Mendocino Community Network

Just got off the phone with Giro and Rob at Mendocino Community Network. Over the phone they fixed a modem hookup problem we were having with speed, charm and precision. These guys are great!

The first thing to know is that MCN services many areas outside of Mendocino County, including much of Southern California. The second thing to know is that in terms of great service and affordable prices, they are tops. On those rare occasions when you need technical support, it is given by real people who know their stuff and patiently walk you through your problems. Their email service is great, and their spam filtering system is better than any others I have experienced. I also have full confidence that MCN will respect my privacy, which is one reason I prefer to use MCN for email (with an address at
) rather than one of the «free» services provided by the search engine companies. One more thing: MCN is a business owned by the Mendocino School District, so the money it generates goes to support education rather than some wealthy business conglomerate.
