Sam’s Southern Eatery

This was a hard restaurant for me to rate. Pretty much everyone in my workplace absolutely LOVES this place. I went for the first time today and ya know, it was good, but I’m not as wild about it as my coworkers — it’s three hours later and they’re all still talking about it. I’d like to give it 3.5 stars but I’m rounding up to give them the benefit. But they’re new to this location so they’re doing pretty well for themselves in regards to local business employees.
I ordered the 3-​piece chicken strip meal and actually got 6 strips so that was a plus. Everyone told me that whenever their meal comes out it’s exciting to see what extra items have been thrown on. Sometimes there’s extra shrimp or catfish thrown in with another meat. Always an adventure!
My coworker got the fried shrimp and let me try it and I was disappointed with the quality. I LOVE fried shrimp so I’m not sure why, but it just wasn’t that good. I recommend Soul Fish for fried shrimp. Mmmmm.
