Adventure Mendota

My family wanted to go kayaking. Unfortunately we found this place. The scenery is great, but it is set up for disaster. No guide assists you with your trip. You are put in the river and shoved off. And then told they will see you in a few hours. We were not clear on where we were suppose to stop. Fortunately someone in our group had been before and helped us. The fact that no one from Adventure Mendota went with us, told us they didnt know how to run this business. Putting people in the water unescorted is o.k. if you’re experienced or if you can get help if needed. But you are out there for several hours and there is no way to get help! They don’t even have cell phone service. Nor do they even give someone in the group a walkie talkie. The person who picked us up laughed about it when someone asked if anyone ever needed help what would they do? They even said the oldan was too cheap to buy good walkie talkies. It is a bad set up all the way around. I was a nervous wreck.
