MOVERS BEWARE! If I could give negative stars, I would! Stay away from this company! I was given a two day window, and the last day of the window no one showed up! I called and called, and finally I got someone in the office to tell me what was going on. He said the drivers were stopped by the DOT and could not drive anymore. Basically he said they were over booked and it would be the following day until they got to me. Were they even going to tell me if I hadn’t called them a dozen times?!
The biggest problem was that my lease was up that day, so I was fined for being in the house an extra day. When I asked the office personnel what they were going to do to help compensate me for the penalty fees I was charged, he said he really couldn’t say, and I’d have to call them back some other time. Really!!! I asked if he could call me back when he found an answer, and he said he didn’t have my phone number. Wow. This is supposed to be a company that provides organized logistics? This is the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I would NEVER EVER book with them again.

STAY AWAY!!! General Moving Company moved my furniture 3 miles and managed to break the majority of my items. Not one piece of furniture was wrapped or precautions taken to insure that items were delivered safely and unharmed. They also move at a snail’s pace and cost me 800.00 for a move that should have cost around 300.00! When I filed a complaint with the owner Sidney– he was rude and condescending.

General Moving provides excellent, quality professional moving services. They moved me from Memphis to Atlanta last year. The price was right and the service was excellent. The guys that helped out on the move were extremely professional and careful with handling our furniture. I was very impressed with the high level of customer serivice and most importantly — nothing was damaged in the long distance move! (yay!!)
I HIGHLY recommend this company for all moving/​delivery needs. They also provide packing services.
