectic Eye! It is easy to get an appointment right away if my eyes are bothering me– ie very bad seasonal allergies this year! I love my glasses from Eclectic and I love their art shows. Stop by and check out their cool mural on the outside of their south wall! Awesome– oh and they have a huge banner up supporting the Greensward of Overton Park. Great commitment to the community!

I’ve had my eye exams and purchased glasses at Eclectic Eye. Dr. Weinberg is very personable and professional. I felt very confident and comfortable under his care. The selection of glasses is extensive and the staff is extremely helpful. It is not inexpensive — but I did not go there expecting that. The frames are very stylish — Robbie and her staff go above and beyond to stock the coolest glasses in Memphis! Beyond exams and glasses, Eclectic Eye is active in the community and always seems to have a new artist on display when I visit. I highly recommend!

As a jewelry designer I need more than one eye care solution… Eclectic Eye did a fantastic job of finding me great frames(Chanel!!!) for my everyday eyewear and a perfect pair for detailed design work. I was very pleased with the staff and choices at Eclectic Eye

No matter where I live, Eclectic Eye will forever be my go-to place for all of my eye needs. I ended up here out of need. The place I went to originally did a terrible job. I bought these super expensive glasses and got a terrible eye exam and awful lenses. Then they tried to correct them and it was an epic fail. Then I went to Eclectic Eye. Why? Well, after I literally fell down a flight of stairs because I missed a step(thanks to my completely overcorrected pair of glasses), I said enough is enough. I get a great eye exam from the doctors there every time. They are good, professional and know what they are doing. They also have a great selection of glasses. I’m totally not a «funky glasses» kind of person, so I really didn’t think I would find something I would like, but I did. I also have a smaller frame, so to go into a place that actually carries glasses that actually fit is so rockin’. Come in, leave happy… and $ 500 less in your pocket. Even though they have frames at different price points, it’s still expensive. Please note, the glasses are pricey, but they have an incredibly unique selection that you won’t find at your regular glasses store. Contacts are pretty close to market price and they will ship them to your house.

I’ve been a client at the Eclectic Eye and a patient of Dr. Weinberg’s since they opened. I have had nothing but superior service from everyone I’ve encountered. Several years ago, I had an infection in my eye. Dr. Weinberg was so worried about me that he gave me his cell phone to call if it got worse and opened up early the next day to meet né and give me a re-check before I had to go to work. Their glasses are fun and funky and stylish. Everyone always asks me where I got my fabulous glasses.

Dr. Weinberg has been my primary eye doctor for 10+ years now. I have had nothing but good results from his care and the staff’s attention. I highly recommend Eclectic Eye to everyone I meet. I believe if you get a pair of glasses from them and the frames don’t fit right they will do all they can to help fit you correctly. The turn around time for new glasses is less than a week, or it has been that way for me. Most of the time I’ve received my new glasses in about 3 days.

I had been going to the Eclecic Eye for a few years until I moved. The distance was a little far. After going from optometrist to optometrist and not happy with the results, I finally decided to go back. No one beats their doctor, service, or frame selection.

I paid an obscene amount of money on glasses which don’t even work now and I got them this past summer. I needed glasses so badly when they gave me a price I was dying to see correctly so i bought them. I wish I had NEVER gone to this place. I told them I wanted contacts. I got glasses. Doctor said we would talk about some contacts. I now know they just wanted me to buy designer frames which I did. I just went to another place for eye exam and SAMEISSUE. I was fitted into contacts same day. My vision was instantly corrected and with my vision insurance(ECLECTICEYEDOESNTTAKEINSURANCE) it was 15 bucks. I’m embarrassed to even say how much I paid for my glasses at eclectic eye. DONTGOTOECLECTICEYE! THEYWILLRIPYOUOFF. They dont listen to what their customers want and didn’t even get my RX right. Two thumbs down.

