I love the clean, neat, and professional atmosphere. This place has awesome selection, helpful staff, and reasonable prices.

This is the largest selection of wine in the area. This is also the only store within a huge radius that has more than 3 cheap bottles of «bubbly.» They actually have a good selection at several price points. Their spirit prices are extremely competitive; sometimes much lower than even Costco! They have a good selection of the standards, rum, vodka, etc., but not all the quirky stuff, like liqueurs. Service is great; the checkout lady was pleasant and smiling, and the stock guy brought my purchases out to my car for me. Very nice.

Probably the best liquor store in Memphis. When I’m really on the hunt for the perfect bottle of wine this is the place. They have an enormous selection of rare wines and the staff knows what they’re talking about. It’s a little out of the way for me, but when it really matters, this is the place for me.

This is my go to spot when I need a «special» drink. LOL. The store is always neat, clean and easy to navigate. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. And if you are a mom(or dad) who would like to grab a bottle of wine, it’s a kid friendly place so it does not feel weird.

I live in Nashville, but visit my mother who lives close to this shopping center. I find it very convenient to have this liquor store in the same location as Kroger and Starbucks, as I can get all our needs taken care of in one fell swoop and head back to my mother’s. The selection of wines is great for a store of its size — I can always find a good old vine Zinfandel red for me and a nice Sauvignon Blanc or(ick) chardonnay for my mother. And the champagne selection during the holidays is decent also. I haven’t shopped for hard liquors here, since we rarely drink them.

I visited a friend in Memphis and of course, this meant a liquor store run. She brought me to Kirby with the caveat of «the service is really up and down. Some days they’re terrific; other days, it’s like you don’t exist.» We must have gone on a good day because the service was fantastic. A woman let me use their bathroom which is located in their employee only area. The cashier was very friendly and had her eye on the line and made sure to call another cashier when a line started because of my ridiculous number of mini liquor bottles(I love small things!). And then when we were all paid up and ready to go, a man helped us bring everything to the car without us saying a word. I don’t know how it is in the other provinces of Canada but BC liquor stores in the lower mainland just do not compare to US liquor stores. They had a fabulous selection(they even have my friend’s favourite wine that can’t be found in many of the other liquor stores), the prices were pretty good and a lot of the liquors I wasn’t familiar with came in little mini bottles. If you like or are vaguely interested in plum wine, they have a mini bottle of plum wine for under $ 2 that has a little plum in it. It’s the cutest thing and the wine is pretty good. If you’re a price watcher, go on Tuesday. It’s ladies’ day which means discount!

Yes I AM A FAN! The staff is so knowledgeable here and I love it. You go in for one thing and you come out with something even better or more than what you expected, lol. The prices seemed normal but I have never been good at remembering prices. They have everything sectioned off into categories. The wines and the alcohol. I like this place and if I lived out there that would definitely be my go to store.

Our fine city of Memphis hosts a handful of truly excellent liquor stores, and this is one of them. Take the best of Joe’s, the best of Buster’s, and move it to a newer cleaner neighborhood near the suburbs, and you have Kirby Wines & Liquors. The staff and managers are extremely knowledgeable on their wine history, how to pair wines with food, and what makes a great gift for your father/husband/lush best friend. Take their advice– they know what they’re talking about! Subscribe to the store’s email list and receive weekly notice on special deals, new products, and case pricing. The parking lot is freshly paved, with plenty of parking right up at the door, and it has a nice wine & liquor store smell– like bourbon barrels and cardboard boxes– to it. It makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. Some of my usual favorites from this store: Zolo Malbec Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Almaden Pinot Grigio Smirnoff Vodka Toasted Head Chardonnay

This place is almost as nice as Joe’s. Almost. It’s a bit bigger, and has a very good selection of wines. They take their stuff seriously — there’s a security guard by the door when you walk in. They carry a good selection of liquor as well — all of the popular flavors of vodka. I thought of it, and I found it without a problem — the staff is on the floor and helpful. They even carry a pretty decent little section of Saki if that’s your thing. Everything is standard, price-wise. They have big old bottles of $ 4 chilled Arbor Mist. That made me love them a little bit.

I’m becoming much less of a fan of this store than before. Most of the time, I’m not finding what I’m looking for. Last time in, I was looking for Cruzon Rum, Poopsie’s drink of choice, and a reasonably priced French Chablis to take to the CSN show. I found neither. That’s especially bad, since there are two types of Cruzon that would have been acceptable. No alternates offered when I asked. Also, I looked at scotches. I have it in my head to get a bottle of Lagavulin 16 to broaden my tastes. It looked pretty pricey at over $ 80. I had compared prices with the MacAllan 12 from the liquor store at Costco and it was considerably more expensive at Kirby. So, I’m going to drop this place and start shopping somewhere else, probably Arthur’s. Previous comment on beer still stands, perhaps even more so.
