I have experienced one salesperson in Yarbroughs who will take advantage of you if your aren’t careful. The first time, when I was young and didn’t know better, he sold me a $ 15 mic cable with a transformer for $ 60. Many years later he quoted me a Berhinger Patch bay for over $ 100. When I questioned him, he pretended it was a mistake and sold it to me for $ 35. Recently, my church had an issue with a headset mic and we took it for repair. They gave it back, charging about $ 50, saying it had been fixed. It had the same problem when I test it, so I took it and explained the problem. They said that isn’t what they were told the problem was so they had fixed something else on it. Did they not plug it in a test it after working on it? The problem would have shown itself, immediately. They returned our money, that time, after I spoke with the owner. She seemed honest. Since I’ve never had a good experience here, I can’t rate them above one star. Too bad because it is a fun store to shop in.

It’s funny that with five years there is only one review on this store and it is obviously just an advertisement rather than an actual experience. So I get to write the first one now that I’ve figured out this Unilocal thing! I was a good customer for twenty years. Mark Crowley, Tim Grover, those were good guys. Milton took care of all my equipment. I bought traded and sold there while I was professional. I remember the days at clover leaf. Three or four years ago bought a presonus computer music recorder to put CDs tapes vcrs DVDs, whatever on MP3. They sold me one that distorted because it was only designed to record microphones. Adam said they can’t return it because I registered it online. That’s such bs. They sold me the wrong thing and you have to register it to try it. Brought the issue to Tony who was too busy typing something in his computer to help me. I’m explaining him the issue and he rudely tells me to get help from Adam. I’ve still got that thing in the original box if someone wants it. That’s why yarbroughs hasn’t seen me in all these years. Just in case they were wondering. Just in case they cared.

If you’re looking to take some music lessons, Yarbrough’s offers a free first lesson on any of their instruments, as well as private lessons with their highly-trained staff. And they carry a very nice selection. Guitars — acoustic, folk, rock. Keyboards — Korg, Roland, and Yamaha. Drums — Yama Imperialstar, Percussion Plus, Pearl, and junior drum sets. They also carry DJ lighting and other equipment. A good selection of amps, books, and DVDs.
