Come to this place often with my girlfriend. We used to love this place but after tonight I am really questioning whether we will come back. The food which is usually wonderful was just okay and the service tonight was awful. Only one woman was working the floor while three others stood around and watched her. The other staff gave off a feeling of disgust that they had to serve us. Really sad.

This place used to good, really disappointed, smelly menus, spring roles had hard rice paper spots, the beef phở was mostly water very little veggies and beef, pieces of onion skin mixed in soup and chunks of jalapeño looked as if the broke it by hand instead using a knife, looks like they don’t care anymore, not going back…

I had never had phở but always wanted to try it. Luckily, my friend Felicia was craving this place so we went. Wow! It was so yummy! I had the fried pork egg rolls, which were OUTSTANDING, while Felicia opted for the shrimp spring rolls. They were quite amazing as well and enormous. Then I had the Phở Tai, and requested for the meat to be well done since I’m pregnant which the owner gladly accommodated. Felicia got the Phở Tai Nam. Both of us were more than satisfied and happy with our meal. Super tasty! Tip: if you’re interested in lunch, get there before noon. By 12:15, there wasn’t an empty table. Overall, great food, good value at a clean, cheery place. I highly recommend.

first experience eating Phở. Loved it and I thought the portions and flavor were awesome. I went in Sunday morning and they were very friendly and the food was served promptly. I recommend it highly.

I can’t express my LOVE for this place enough. It has been 10 years since I’ve eaten here. I’ve lived in California and New York since then and I’ve NEVER had phở ANYTHING close to Phở Saigon’s. This place has been passed on from generation to generation and the proof is in the broth= out of this world. No phở I’ve tasted can compare! Even though the phở is my favorite between coast to coast, their beef rice pancakes(banh uot) is MIND-BLOWING!!! I have scoured Vietnamese menus for the past 10 years from state to state and haven’t found it once. This place will always have a special place on my palate. Thank you Phở Saigon for being so awesome. I wish I could take you to NYC with me…

My wife and I came here for some phở and beef curry noodle… both dishes were absolutely horrible. If I could give 0 stars I would, and I love Vietnamese food. When I told the boss lady that I didn’t like my meal, she gave me attitude and said that it’s because I like Chinese food. Lady, I like good food and I’m sorry your phở is tasteless and everything was made with cheap, low quality ingredients. I usually never give reviews like this, but I feel that people are giving robo reviews on here and people deserve the truth. If you like great tasting, fresh Vietnamese food, try somewhere else.

The food is OK, the service is OK and the place is OK. Nothing really bad but nothing great either. A solid«meh».

The three star rating is probably right on the money. I’ve had some just not good dishes but the Banh Mi is pretty good. The avocado shake was good but the pork rolls are not. Service is usually ok if not friendly. It was 90 degrees in the place today. Edit– had the beef phở today and it ok. Not great but not bad. The best phở is town is noodle star. Phở Saigon can be a bit inconsistent also.

I’ve given this place more tries than it deserves, really. Everything on the menu is slightly subpar, this place is good for emergency banh mi(Vietnamewse sandwich) at best. I can’t really recommend anything else here, because I don’t recommend this restaurant. Sorry.

Swung by here because i was craving phở. It was a small location but was pretty busy when i arrived. I got greeted pretty quickly and was seated right after. I ordered the phở tai nam, fried egg rolls and a banh mi(sub sandwich). The broth from the phở wasn’t bad but to me it was alittle on the bland side somi had to add extra stuff to it. Normally i don’t add anything to my broth. Egg roll comes with 2 and they are pretty darn big and last the banh mi wasn’t bad either.

Ok. I’ve been going here for phở for 12 years…(The past 6 whenever I’m in town) I haven’t been able to find phở ga this good(taste, variety and freshness of ingredients, esp. broth) in my past 4 years in Toronto.(I’ve been trying!) I’ve also been to Vietnam, and, maybe I’m biased but this Phở is as amazing if not better than any I’ve ever had. And it’s really good, super authentic, and cheap. Maybe customer service isn’t up to par, but Memphis is lucky to have this place because the food is delicious. So I just saw some bad reviews for(IMO) not very legit reasons, so I’m writing this defend one of my favourite restaurants, and hope you’ll give it a try. I’ve almost always gotten takeout,(it’s the best for a cold or hangover!) the spring rolls are really nice too.

