The pizza is always awesome. We always get the Philosophers pizza which never fails to provide nothing but great service. Have tried a few other pizzas & they were all delicious. The restrooms are clean & there are baby changing station in the men’s & women’s restroom!

Always a pleasant atmosphere at the Mellow Mushroom! They have a great drink menu with a tremendous beer selection. We’re having the Philosophers Pie and the Gourmet White. Excellent as always. Staff is great. If you haven’t been, go!

Best pizza in Memphis. Sorry, Garibaldi’s, but you are my go-​to if the Shroom is not available. Gotta get the house special if you like PHut’s Super Supreme. MM’s version beats the roof off of the hut!

We had the Mighty Meaty and I really loved the cheese. A lot of places the cheese on the pizza is bland but here it has a very good flavor.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Matter of fact, if negative stars was an option, I would pick that. My experience was sub par. There was this older woman with very bad sweat stains and an obviously forced smile who was very rude. My food arrived at my table, and it was mediocre at best. The crust tasted as if it had been previously frozen and then thawed out, possibly the night before. Their open kitchen concept allowed me to see the entire process, and their dirty hippy kitchen crew all looked to be «under the influence» if you know what I mean. I have informed all of my business associates to never patronize this establishment. I will not return, ever.

Ended up at the bar for a while when our power went out. Service was good and they have a pretty nice bar. The place is fun inside and I’m sure the kids love it. Pizza, sandwich and pretzels were all ok but nothing special. We every once in a while mention the place but just never seem to go back. There are worse pizza places though.

Came with a crowd for a birthday pary. Love love love décor and the variety. We had a pretty fun time and the pizzas all looked tasty. I’ve been to different locations in the past (before I Unilocaled, sadly) so I knew I liked the pizza but alas had no idea what I liked. However, the fact that they only sell slices M-​F from 11 – 2 pretty much kills this place for me. Hubby and I will never agree on a pizza (we already tried this time). So we can’t agree on a pizza, are too broke to get our own, and they only sell slices when I literally cannot be there (hello teaching job). Sooooooooo I will literally be unable to return. Maybe I’ll return in the summer if some friends want to go. I remember liking what I got at different locations in the past… but I was always able to get a slice… and it was usually at dinner time. So maybe just this location has that stipulation.

My first time here and the pizza was awesome. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant as well. A good place to go on Sundays as well and catch some football.

Just ridiculous! My sister and I went here because while going to school in knoxville a lot of people were going and said they liked it. Maybe it’s just the one in memphis but this was horrible. The atmosphere is interesting and plenty to take in but the food is horrible. First we tried the pretzels and they were sent back because they were raw inside. Second we got the pizza and it was raw inside. Had my sister not worked at a pizza joint we may have eaten it thinking thats how they come sometimes but no! just terrible… Thirdly, we left! Never going back in life.

My boyfriend and I went here on a Thursday night and I wasn’t in the mood to have a good time at all, but the staff and the atmosphere was amazing. The food was fast and so good and there was more than enough to take home for lunch the next day. Our waiter even helped us find new beers that we would like and gave us free samples so we wouldn’t be buying something we hated. Overall, the experience was amazing and I cannot wait to go back.

I love this place. We get pizza almost every Friday. We sit at the bar and grab a drink while we wait for our pizza to go. The staff is always very nice and they have a fantastic variety of beer selections. The pizza is always delicious and I love that they show you the pizza to make sure it’s made the way you like.

Some of the best pizza I’ve had from a theme restaurant. Usually you sacrifice quality for the lowest common denominator but not in this case. They use wheat flour in their dough, giving it a chew and flavor that is excellent.
This is also a great family restaurant, kids will love this place. The interior is done up in a sci-​fi style, mostly mushroom-​themed.

Ordered ½ Funky Q Chicken and ½ Pepperoni and Jalapeños. I got to admit, I’ve tasted a lot of pizza. My favorite is definitely right from Mellow Mushroom! Will defiantly return!

So why do people rave about this place? I’ve had pizza and a sandwich, and neither are so good that I’d want to go back there again. They were good, but nothing great.
The atmosphere is cool, but when I eat out, I go for the food, not the ambiance.
At least the servers are friendly, and the menu has a lot of options.

First off, let me thank the chef for taking the time to prepare our vegan pizza (to order) as it was definitely not a menu item after all our special requests. Thank you!
Second, thanks to our waitress also for dealing with all our vegan requests. It’s hard to eat out at restaurants when you’re on a plant-​based-​diet, but you all made it work and we were impressed with the staff and the pizza was delicious!
The only problem I had was all the craziness of people screaming at the ball game on the screen! I’m not a sports fan so I had no idea what was going on, but since there is a bar in there, and big screened televisions, there’s a certain amount of crazy that comes with those elements.
Just a note to parents, if you have little ones, please bring them during daylight hours and not when the bar is packed. It gets a little crazy at night.

It’s a basic pizza place with a good bar.
The bar is surprisingly good with a good selection of drafts and the beermeister really cares about getting good beers out there, but there isn’t much turnover with some of the beers so be careful that you don’t get an unusual option that hasn’t been changed in awhile. They do occasionally get some really rare stuff for around Memphis, so always ask what’s new on tap. The bottle selection is pretty good for the area too.
Service is always friendly, if a little slow, but the pizza is always a little weird. It’s greasy and buttery a bit too much while there don’t seem to be enough of the fresh ingredients on it. It’s a little pricey and everything seems a little… bready?, but it’s good for a large meal. I actually enjoy the Mushroom Soup a good bit as a starter and some of the appetizers can be eaten as a full meal.
