Bad experiences for a while. Today though while waiting for cigars in plus 90 degree heat while they suffer on the truck it was not until just prior to seven o clock that the site suddenly said address validation needed. I live ten houses from the corner of Park and Mt. Moriah and left the porch light on, have no gate, fence, trees obstructing the numbers on the mailbox and left«leave on front porch under mailbox» in the notes when filling out the order information. It is too bad UPS seems more concerned with having online chatters and out of town call centers ready at the drop of a dime as opposed to capable drivers who do not constantly disappoint customers who use the website for ETA as encouraged. This is the last straw for me I have had it with UPS drivers doing one thing while the website tracking page states another. In fact I have to admit it is the postal workers I see in the area that deliver without doubt and drive safe while being courteous. Another topic I know but the UPS drivers speed through everywhere and I have seen both the small brown trucks and eighteen wheelers used by UPS drive recklessly and even called in a big rig number to whatever available customer service connector when I was nearly killed by his reckless driving over the 240 bridge. Yep I am done with UPS for good at home and in business. Also, I worked unloading the trucks off Millbranch at the hub when I was younger you would not believe the abuse allowed and the disregard for package integrity.

If you do NOT want to receive a package then use UPS. I had a package not delivered to my apartment building where there is a management office that is open to receive packages. Called to direct them to redeliver it and instead of re-delivering it they sent it back to the sender. Drivers are confused and service center is disorganized. I would never use UPS if possible… FEDEX or the USPS is much better.

Pathetic service and unprecedentedly bad customer service. A package was supposed to be delivered to me today by COB and at 5:30 pm the tracking site was updated to say that a valid address was required. 1. They had a valid address clearly stated in the web site 2. Deliveries have been made here several times in the past and the courier was able to find my clearly numbered house 3. A UPS truck was parked in front of a house down the street not 10 minutes prior to the proclamation that a valid address was needed. When I called customer service at 5:45 the agent repeated to me the correct address for shipment but in no way could tell me why the courier couldn’t find my house. The only offer made was for me to drive and pick the package up. This is totally unacceptable when the delivery failure was in no way my fault but was instead the fault of the courier, who clearly needs a serious evaluation and that the courier was very likely still on the road! Do they not have radios in those trucks! Horrible, pathetic service and I will require all orders to me to be sent by another carrier in the future or I will not make the purchase.

Since I live in an apartment and I work evenings, the chances of me getting a package the same day is slim to none. With that being said, I have been well acquainted with the UPS Customer Center. Located across the street from MEM airport, this CC is attached to the Oakhaven hub. With that being said, public access is very limited– so make sure you park in the right place, unless you want to get chased by security(this is a TSA protected area). The CC has odd hours, Monday-Friday 8A-1130A; 5 – 8:30PM. So when I do have to get a package, my sleep is usually cut short, and that sucks big time(as I am sitting here at work writing this review, absolutely exhausted on a Sat morning). That is my only complaint about this place. The CC is spacious, and has plenty of computers to get the job done if you need to ship anything all the tools you need are there. Both times I have been there, I have dealt with the same lady– she is very friendly and gets my packages quickly. At least I know my packages are in good hands when they are here, I just wish their hours would be extended during the day!
