My husband and I came for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. First of all, the service that we were provided was awesome. The staff was helpful and our food came out quickly and was very good. This is an small subsidiary of PF Chang so it was very basic«Americanized» Asian food, but it was still very good. I had the Small Chicken Pad Thai. It was a very good sized portion and it was fresh and extremely tasty! I would give it a solid 4⁄5. My husband had the small caramel shrimp with fried rice and he enjoyed it very much. I tasted it as well and the flavor was unique and very good. We each had a pork egg roll and crab wontons… Both were amazingly good! The wontons were not just full of cream cheese but actually had chunks of good crab meat and the pork eggrolls were so yummy! I would give both a 5⁄5 they were so good! We also ordered 2 sushi rolls– I had the Kung Pao Shrimp Roll that was on special and it was decent. I have had much better sushi. My husband had the Wasabi Crunch Roll and while the spicy tuna was decent, he wasn’t crazy about this roll. Overall, I think I would eat sushi somewhere else. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t as good as the rest of the food that we had. However, I really enjoyed my lunch here and would come back again, but I would stick to the Wok Classics or the Noodle and Rice bowls and I would definitely have some more of those starters! I also want to give a shout out to the staff who were really fantastic! They are the reason why this review is 4 stars instead of just 3.

I have loved Pei Wei since it opened and I’ve had the opportunity to try all the delicious menu items. My favorite is Pad Thai and I get it every single time. I’ve only had minor issues pertaining to consistency to the finished product such as missing garnishes, not enough sauce or just not cooked right. I feel as though this may be because of the high turnover rate of employees but that comes with the territory. Customer service has always been near perfect and I’ll continue to visit Pei Wei. 4 stars for menu inconsistency.

Always so great when we eat here! Customer service is awesome as well! From Birmingham, AL and whenever we come in town to visit, this is ALWAYS a must to eat at while we’re here! The honey seared chicken is my favorite!

The crab wontons are awesome and that’s where my appreciation for Pei Wei ends. I ordered the Thai Dynamite, which the web site says was spicy. I like spicy, I wanted spicy, but what I got was a little bit a spice and a nauseating amount of sugar. The meat was saturated in it, and it tasted like a really awful candy. I tried wiping the gloopy candy sauce off the meat, but it was ruined. Do we really need this much sugar with our dinner?

I always have a good experience here but tonight was extra special! Not only did I get fast, excellent service but servers checked on me. One person brought me extra sauce(and she always personally checks on me when she sees that I am dining) and another checked on me to see if I needed anything. Great dinner!

It’s a ridiculous price for four people for a simple lunch all drinking water. But that’s what you get to pay for the convenience of PF Changs vacation station!

I went for lunch and was very impressed with the service. Our appetizers were delivered very quickly. The egg roll was filled with pork and fresh vegetables with a thin crispy wrapper and the crab wontons were good as well. Our Entrees arrived just after finishing the appetizers. My daughter had teriyaki steak with fried rice which was very good. I had Kung Pao beef and found the sauce very salty. The manager, who helped deliver food and clean tables asked how the meal was and when I said I found mine salty she offered to replace it. I refused as I did not want to waste the food so the manager returned with a gift card for use during our next visit. Our meal was 32.00 for apps, entrees and two drinks. I believe the managers name was Kelsey and she definitely ran a tight restaurant and was very active in keeping the food moving and tables cleared. The fast service, offering to replace my meal and then giving a gift card when I was unsatisfied makes this restaurant a breath of fresh air with so many restaurants seem to forget the meaning of service.

I love Pei Wei’s. Every entrée I’ve tried has been amazing. The service is great and my food is always hot and ready. I love getting their dinner size entrees because I can eat half and save the rest for lunch. This location is my absolute favorite in Memphis and my go-to for lo mein.

I love Pei Wei’s food but have never met a more unpleasant person working the front. So rude. Very disappointed and will be hesitant to return.

Pei Wei may not appear to be much, but I have been more times than to any other restaurant ever since they opened this first location in Memphis and I have almost never had anything less than a great experience. First off, the food tastes fresh and is almost always cooked just right. They have so much variety, from Japanese to Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and more. The price is just right in my book, and it’s casual and their pickup service is always great. I like the atmosphere; it’s got a darker interior with low lighting and black and red colors going on, but it’s real casual and so it’s a great place to go with friends to just have a good, inexpensive dinner together. I have never been disappointed with Pei Wei and will keep going back.

