Blown Fuse Glass Studio @ Studio 1688 was the location for my group event. Owner Teresa White was very accommodating, explaining every step of the process, and helping our group of novice glass fusers with special requests and advice on what might look best. This is a great activity for a group– less expensive than the painting-and-wine, and you will go home with a small blown glass ornament or pick up your fused glass pieces a couple days later. I made a magnet, which slumped down really smoothly and looks pretty nice for a first attempt! Friends assembled glass trivets, pendants, and magnetic vases. I said«good for kids», but specifically mean kids 10& up. Glass shards are easy to run your hand over on the work surface, and instructions must be carefully followed, for safety’s sake. Private groups can be accommodated, or check our groupon for deals on group classes on Friday or Saturday. My one tiny suggestion is to have an email address on the website to make communication easier. See website and article links below.
