Pleasantly surprised after average pizza elsewhere the day before. Nothing compares to an actual slice of NY pizza, but this hits the spot. Love that they have pizza by the slice, although the selection is limited. Came out piping hot and delicious. Service was a tad slow despite only two people ahead of us in line, but everyone was friendly. Can people watch from the patio, and they have Cowlick ice cream which is great stuff(although their prices are higher and portions smaller than the Fort Bragg location, which is a bit of a bummer). Would definitely come back the next time I’m in town.

The number 4 pizza was tasty — red peppers, mushrooms and onions. The falafel plate was tasty but the falafel was ok but the greens were fresh. Kid scoop of strawberry was yummy but a tad too sweet. Customer service was very friendly and the upstairs is set up nicely with toys and books for kids. Our son loved it!

Birthday treat from Headland’s B&B was coupon for ice cream… I loved the Black Forest ice cream and it was in a gluten-free cone! Wow, wonderful!

Great little pizza shop. Small and cozy and good food. We ordered the basil pesto chicken on gluten free crust and it was the best gluten free crust we’ve tasted this far.

A little bland and doughy, could be because of pineapple but otherwise crispy-ish and needs more salt. These three make it more delicious, I discovered that after my first slice… add salt. I NEVER do that, in fact I don’t like too much salt and this well… needed it. No natural tasting flavors.

Randomly came across this place looking for dessert and so happy we did! They not only have delicious ice cream, but their latte is phenomenal too! And the staff is so friendly! The space is so clean and organized too. Love the adorable tables and how everything is labeled! Definitely a little city gem :)

Walking in to the place they make you feel right at home. Not only is the food fantastic but the service was above par. I would recommend this stop for anyone looking for a cup of coffee, scoop of ice cream or a full meal. A must visit in Mendocino.

We tried their small vegetarian pizza with soup and banana split for dessert and everything was great.

Not your run of the mill pizza joint. Lots of organic and creative ingredients for your gluten free pizza of your choice. Yummy salads too. We all loved the local Cowlick ice cream for dessert… candy cap mushroom ice cream tasted like pancakes with maple syrup and almond joy ice cream was to die for! Great outdoor seating area so you can dine with your dog too(with a big water dish on the deck for thirsty pups!)

I got a free birthday scoop because I was staying at the Headlands Inn and definitely embraced the opportunity for free ice cream. I had the ginger ice cream and was a little scared that the ginger would be overwhelming, but it wasn’t! The ginger pieces were sweet and not too spicy. The service is very friendly! Extra points for playing only Ke$ha during my visit :)

I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with mozzarella cheese for $ 25. A little pricey considering the crust is pretty thin and for me they could’ve added more cheese but overall the pizza was good. My husband and I also got ice cream from here. They have some awesome flavors! I got the raspberry chocolate chip and my husband got the black cherry chocolate chip. There were HUGE pieces of chocolate in it. To me. the ice cream was worth it more than the pizza but there’s not too many pizza options in Mendocino…

We tried this spot out and had a great experience. I had the quinoa and kale cakes with spring greens, it was delicious! Also tried the pizza and ice cream, great local spot for coffee/treat or lunch/dinner, right downtown

Fabulous ice cream spot(and I’m not even that much of a dessert person). Great selection to choose from, extremely friendly staff, and warm interior — you feel at home right away. The woman behind the counter will let you try the various flavors — and everything tastes good! I definitely recommend this place to anyone with a sweet tooth!

I love Frankie’s ! Their homemade ice cream Cowlick is soo good! The location is next to a business called All Legs. Frankie’s has this really nice vibe. Friendly and patient. All down home very Mendocino laid back attitude I find awesome while on vacay. What’s outstanding is their cute setting to match their very creamy delicious offering. You can sit inside or outside. We chose the cute two top right by the exit door in the back for some privacy and romantic feel right by the window. Ok. The ice cream. It’s legit. It’s creamy. It’s loaded with pistachio if they say it is. They offer you three kinds of cones. Sugar, regular and waffle. I opted to enjoy my Almond Joy single scoop on a waffle cone. A scoop is large enough. Their waffle is fresh and crunchy. Cowlick. Cute! All natural. As most everything is in Mendocino. I’m a fan!

A great, laid-back, kid-friendly place exactly where you need it. The food, ice cream, and service is great to boot. Normally, I’d probably give a pizza and ice cream parlor like this four stars, but it’s something that desperately needed in Mendocino and the staff are super friendly which earns it the extra star. In particular, on a Friday or Saturday night in Mendocino there’s pretty much no restaurants that are remotely kid friendly. Everyone is catering to the romantic couples’ getaway, which I understand, but you need some safety valve for those couples’ that actually got on with the dirty acts and procreated. :p My wife got the felafel in a pita and it was the stand out of the meal. Everything about it was just delicious and fresh. That really took me by surprise, but in a great way. I got the one with pine nuts and goat cheese, which did exactly what I was hoping for and had some really nice, pungent flavors without being too greasy or heavy. You should also try the ice cream. It’s made locally and was definitely worth having. The candy cap mushroom ice cream was surprisingly good. Enough so that I got it after tasting it. Very different and you should have it at least once. Cinnamon ice cream is always good, but hard to find, so we got that for the second cone.