Awesome as always. Fresh, hot and tasty. People watching was fun too. Should a man in his fifties wear sparkly shoes?

Too expensive for the type of place it was. Food was the same quality as panda express and the price was 30 bucks for two plates(i ordered the small plate). Didnt like the sweet and sour chicken and my noodles had no flavor. Their chicken teryiaki is great though. Would recommend to order their teryiaki steak and chicken. However last 2 times I went they were out of sushi :(

Love this place! My favorite is the teriyaki chicken with noodles, no other place has better teriyaki sauce in my opinion. I have been eating at Pei Wei for years before I move to West TN and now go here whenever I’m in Memphis. This trip I ordered the honey seared chicken which I did not care for and they were soooo nice and switched it for teriyaki at no charge :) so I left happy with a belly full!

I used to go to the one in Memphis when I was living on campus. I loved it so much that when I saw the chance to eat at another one I was super excited.(I was sad when the one in Memphis closed). It’s been awhile, but I think I remember enjoying the Thai Dynamite and Pei Wei Spicy but I’d need to try them again to make sure I still like them. I was craving Pad Thai, so I gave it a shot. However, I really didn’t like it here. The noodles are a little too thick and chewy and the nuts are halved instead of crushed. Also, the flavors were just not what I was expecting. I know I like this place, but I will need to stick to Thai places whenever I get Pad Thai cravings. I’m sad though because it ripped my stomach up pretty bad. I’d have to try it again but I’m afraid my stomach may not be able to handle the food here anymore. I will definitely try it again if I get the chance. The service was great. The servers helped me out and got me any of the things I asked such as extra limes, peanuts, and chile flakes. REALLYWANTTOTRY: Japanese Chile Ramen Love: Spring Rolls Mandarin Kung Pao(with lo mein instead of rice) Spicy Korean Thai Dynamite Like: Crab Wontons Hot & Sour Soup Thai Wonton Soup Kung Pao Chicken Pei Wei Spicy(retry) Ehh: Minced Chicken with Cool Lettuce Wraps Pad Thai Sweet & Sour

I have only been burned here once on Vietnamese spring rolls which were spoiled. The manager gave me a gift card and I will never order them again. Order in the front and you can either take the carryout home or eat in. Good service, nice staff but Americanized Chinese food. I am endlessly perplexed by the coke machine. Even the diet coke button leads to an array of flavored selections not just plain caffeinated diet coke. There is a a sweet tea urn and a unsweetened green tea urn with orange flavoring. No simple unsweetened black tea. I prefer family owned authentic Asian food but then I am more adventurist than most.

This our absolute favorite restaurant! Every time we eat here we are pleased with our service. Yesterday we ate there for lunch. We ordered our usual and when they came out I noticed the noodles had an off color as well as a weird taste. My daughter noticed too. Since we eat here at least once a week, I knew there was something wrong with the noodles. I spoke with the manager and he was so polite, took our food and remade everything, then only charged us half price for our meal. Everyone here is always pleasant, the food is reasonably priced and they give fairly big portions.

The food here is great. If you like PF Chang’s, you’ll like Pei Wei. Many of the items on their menu are featured here, along with some other things you can’t get there. It’s also very reasonably priced, since it doesn’t involve waiter service. However, they do bring the food to your table and if you ever need anything that isn’t out(say, you need more of the sauce that came with your meal) there’s always people walking around you can ask. The only thing I hate is the seating. Since it’s all self-service people can sit wherever they want and stay for as long as they want. It means if you go at the wrong time, you’ll find people sitting alone hogging an entire booth, leaving you with your larger party screwed. But I try to go at off times and it’s fine. Oh, and their take out system is awesome. You can order everything online(I love restaurants that offer this), walk in, and pick it up. Plus the packaging for everything is great. They give you plenty of plasticware, napkins, soy sauce, etc. I love take out places that do that, rather than just assuming you have everything already.(What if I’m staying at a hotel?) It’s a great restaurant. You get restaurant style quality at fast casual prices.
