This Mapco is at the end of my street. It’s a quick walk from my front door if I choose. Usually though, I drive there en route either to my house or away from my house. I visit a lot since it is so close… but sometimes I would rather drive a mile out of my way to get whatever it is that I need. Here’s some good things about this station: It’s clean The staff is friendly There is a Quizno’s inside There are usually cops here… as customers Here’s some not so good things about this station: It’s busy! Parking is limited They tend to run out of coffee… a lot!

This Mapco will be the death of me– I swear it. I want to love it– it’s clean, it’s 2 minutes from my house, it’s got a Quiznos inside and it has some pretty kick ass cookies in a bakery case near the door. Let me be honest– I would be loyal to this gas station for those cookies alone if it weren’t for the blaringly obvious problems. This location is always insanely, stab my eyeballs out with a fiery hot poker– busy. I usually have to wait for a pump if I need gas. More recently, I find that the pumps won’t take my card and I have to go inside to pay. When I let the staff know the pump isn’t working, they are well aware– but I suppose posting a sign on said pump is out of the question. And if you do need to go inside for anything? Yeah forget about it. I habitually wait in lines 7 – 10 people deep here. It’s a hot spot for those lottery freaks, and it never fails– I always get stuck behind the dude who wants a dozen tickets all with different numbers coinciding with his Great, Great Aunt’s birthday. The staff never seems to be in any hurry either. Hell, I would even take a team effort for efficiency over hurry if it would speed the process up a notch. I have to give it 2 stars instead of 1, simply because it really is a great gas station, arguably one of the cleanest in Midtown. It’s in a really popular spot in Midtown which doesn’t help much in the way of the crowds. I just have decided after much frustration and wasted time here that I need to avoid it at all costs. It isn’t worth the stress.
