I cannot believe this is rated less than 4.5 stars! As a native New Yorker and Memphian, I can tell you this pizza blows the others in Memphis away, as far as a traditional pizza pie is concerned. The crust is flavorful and light and the sauce is perfect.

The story of Ferraros is a very sad story. I live on Mud Island and have been numerous times; I don’t think I have ever been one time where one of the customers was not angry about poor service. This wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t only have 3 customers at any given time. They always seem to have one person running the place and that person usually has a very poor work ethic. It is a sad story because the pizza is outstanding and I consider myself a connoisseur. If they could get their act together on service it would be my favorite place. For the time being however, I have to reserve trips to Ferraro’s for evenings when I don’t have anything else to do afterwards because it is just that unpredictable.

The pizza is really, really good. No comment on authenticity of sauces or the dive-y atmosphere. The crust is excellent, toppings are plentiful and flavor balance is spot on.

Stopped in on a Monday Night, they had $ 5 Dine-In Pizzas. The atmosphere is very old school and definitely feel like you’re in Downtown Memphis. I really liked the old building and the small setting they have dug out. They had a nice Happy Hour going on and 4 different taps. We started with spinach dip, and wow. fresh spinach dip! Surprise, it was really good, probably the best part of the meal. We got a few pizzas for the table. Mine, came out a little crispier than I would have like but it was good. The one that was not so crispy was even better. It was a thinner crust, like a Brooklyn style pizza. It was a slow night here but the bartend/server did a nice job and was super friendly and attentive, keeping our drinks full, and with guzzling kids that’s always a blessing. Overall experience was good, will give it another try and update then.

Great pizzas and sandwiches in one of Memphis’ best buildings. Bring friends! The beer selection is also another great part with specials for events.

This is my first Unilocal review and I was hesitant to post it… also I am typically very easy to please but my first and only visit to Ferraro’s was a disappointment… in my experience, what they claim to be an Alfredo sauce, while perhaps tasty, was not a real Alfredo sauce and my dinner companion didn’t like it at all… to each his own, I suppose… but, when making a point to VERY politely discuss my concern with the wait person, he as much as suggested that the Alfredo sauce was perfectly authentic and perhaps I didn’t know what I was talking about. I can deal with less than stellar food but I cannot abide rude service… no offers to try the dish again… no offers to try something different… just a «like it or lump it» attitude… very sad indeed.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of yrs now. It’s hard finding good pizza in this town, and when I say good I mean NYC good and yes Chi-town good. So it is really nice being able get that sort of quality pizza at Ferraro’s. that being said, not five stars only because of price(which steep but definitely in line with other places around) and the pace… but then again this is the south where things are slow as molasses! Taste is great, selection is great and the service has never been less than good most of the time it’s great. They also have a few beers on tap including a couple of locals… they also have happy hour specials M-Th. Bottom line is that I’ll keep coming back!

I went there for Monday Night Football because they have $ 2 Bud Light and $ 2 bar pizzas. The pizza was fresh made, not frozen and tasted good. I asked the bartender to turn up the sound of the TV and she did. The place was empty, so that kind of dampened the atmosphere.

So I found this cute little slice one afternoon coming from the MegaBus station about two blocks away. Hot from the humidity, a beer and a slice was just what I needed and Mike, Jennifer, and Kenya served me up something proper! Any pizza or grinder is a perfect choice and your best bet is to wash it all down with a chilled pint of Southern Pecan beer! Cute patio for the smokers, tons of free parking and 3TV’s for the sporta fans! Check em out. you will be happy you did!

Ordered from them twice, but both times the pizza was terrible. The wait to be delivered is also ridiculous.

We came for lunch during a convention. Even though they are located right next to the convention center, the staff was completely unprepared for any business. We were told to wait until the only waitress in the place could come to our table so the cook would not be overwhelmed with orders. As we waited patiently for the waitress, we watched everyone in the room place their orders and get their food before us. Yes everyone. We finally went to the front of the room and placed our order out of hunger and desperation. All in all we waited 2 hours and never got served and never got any food. I wouldn’t know what the food tasted like because we never got to eat it.

I wish more people would come to the Pinch District to enjoy this place. The pizza was good but the best was their chicken Alfredo and chicken parmesan sandwich.

Ferraro’s offers one of the tastiest pizzas in Memphis and a location full of charm. Located in the Pinch District, this makes for a great place to have a little food, a drink or two, and go for a stroll along the trolley line on North Main Street. This is where Justin Timberlake celebrated his 30th birthday. Come here to bask in a little JT magic.

Awesome pizza! We had a pepperoni and a barbque chicken pizza. Both tasted great, full of flavor and perfect crust! Nice side salad. Excellent service. Comfortable and cool atmosphere.

Flat, hot, draft beer. Cold soup. Crazily oversalted food, marginal waitstaff. Dirty bathroom. Pizza was ok at best and served on super cheap paper plates. Both our stomachs were messed up after eating here. Pass.

Call me picky, but I have a hard time finding good pizza in Memphis. In my opinion, every local pizza joint I’ve tried has missed the mark in one way or another. After trying many recommended spots and being disappointed, I finally gave up. But, I hadn’t given Ferraro’s Pizzeria and Pub a try until recently and I must say I was impressed. Last Sunday my boyfriend suggested we stop check out Ferraro’s for dinner out since we were already downtown and it was on the way home. It’s located in the sleepier part of downtown which means easy access to plenty of free parking. We were able to park right near the front door. We sat at the bar so we could watch the Saints game on the wall-mounted flat screen TV. They have a few selections of beer on draught and even more options in bottles. What goes better with pizza than beer? Um… not much! Whenever I visit a restaurant for the first time, I like to taste more than one menu item if I can. I convinced my boyfriend to split an 8″ pizza and a sandwich with me. For the pizza we went with the Porky Pig, a specialty pizza topped with sausage, ham, bacon, capicola and salami. As for our sandwich selection, the Chicken Parmesan was the winner. Our food took some time to prepare but the wait was well worth it. The pizza and the sandwich were both really good. Absolutely no complaints from me. And I certainly didn’t here any complaints from my man… he was too busy stuffing is face. I’m sorry it took me so long to visit Ferraro’s, but I’m glad that I finally found a good pizza place in Memphis. I will be back!

Pizza — yumm. I have to say their crust is good, not too thick, not too thin. Definitely not greasy. My husband and I shared an 8″ veggie and a house salad. The salad was full of fresh ingredients. Fresh mushrooms(not from a can — yuck), fresh. well. everything. Sliced red onions on our pizza — it was delish! We got a large pepperoni for the kiddos, and they looooved it. The service was friendly, but a little slow. We had to chase down our server for stuff we needed, including our ticket, and they weren’t busy at all. We’ll definitely be back — they have pizza specials on Monday night. I believe it’s a 10″ one topping for $ 5.00. That’s cheap!

The salad was better than the pizza in my opinion. The specialty pizza(can’t remember the name) wasn’t terrible but I thought it tasted sort of dull. Maybe more sauce would have helped. Server was very robotic(something that’s becoming commonly familiar in the service industry these days)\ Thought the building, adornments and inside and out artwork were cool. Glad to see this business along with others populating the Pinch District that took a downturn after the Pyramid closed.
