The minute you walk in you can tell the stores very well used. However the staff was very friendly and attentive to needs of the customers. I want to weigh out and show you where things are. No long lines and waiting. The store looks a little worn but I guess cuz its in a great location for all of downtown Memphis is pretty good I come back I tell anybody else come on back.

This is the BEST Walgreens in Memphis! I work downtown and live in East Memphis, but I prefer the downtown Walgreens over any in the city. The pharmacy employees know you by sight, and pull your prescription even while they are on the phone with another customer or physician’s office. There are so many tourists in downtown Memphis and the employees at this store go above and beyond to meet their needs during their stay in our town. If you are looking for Elvis memorabilia, this store has more cool stuff outside of Graceland than anywhere else. And it is on the corner! Of healthy and happiness just like the ad says! Dr. Keith and his pharmacy team are great!

A holdover from an earlier time. The aisles are cramped. There’s a creepy basement(I saw cuz the loading ramp was open in the middle of the store). And this may or may not have been part of the famous sit-ins that took place across the South. Most likely it was. Other than that, if you’re going to the muddy shores of the Mississippi, namely Tomlin Square Park, they’ve got your generic rain boots here. Or if you’re staying at the nearby swanky Madison Hotel, they’ve got that toothbrush or shaving cream you forgot to pack. So glad this isn’t like every other cookie cutter W’s on the planet. Vive le difference, W’s! P.S– closed Sundays.

Wow I wish there were a drugstore downtown that you could go to and get some service with a smile! But there isn’t! The only good thing about this place is the kitchy souvenirs of Memphis they sell. Too bad I don’t really need em!