If you are looking for fun, funky, unique and edgy frames, then this is the place for you. –Eclectic Eye(midtown) I was a walk-in and still received prompt service. Dr. Andrena Woodhams gave a very informative eye exam and was great at explaining the details of how my eyes are doing. After the exam I picked out the perfect frames and ordered some contacts. I thoroughly enjoyed trying on all the stylish frames and the staff was very knowledgable and helpful(and patient) when it came to helping me find the right frames. Their selection of frames cover a fairly broad price range.(I browsed frames from $ 100-$ 500+) And all of them are attractive. This allowed me to have plenty of frames to choose from. Have a look at my profile picture to see the ones I went with. I myself couldn’t be happier! Get on over there and find something new! I recommend them to all my friends and family. :)

Let’s face it, eye exams are just not at the top of my to-do list. The boyfriend and I stopped in here one Saturday morning because his frames were busted, so we figured we’d get both of us taken care of in one visit. We were quickly helped, given paperwork, and ushered off to exam rooms. The doctor was very nice, and extremely thorough — I’ve never had my blood pressure taken during an eye exam! She admitted to being fresh out of school, but seemed very competent at her job. So why only three stars? I’ve got one word for you: price. This is clearly a Midtown boutique, aimed at people with money to burn. An exam runs $ 100, which seemed reasonable enough to me, until I saw signs elsewhere advertising them for $ 29.95. As walk-ins, we didn’t exactly do our research, so that’s on us. Frames, however, are a small, odd assortment of «unique» looks, with almost nothing under $ 500. $ 500! I don’t know about you, but that’s a lot of money for me. I was very attached to my current frames and asked if they could just swap out my lenses. The answer? Yes, but lenses ran approximately $ 250, and I would have to sign a waiver that said, essentially, that if they broke my frames, it wasn’t their fault. Um, no thank you. So while the experience was great, there’s no way in heck I’ll be coming back here for services I can get for a lot less elsewhere.

We really enjoyed our experience here. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful. Becky, the assistant who did most of the tests, was so kind and helpful. Dr. Weinberg was very thorough, and seemed genuinely interested in explaining things and helping me find the best option. They only carry designer glasses, so it’s pretty pricey in that regard. However, I will gladly pay a little extra for good service and high quality products. I highly recommend checking them out.

I have a tendency to break frames quicker that I buy them. I also have a penchant for designer frames and I’m thrilled that I can find them here at this nice little store/optometry clinic in Midtown. They carry Chanel, Oakley, kazuo kawasaki, and Kate Spade frames, among others. Definitely not a chain store, with the more fashion-forward in mind.

This is a review of their Houston Levee location in Collierville(I didn’t see a Unilocal listing for it). Dr. Swanson is the best. My previous eye doctor gave me a prescription that was too weak in one eye(maybe both) and wouldn’t listen to me when I said I couldn’t see as well anymore. Dr. Swanson was very receptive to what I wanted, taking into account my job(thinking about eye strain, etc). Also, she gave me the option of eye puff or eye drop for the pressure test, understanding that these tests might bother people differently. She scheduled me for a followup visit to make sure my new prescription was working out well, which I’ve never seen any optometrist do before. Plus, she sent me home with two different prescriptions for my left eye, in case I liked one or the other better. I feel like I can see well again, which is AWESOME. Picking a new eye doctor, I was worried about yet another eye doc telling me what I want or don’t want without listening when I tell them that something isn’t right, but coming here was the best decision I could have made.

Had something in my eye, called them and within 15 minutes and no appointment, they took me in and got it out. If you ever get a chance just try them once and you will love them. Thanks guys. I owe you.

The staff of the Eclectic Eye is truly knowledgeable. Easily the best eye exam I’ve ever gotten(who knew you could take an eye exam for an hour?). Dr. Weinberg is enormously skilled as an optometrist. The selection of frames is up-to-the-millisecond. The store itself is located in a charming historic Cooper-Young building. Here’s the only problem: if you think you’re getting out of there for under $ 900, you’re fooling yourself.

ok, i’ve worn glasses since i was six so i know a good eye doctor when i see one. My optometrist, Dr. Jason Duncan, is patient and works hard to get your prescription right. His staff is fun and friendly-especially Tiffany(She’s the best). Eclectic eye is a eye boutique so that means they sell very expensive designer glasses/frames. However, they also sell really cool, hip glasses that are unique. I tried on lime green ones and orange ones. Eclectic Eye also supports local artists by giving them a place to display their work. My favorite thing is their ads – they show the eclectic mix of people who purchase their cool glasses. I think i would be a good subject to be in their ads because they haven’t had an asian chick yet. i’ll include a pic of me in my sassy eclectic eye glasses-you be the judge.
