Watch your back. Absolutely gonna get robbed or worse in here. Be prepared to be alone in a dark hallway. Might be good to buy fake gold chains, but other than that avoid unless packing serious heat a la Dirty Harry. .44

I will never forget my first drive to Memphis, it was pretty late at night, and I surely had no idea where I was. My buddy told me to take exit 6 off US78/I-22(Hacks Cross) and that would take me to his place. Well, being slightly disoriented, I thought he was talking about exit 6 in TN, not in MS. So with that being said, I drove down the entire length of Winchester. So I got to see some thing I would not have normally seen. Hickory Ridge Mall was one of those places I got to see. I knew there were a few malls in the area, but this is the only one have been to, or really know of. I became acquainted with the place after I went to Sears, and wanted to walk around and see what it was about. It was sad to see that maybe 20 stores existed, as it looked like a ghost town. It was like we were frozen in time– eerie. I was unaware that a tornado came through a while back and it seemed like it had never really recovered. This saddens me, as this place is a nice location and a lot of potential. I have never been in a mall that seemed so barren, with that being said, when 2 tall white guys walk around, dirty looks were made. I just wanted to experience the mall. After our walk from Sears, I was shocked to see a carousel. Not just any carousel, but a double decker. I almost cried, as it brought back memories of a child when I used to live in CT– the Danbury Mall also has a double decker there. These are the only 2 I have ever seen. Maybe I just haven’t been on the lookout for them. But yea, seeing that was really awesome. It looked like there was another wing, but after seeing the carousel, I had seen enough, and was ready to head out. I would really love to see this place flourish, and I will surely be rooting for it every day!
