Shoney’s

Service was amazing. The staff members worked very hard to provide a good experience for everyone. The store was clean, just could have had a little more care when it came to having tables cleaned off. The food was made fresh, the one downfall was that we ordered chicken fingers and the looked like chicken nuggets when they came out. Really small, not worth the price.

I had the day off from work so I decided to go to Shoney’s for the breakfast buffet. The service was below standards. The first issue was the hostess seated me at a table that was still in service. The other patrons at the table were at the buffet bar and the bus boy cleared the table while they were up. As the hostess was seating me, they started yelling at her for giving their table away and taking their drinks away. She had me get up and seated me at another table. The second issue was when I went to the buffet bar the first time, there were no breakfast plates, just the cold silver plates normally set out for salads or cold food items. Since I was hungry, I grabbed one of the silver plates and put my hot breakfast items on it. The third issue was when I went to the buffet bar the second time, they were completely out of all plates. There were about six of us standing there waiting for clean plates for about three minutes. The fourth issue was when I went to sit down after going to the buffet bar the second time, the bus boy had cleared my table my drink, silverware, and napkin were gone. When I finally got the attention of my waitress, she brought me another drink and silverware. The final issue was with check-​out. One cashier started to check me out and then he got caught up trying to help another cashier log on to her register while I patiently waited for about three minutes. I could not get out of there fast enough. Because of the poor service, I will not be going back to this location.

I went here for the dinner buffet, only because I wanted something different. This is the first time I have eaten the dinner, I usually try the breakfast. I should’ve known to turn around when I only saw one customer inside at 7 P.M. on a Monday night. I noticed the cooks were adding water to food when it looked dry instead of just stirring it. The sweat tea was really bland. I’m pretty sure they only have unsweetened tea. Be mindful of the baked/​fried meat. It may be undercooked. The manager didn’t charge us for the meal, but this is a reminder. Only eat here for breakfast.

I have been here twice before.
The first time we came i got the buffet. Food was okay but things had a skin on them. Not a very big buffet but it was decent for the price.
The second time we came I ordered a chicken skillet. I waited what seems like 15 – 20 minutes until they came out and told us they had not started on my order and that we had an order ahead of us. Kind of strange how long it took them to them to tell us that considering besides me i dont think anyone was being cooked for (execpt people who called in). We left and i dont really want to come back. Does not seem worth the price and wait

I ordered the buffet, since i love breakfast, and was thoroughly impressed. The service was a little lagging, considering there were only like 5 in the restaurant, but she was friendly. I will definitely be back !
