A hidden gem of a place for lunch or breakfast buffet at a reasonable price. Definitely check this place out.

Mediocre service and sub-par food. The food took FORVER to come out and I was the only diner in the restaurant on a Friday. I ordered a burger and it was cooked wrong, I had incorrect condiments and the server was less than happy to make sure my dining experience was a good one. Get in your car and leave the Hilton to eat. You will get better service and save money.

This a place you may have never heard of or seen. They are cranking out southern classics perfectly. Especially on Fridays. They have all you can eat fried chicken and real catfish. The service was purely Southern and Memphis, which means great. If Ms. Pat is your server you will be taken care of very well.

Had the Ribeye with potato croquet and roasted Brussels sprouts. EXCELLENT! Quality food and wonderful service. Not a typical Hotel restaurant by any means. Give it a chance & you won’t regret it.

Breakfast buffet was $ 15 but they had lots of choices. There were two egg dishes, bacon, sausage patties, French toast, hash browns, bagels, toast, croissants, muffins, Danishes, cereal, yogurt, tons of fresh fruit(blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, apples, oranges), granola, yogurt, coffee, and milk of various fat contents. There wasn’t any juice but I didn’t ask. They had one of those wheel toaster things as well. All in all it was pretty tasty and great variety and I loved the fruit. The staff was all super nice and there is a lovely view of the fountain with geese! So food is typical but choice makes it a 3.5 and staff and view pushes it to four and the fact I took an orange and cereal out with me in plain view and they let me!

Typical hotel breakfast, but great service and some excellent grits and oatmeal… just smooth and creamy.

I had a really pleasant experience at Rook’s for breakfast during my stay in Memphis. The prices were reasonable, the staff was tremendously friendly, and the food was good. I didn’t get anything intricate, just did the normal breakfast buffet. I will say though, I haven’t had their dinner, but the restaurant manager was explaining to me that they have a whole new dinner menu coming out soon. Looking forward to trying it on my next stay. FYI — this IS in the bottom of the Hilton Memphis. Just park normally outside, go in through the lobby, and you’ll see some stairs to your left. Really nice on a summer morning to watch the geese that are nesting next to the windows overlooking their pond. Enjoy!

We went here for dinner late one evening a couple weeks ago. We did not have much of a choice, as our flight had been delayed and we were too tired to look for something else decent and open late nearby. The food wasn’t bad, but it was way overpriced(even for a hotel). Like the other reviewer said, it was too cold in the restaurant. Then…breakfast. This was my big mistake. I thought I’d grab a quick bite here before going to the office. The food was probably ok, but there was a roach on the cover over the grits, and it was even more overpriced than dinner. I didn’t go back there the rest of the week.

Located under the Hilton Hotel. The service was good but bring a sweater! It gets a bit chilly down there. I ordered the seafood bisque which was tasty but it was a hint saltier than I would like. I also ordered the Shrimp Mango Salad which was mediocre. The prices weren’t the best but for a last minute dinner downstairs, it would have to do.
