My daughter had a flat tire on her bike while we were several miles into a group ride. We stopped by this shop right at their closing time on a Sunday afternoon. They stayed late to fix her bike and we were on our way a few minutes later. We have been back and purchased some shoes and other equipment. The shop is small but the service is very personal. Everyone who works there seems very knowledgable of their products. A good customer experience!

The first time I walked in the shop years ago, I noticed the place was clean, well organized, and the bikes were NICE. I told the shop owner that I needed a road bike as I was going to do my very first road race, Rouge Roubaix in Louisiana. After some astonishment that this would be my first road race, the guys set me up on a Cervelo R3. This ended up being the perfect bike for that mix of road racing and comfort. Fast forward almost 4 years later, and these guys continue to be my shop of choice. From the first class apparel, the best advice and nutrition, even their training side of the business, Propel, these guys get you ready to race. I have gotten to know Clark over the past few years traveling and racing together. He always puts on first class events and suggests the best races for your calendar. There is no one else in town that has the knowledge and experience of Victory Bicycle Studio. Check ‘em out!

I can not speak for others that have bought bikes from this shop. In my opinion, I can not recommend buying a custom bike from this shop. After having the bike, an Open U.P., for a couple of months, I have nearly rebuilt the entire bike. The list of things that, in my opinion, were wrong, is amazing. Things like wrong center-lock adapters(causing rotors to come loose during a ride), brake calipers that had been ground down with a Dremel to make the rear caliper fit the frame, defective wheels that had to be replaced by Enve(something that should have been caught by the builder), defective shifter/brake lever that was replaced by Shimano, paint gouges from putting the rear wheel in, a fork that had paint that didn’t match the frame, and having the rotor dig into the paint, and a many other problems. This review is my opinion but I can not suggest that anyone buy a bike from this shop.

I had just moved to town and needed a quick turn-around(same day) on a bike tune-up. I called these guys, and they said it would be no problem. Best customer service I have ever received. Now my Mongoose mountain bike runs like a dream; it’s like I’m pedaling on air. Highly recommended.

I’m returning to cycling and am relying on this team to ease me on. After several months of riding evidently my fit needed adjusting — one minor tweak and some recent hip pain is gone! Do yourself a favor and get(re)fit by a pro!

Memphis is a strange cycling town. We don’t have a lot of bike shops, nor do we have a lot of riders. Memphis is quickly improving in these areas, but like everything here, progress is slow. Victory is part bike shop, part lifestyle. I mean this in a neutral way. It may intimidate you, if all you’re looking for is a Greenline bicycle. If you’re serious about going fast, this shop will appeal to you. I’m gonna tell you why I like it. Victory takes the guesswork out of your purchases. Being a small place, they don’t have room to carry everything for everybody. So… they carry a small selection of the things that they believe are stellar products within their price range. And generally, I’ve found them to be spot-on. I’ll give you an example: Let’s say you need a water bottle cage… and it needs to be light, and probably Carbon Fiber. Victory has one model, maybe a couple of colors, but it’s gonna be the best one on the market. It might be 7 dollars more than the one you saw online by some company they don’t carry. The one they do carry(in my case a Arundel Mandible Cage) will be worth the price. It’s the best cage I’ve ever used… and I’ve been riding bikes since BEFORE Carbon Fiber! Their stuff works, and that’s that! All of the guys that work here are seriously knowledgeable and will be glad to talk to you. I think every single one of them rides seriously. If there’s a guy in here over 150 pounds, I’ve yet to see them. I can promise you this… these guys aren’t eating lunch at the Broadway Pizza up the street! I’d apply for a job here, but I think I’m about 60 pounds over their weight limit! These little guys are probably fast as hell and can tell you how to get fast, too! The road bikes they carry are Orbea, and Pinarello primarily, which are great bikes. I love the fact they carry Castelli Cycling Apparel, which they picked up last year. And since all the guys in the shop wear the same size, I don’t have to worry about them buying up the XL’s and XXL’s when the new jerseys come in! Leave something for the Fat Guys! To Sum it up… small shop, limited selection, top-notch selection, good knowledge, staff needs to eat a Pizza, you can’t go wrong here!

It’s a little strange to walk into a bicycle shop that’s only got a few bikes in it. That’s the case at Victory Bicycle Studio, a brand new shop in Cooper Young. Most of the action in the shop takes place on a small raised platform in the corner of the shop where bicycles are custom fitted to order. Shop co-owner Robert Taylor has more than 15 years of experience fitting cycles to riders’ needs. Victory deals in custom bicycles that are perfect for cycling enthusiasts, racers and hardcore commuters. The walls of their small shop are lined with a tightly curated selection of parts and gear. Owner(and semi-pro cyclist) Clark Butcher explains the reason for the highly edited selection — «We’ve got more than 30 years of combined experience with cycling. We’ve tried everything and know what works best.» If your bike needs a little work before you can take it out on the Greenline, Victory has a small mechanic’s shop in the back of the store.
