I stopped in here for a quick lunch. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Philly. You get quite a bit of food for your money. One of these will certainly fill you up. The sandwich was ok. It had solid flavor and the bread was good. It was messy and difficult to eat, so load up on the napkins. The service was a touch slow and lacking friendliness. They were not rude, but certainly were not welcoming either. It took a little longer than I would have expected for a sub, but not too bad. This is a solid lunch option or a quick casual dinner option. The food is good. You may have to be patient though.

A lady had just started serving a guy but decided to tell me they were closed at 6:30 on a Sunday. Frustrating.

I grabbed a sandwich here before I left the airport, not knowing where or when I would be able to get dinner, but it was a big fail. I rarely encounter a sandwich where it is barely edible, but the buffalo chicken sub was one of the most disgusting sandwiches I’ve tried. It barely matched the description… dry shredded pieces of meat that barely resembled chicken, olives, banana peppers, some kind of crème sauce, on a sub roll that I don’t think was the multi grain roll I asked for. It was also missing the tomatoes I asked for, and did not have any buffalo chicken taste to it. Tossed it in the trash… what a waste.

It is rarely worth attempting to satisfy one’s desire for a nice meal at an airport restaurant. My experience at Lenny’s deli was not of a caliber to make my stance in the topic change. After asking a few questions of the cashier, I selected the Buffalo Chicken Philly. The sandwich was served hot, which was nice. The buffalo flavoring was tasty, but the quality and flavor of the chicken was poor. If you NEED to have a meal, Lenny’s is a reasonable choice, insofar as it will not leave your stomach wrenching. While Lenny’s may rank high among other restaurants in the Memphis airport, my recommendation is to skip eating at this airport entirely.

Good subs but dangerously slow for airport dining. Make sure you have the time to wait.

This place serves great Lenny’s food at prices fantastic for airport food. However, it doesn’t offer anything close to the speed of Lenny’s service. Orders came out of order with the people behind me in line getting their sandwich orders well before I did. I wouldn’t visit if you are pressed to get onto a plane in the near or somewhat near future.

Slow. Slow. Slow. I am watching the sandwich artist making four subs. He is slowly, slowly adding one ingredient at a time. He is cross checking his list. Slowly wrapping each up. Taking a break in between. Luckily there is no one else here so it doesn’t really matter.

Best layover meal stop without busting your wallet! Unilocal led me here when I was waiting to connect in Memphis and I was not disappointed. Unlike other airport food places, Lenny’s delivered great quality sub sandwich. I got the meatball sandwich and just when I thought it looked rather ordinary, I tasted it and it was so good that I accidentally bit the inside of my mouth! If you are in the Memphis airport for a layover, grab a sub here!

Unilocal reviews led me to Lenny’s, and the reviews did not steer me wrong. I got the Italian, a fountain drink, and a cookie for less than $ 10.00, which isn’t bad at all for the airport. The sandwich was not the best Italian sub I’ve had, but it was good as was the service. Other reviewers noted long lines, but I didn’t encounter that. There was no line at all, but it was only about 11:30 a.m., on Memorial Day. I did notice a few airline crew members coming in while I was eating, which suggests it’s one of the better options at Memphis Intl., which other reviewers have noted as well.

I had a layover in Memphis and was looking for a healthy place for lunch. Airport terminal didn’t seem to have many choices so decided on a black bean patty veggie sub on wheat bread.(Only 6 dollars) The bean patty was served hot, bread was nice and warm, and the veggies were fresh. I also recommend the black olives. It was quite delicious. I was skeptical about this place because it was located in an airport with little competition but they definitely do a great job. I was as pleased as I could be. One of the ladies who worked there even came around to ask how the food was while I was eating. Now that is southern hospitality! Thank you for giving us an affordable healthy option in an airport setting!

Solid Italian sandwich. I suggest adding bacon though, it needed a little crunch. Also, avoid the cheddar chips.

Meh. Don’t go for breakfast unless you are looking for blah eggs on yesterday’s bread. Also the kitchen does not look extremely clean. Prices are probably better than most airport options considering the size of the sub.

