This is my neighborhood liquor store, and I love to go in and browse. I can spend all day looking at all the crates and walls full of wine, champagne and liqueurs. I must say that I have always found the bottle I was looking for, even a couple of obscure wines, so I have to rate this store well. While the presentation is a bit messy, it does create a comfortable atmosphere and the staff are always courteous and available to help with those bottles near the ceiling!

I like this store! There isn’t a huge selection but more than likely… they got what you need! The staff is super friendly and had great wine recommendations. I didn’t see too much liquor though. It seems more wine focused, which is A-OK with me.

The Spirits Shoppe is not our usual liquor store, rather a place to jog into at the last minute on our way to a party. The store is crammed completely full with brown boxes, awkwardly positioned posts, and has a great selection of liquor and wine. As a previous reviewer posted, the chilled selection is smallish, so be warned. I would not recommend bringing your children into this store– there is not room for a cart or stroller, rather handbaskets only! Conveniently located on Poplar near Erin Drive.

The Spirits Shoppe boasts a large selection of wines — a ton, really, in the somewhat smallish space. Their selection of California wines is excellent, although they didn’t have Five Rivers — they get a pass, it’s often hard to find. The walls are lined to the ceiling with Pinot Noirs, Reislings, and the like. They line the center of the store in shorter columns, and there are cardboard boxes stacked with wine at the base of those. If you do have trouble finding a particular brand, you’re most likely in the minority. The staff was quick to help me find various other favorites without an issue. For the fancier types, you can find the delicious Clos du Bois, or if you’re on a lesser budget, some popular favorites like Fat Bastard or Bogle. They carry a good selection of liquors — Smirnoff, Jäger, and cordials like Godiva. Only downside is that their selection of chilled booze is small.