Actually, I swore off Phở Saigon a few years ago. The food was subpar, service was rude and the store was dirty but I had a craving for Bo Kho(Vietnamese beef stew) that was stronger than my sensibility. Since Phở Vietnam closed it has been hard to find a replacement for this savory dish. A web search showed Bo Kho on Phở Saigon’s menu. I succumbed to my craving and reluctantly decided to give it another try. I ordered Spring Rolls and Bo Kho and was told«we don’t have Bo Kho.» No point in quibbling about the online menu so I ask about Bun Bo Hue(spicy beef noodle soup.) Yes, so Bun Bo Hue and spring rolls were ordered. The Spring Rolls looked good and were huge. They had potential but the wrap was too tough and chewy. The peanut sauce served with them was slightly warmed. I have never had it served warm but I did like it this way. The Bun Bo Hue looked good but sadly, it wasn’t. It was bland and the cilantro served in the soup had stems so tough you couldn’t even chew them. Service this visit was actually friendly and efficient but that didn’t help. The food is still subpar and the store is still very dirty. You guessed it, I won’t be back. Again.

Owner is very rude. Food is just ok. Poor/Non-existent customer service. Don’t bother. Instead, go to Cleveland Ave.(some good, new places) Better food and nice people.

We’ve gotten takeout from here a few times. I love the vegetable phở, though this is the first place I’ve been where phở wasn’t served with basil. Maybe it is normally though; the woman said they were out?(I was sick with a delightful cold, so we actually ate phở from here two times in four days — they were out both times). My husband is OBSESSED with the fried egg rolls and the sauce they are served with. I seriously think he would go there just to order like six of those, which is obviously a REALLY healthy dinner. My two wishes are: a menu posted online(I’ll take a photo and post here the next time I go!) and slightly friendlier service on the phone, but when I’m laid up with a cold again, I will definitely get some phở to go from here!

For a long time, I told people I did not like Vietnamese food. I do not actually remember when this sentiment took root, but I was wrong. This place is tasty. A friend of mine was in town and wanted some phở. I told her I would try it. I was pleasantly surprised. I like the Phở with pork. The pork rolls appetizer is great. The chicken wings are amazing!

Phó Saigon was, ‘erm, okay, I guess? Definitely not my favorite, and as many good ethnic places as there are in Memphis, don’t think I’ll be revisiting. Parking is a cluster, worsened by the fact that PS shares the same building as an Enterprise. I stopped by for a late lunch. Service was to-the-point(almost brusque). Place seemed reasonably clean. I ordered shrimp rolls and phó taí. The shrimp rolls were big and among the cheapest price I’ve seen — but they were overstuffed with papery, dry shredded iceberg. They were dry and tasteless, so I tried to remove some of the lettuce(TOO much lettuce!). The peanut dipping sauce the rolls were served with was sickeningly sweet — it tasted like a sundae topping. Not a fan. The phó came out quickly and it was a massive bowl, with plenty of noodles and toppings. The broth and noodles were fine, but my main problem with the phó was the sliced beef: there was a LOT of meat(this is usually a good thing), but this was some of the most unpalatable beef I have ever seen in phó. It was chewy, tough, and tasted and smelled weird. I began to just pick it out and set it to the side because I disliked it so much. Totally bill excluding tip was about $ 12.50.

Their phở are great. I’ve been coming here from time to time past 8 years and the taste of their phở hasn’t been changed much. But I do feel like the amount of meat in the phở has been decreased. My favorite thing other than their phở is their chicken wings. Please do try. They are crispy and sweet. I love them!!! I would eat their chicken wings every day if I wasn’t concerned about my cholesterol. Service? Don’t expect too much from these folks. The lady will get your refills only if she wants too. No fountain drinks that are refillable. You will get canned cokes and such. No refills. It is weird thing to eat phở with fountain drink anyway. Stay authentic folks ;-) Their bubble teas are awesome too by the way.

Having a pesky summer cold Is never a good thing. Thank God I spotted this place on my way home one afternoon. Their phở is amazing as well as other dishes that include: Stir Fry Rice, Spring Rolls etc. The Phở was fresh, delicious and hit the right spot. Must Have!!!

This is the first Vietnamese restaurant I ever went to, and 15 years later, after having gone to *many* it’s still one of my faves. I used to be turned off because of the service(yes, it’s bad… like most Vietnamese restaurants), but after I kept returning, the staff totally warmed up to me and even cracked a smile or recognition. Their combo vermicellii is my favorite all time thing, and it’s certainly reasonably priced. They’re lunch menu is good, but not the best — and since everything’s pretty cheap — order off the dinner menu. Their shakes are pretty great too! No, I still don’t think there’s booze there, but go there for lunch! …and you will be full enough(off $ 7) for a liquid dinner somewhere else(Bosco’s??)

**banh mi** & **phở tai** I like it a lot, if not only b/c it is the furthest East of any of the Vietnamese restaurants! Their **spring rolls** w/shrimp are the best. I also love the lemongrass tofu. SERVICEISHITORMISSTHOUGH :(