Lenny’s Sub Shop does not look very promising from the exterior, but I was very impressed with my sub sandwich! I ordered an Italian sandwich that delivered a lot of flavor. Even the cookie that I purchased was soft and gooey. I would definitely grab some food to go from Lenny’s if I’m ever in the Memphis Airport again in the future.

I was pleasantly surprised by the sandwich I got. I had enough time to kill so I walked around looking at all my options, and the reviews and opted for here. I got the turkey and provolone on wheat. It was $ 7 and I for what I got, I think it was a good deal. There was quite a bit of turkey and the banana peppers and red pepper relish made the sandwich taste good.

Relish on the sandwhich is the only way to go… I have walked by Lennys for years because the lines were to long — now I see why. I liked it so much that after my flight was cancelled and I had to stay the night — I had it for breakfast on the plane. I would eat here everytime — the employees were cool and did I say get the hot(not to hot) relish… I will buy a jar when I travel back through here on the way home next time.

Very helpful staff and wonderful sandwich. I ordered the Italian on wheat and couldn’t be more pleased. The sweet tea is over the top. Way too sweet and I’m from the South and like it sweet but this was ridiculous :-) I highly recommend this little sandwich shop!

In comparison to other Lenny’s throughout Memphis, the airport version is understandably lesser with higher prices. However, when comparing it to the rest of the subpar airport eateries and especially the pre-wrapped deli sammies at various newstands /convenience kiosks, Lenny’s is astonishingly decent. During the daytime rush, there are going to be lines. The staff always seems slow and undermanned, which is never a good thing when rushing to make a flight. I still know it’s going to take longer than whopper jr. at the nearby Burger King would take, hence here are a few tips to consider: * Not feeling a sandwich? Shoot for a salad. They’re pre-made, easy to eat, and come in a nice little container for future storage /stowaway. * Beware of toasting your sandwich or getting a hot sub. A meatball is the easiest of the bunch while the Philly cheesesteak will take some time to cook. At least it all smells good. * Cold subs are my favorite choices. The mile high turkey(turkey + provolone) and Italian(low grade ham, prosciutto, capicola, salami — slapped with some provolone) are tasty when fresh. Throw in a combo for good measure, sure beats buying a drink. * Cheese lovers might be disappointed that there are only a few choices(mainly American and provolone). Before you get all riled up, just remember an airport location is like a condensed downgrade of the real thing. * Tastes like subway, but nearly double the cost? No $ 5 foot longs here. The cookies and chips aren’t worth your time, but if you have to, order it in a combo.

Normally I give Lenny’s 5 stars but this airport location has the longest lines! They need some faster staff. Seriously, they will stop and chat with their friends that work at other parts of the airport instead of take your order — we’re at an airport — I’m trying to catch a plane. My boyfriend thought he knew subs — silly boy. I’ll give him a break since he’s from LA but he made a bet with me that Lenny’s wouldn’t be the most amazing sub he has ever had in his life! …needless to say, I won that bet. Now every time he comes to Memphis, Lenny’s is a ritual! And he always gets to the airport early so he can stand in that long line and have a sub for the plane ride. I don’t know if they have a secret ingredient or do something to their bread… maybe it is because everything is so fresh? But you can’t go wrong here. Everything is good! I love their turkey sub but if I’m having a fat day I’ll just go for it and eat a meatball sub! Definitely the best part of the airport, just give yourself time for the line(located in the Delta terminal)!

I would so give this place a 4 star for the food. I ordered the Italian sub and it was delicious until I found a hair in the wrapper. But I understand it happens so I told a lady at the counter about the situation nicely. She did not apologize or anything but she did ask me if I want a refund or another sandwich. At the point I found the hair, I already ate half of the sandwich so I asked for a refund. So she grabbed a different lady who does the transaction for sale(I believe her name was Felicia) and I have to say she was very very rude. She had a nasty attitude and she was doubting that the hair was mine when I have a long brown hair and the hair in the wrapper was short and black. She demanded me to give her the drink which I already drank half and the unopened chips back. As I was returning the chips and the drink, a gentleman who also works there told me to just take them. I am giving this place 2 star only because of their food and the nice man who works there. Otherwise I would have given a 1-star. The management seriously needs to look over their staffs and their customer service skills.
