Interesting cemetery. Noah insisted we go. So we went and walked around and saw gravestones from 2 to 150 years old next to each other. Interesting.

There is nothing like a dusk-time walk through an old cemetery. Really. When the sun begins to set and the shadows begin to grow, there is something very serene about it. My husband and I took a little walk through Evergreen Cemetery. Although he wasn’t very keen on the idea, I insisted.(So walking through cemeteries isn’t everybody thing. *confused shrug*) We looked around at some of the very old tomb stones. Some dating back more than 100 years. Some included entire families. Many were new, as early as 2006. I also found a very sweet little tombstone of a child who had been born and died the same year I was born. I don’t mean to be morbid or shocking or disrespectful. I really do find cemeteries incredibly interesting places. At Evergreen you can get views of the Ocean and historic buildings of old Mendocino. If you ever do visit Mendocino, which everybody should, stop by Evergreen and take a look around. Stories begin to unfold and I’m sure the long time dead appreciate a little interest and company.
