First of all, you gotta love the way Farrell Calhoun manages their overhead and the earthy feel of their stores. No BS. They are a REAL Memphis company with a product that is made and developed right here in this town. The paint is formulated for our weather and environment and is exceptional in both performance and value.
I have been a contractor for over 25 years and I have used every paint that is available in our region. IMO, Farrell remains the best choice.
Now concerning this location, it is one of the best in their network, but ALL of the stores have smart, capable people. The matching of existing paint is mostly accomplished by the color acuity which is a product of the keen eyes of the employees. This method of matching far surpasses the results to be found with the spectrometers at the big box stores.
Stop by this location and see Jimmy, Mike, Mike M, and Cole. These guys are very friendly and they know more about paint in this one store than all the Lowes and Home Depots combined!

When I bought my little house last year, all the walls were solid white. So I had a lot of painting to do to warm the place up a bit.

So I took a sofa cushion in to Ferrel-​Calhoun and showed it to the guys working there. And they were so great! They really worked with me, mixing up colors until we found the perfect one. And I’ve been very happy with it. Everyone who comes over compliments the color of my walls.
