Marquel is still the bartender of my choice here. This young man has got it going on! Great smile, quick thinker and a heck of a mixologist. Watched him make up a blueberry martini for another customer. I swear on her first sip, her eyes rolled up into the back of her head. I thought we were going to witness a live remake of the infamous scene from«When Harry Met Sally»!

Um… Easily 5 stars. We went on a Monday. $ 3 martinis and other drinks, too. We had a couple of martinis and the vodka was absolut I think so not too shabby. They were filled to the brim. They also give you chips and salsa. The place has a classy feel with cheap prices on Monday. I’ll definitely return.

Very nice location downtown. Nice mix of business travelers, locals and tourist. Elegant without being stuffy. Service is friendly but not overly familiar. Very reasonable prices especially considering it is located in the northwest corner of the, world famous, Peabody Hotel.

What an elegant and lovely bar. The décor is sophisticated yet comfortable and not stuffy. An excellent barstaff that are professional and attentive. There are world class liquors and spirits and a wonderful wine list. Daily drink specials from 5 – 7 are great!

Well well well what do we have here? A classy bar, that’s what. I have no idea how I’ve made it 30 years without coming to this magical place… especially since it is IN the Peabody! And as embarrassing as this is(especially given that I’m supposed to know inside info such as this…), I’ll admit that for the longest time when people told me they were at the Corner Bar, I thought they were referring to the Lobby Bar of the Peabody… which made absolutely zero sense to me since there is a listing for the Lobby Bar as well as the Corner Bar. Thank heavens Shaina G set me straight. You see, Wine Down Wednesdays are now our thing. So if you go to the Corner Bar any Wednesday from 5 – 7 pm, there is a 99% chance you will see me attempting to not fall off a bar stool and asking the bartender for another. What exactly is Wine Down Wednesday, you ask? A selection of house red and white wines for $ 3, $ 5, and $ 7 each with a Master Taster’s Flight for $ 15. Umm yeah, Hallelujah, sign me up! And they typically have some apps for a fantastic deal too(MUCH cheaper than the Lobby Bar just steps away). And even though the bar is in a hotel, there are still a ton of locals who go… because it is downtown in a primo spot with a baller ambience. That being said, there are also super cute business guys traveling and looking for a flirty conversation and they *might* just buy you a drink. They also have special on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5 – 7 pm: 3 X 3 Monday Mania: A bartender’s special Martini, Margarita, and Mojito for $ 3 each. Tennessee Tuesdays — Brews, Blues & Booze: A selection of Tennessee Beers and Spirited Cocktails for $ 3 each. So if I see you next Wednesday, don’t make fun of me. Just prop me back up on the stool, I’ll be fine.

Definitely worth a visit if you want a cheap evening drink — Monday and Tuesday happy hours specials were great. Not the place if you want a lively scene, but bartenders and waiters were nice and good place to cozy up with some strong drinks.

This is more secluded, for lack of a better word, than the lobby bar. It’s not as fun maybe because you don’t get to watch the ducks splash around, but it can be quieter and they have drink specials a few nights a week. It’s also darker than being in the lobby so not really the place to sit, read and have a cocktail. This is more of a place to have a drink before dinner with friends or colleagues or on your own. Nice atmosphere. Typical professional Peabody staff.

Bartender’s are uninterested, bar snacks are stale, food is just OK. Currently empty, however it took close to 30 mins for a salad. Not sure how long the rest of my meal will take. :(I only stopped in since I’m staying here at the Peabody. Will not be coming back the rest of this stay or the next.

The bar is fantastic here! All the Peabody bars are fantastic. I was unable to try the food while here but decided to add this bar to Unilocal thanks to the great experience. Garrety has been the bartender of our choice the entire weekend so he comes highly recommended. He has awesome knowledge on what he is making, a wonderful bar experience.
