For the only one in memphis it is okay. Customer service could improve and the store could be more organized.

Customer service is very slow but friendly. I like being able to come in and wander around the store without being rushed. Store is never super busy which I like. Prices are competitive with any other stores. The best part about the store is the layaway. Although the process i super slow it’s very convenient.

I used to stay across the street from this k mart, so I’ve managed to rack up a myriad of customer points, which keeps bringing me back to it. Why only 3 stars? Three reasons: 1) They don’t have hand baskets. I don’t need a push basket. Yet I have too many items to carry in my hands. So I guess I’m stuck with the dreaded slow push basket, and with my luck it’ll be the one that needs a wheel alignment. 2) Too many register stations and not enough cashiers. It really grinds my gears to see 15 check out aisles, but only 3 cashiers. Just down size for crying out loud. That’s a ton of valuable space that could be used for something else. 3) The receipt paper is too long. It’s like a mini notepad of useless coupons.($ 25 off fish food with your next $ 50 purchase) No wonder all the k mart’s went out of business in Memphis. Poor layout, no hand baskets, and not eco friendly. Lol, well at least the cashiers are friendly.

Being the Only Kmart in Memphis, and in my neighborhood, I still enjoy the unique items not found in other stores. Its always clean and the greeters at the doors are welcoming.

I’m with Erica. I’m not loving this location, but I loves me some Kmart, so it’ll do. I love the smell of Kmart — it’s so… industrial. Also, I remember my mom putting a seriously awesome snowsuit on layaway for me as a kid, and I bought my first bike there, mainly in quarters. I digress. Kmart offers seriously inexpensive clothing and some name brand toiletries, Martha Stewart home goods, Hallmark cards, and more. You can sometimes really score with their shoes. I highly recommend giving them a shot to find a good deal.

I miss the over abundance of Kmart locations for me to visit on a whim. We hadn’t been to a Kmart in over 7 months, and decided to take a trip to this one on Austin Peay. I usually can find some pretty good selections and deals at Kmart, and truth be told, we did quite a bit of our Christmas decorating shopping at Kmart this past year.(I heart the Martha Stewart Collection!) This location is kind of grubby. It was pretty empty when we went, which was nice, you gotta love not having to share aisles with strangers. However, the selection and price were all wrong. The prices seemed super high for this store(it is Kmart for pete’s sake) and it seemed seriously under stocked and a tad bit dirty. After paying for our purchases at the register, we apparently left one of our bags on the turn style. Sadly, it contained about $ 25 bucks worth of grocery items. I find it odd that the cashier didn’t notice, nor did he try to stop us on our way out. Seeing as how dead it was in there, he didn’t have a line behind him, nor did he do the typical«one spin around» to make sure we had grabbed everything. Sure, it was our fault for not double checking, I just felt like perhaps if he were doing his job, it wouldn’t have been overlooked. I won’t go back to this location, it doesn’t have a large selection of things I purchase on a regular basis, it is seriously out of our way and like I said, the prices are a tad bit ridiculous. We spent $ 75 bucks on 4 bags of groceries, one of which we didn’t even have when we got home.
