I am not sure what the heck happened. I was just here last week and tonight I walk in and no pool tables and no draft beer. The rating I am giving is solely for the drastic change. NOTFORTHEWAITSTAFF!!! There is no interaction, I get it, maximize dollars by sq footage. Beer Hunter in Menifee is the destination for people in Menifee. That’s what made this place different. If I wanted to just eat and watch TV I would go to BJS or wait for Applebee’s to open. I know you can only make some people happy some of the time and everyone happy none of the time. But WTF. Figure out another way to save money and take care of the locals that make a place like this possible. *****never finished posting this. And you wonder why you closed. Too bad this happened. There are great people that work there and I hope nothing but the best for them.

I’M SOSADTHISPLACEISCLOSED. My husband and I just moved to Menifee and have been looking for a cool pub to hang out at. We came here on Sunday to watch a game and had their amazing asada nachos and salad, with great cocktails. The supervisor told us about their daily specials so we came back for Taco Tuesday. They had a sign on the door that they’re permanently closed!!! How could this happen and why didn’t the supervisor tell us!!! I really hope they are just moving so that we can follow them!

Beer hunter is a small place with a lot of TVs to watch different sports. We went today to watch the Broncos vs Ravens game. It took us about 10 – 15 minutes to find seating at the bar, which is actually really fast. The one complaint I have is that try had a tough time finding the right channels to play the different football games. I was thinking how difficult it is to find the right channel. The customer service was really good. The two bartenders were amazing and constantly asking us if we needed anything. It felt good and I never had to wait for a refill our anything. Then we ordered wings and one downside of the wings is they give you wings and put the sauce on the side. I ordered buffalo wings and expected them to be cooked in buffalo sauce but it was off to the side. Next, we ordered nachos which were good but too salty. The atmosphere is nice and I had a really enjoyable time. I recommend getting there early when there are sport games going on.

I used to live down the street from the beer hunter in La Quinta and went there a few times. Never was too impressed with the food, but the beer and tvs made it worth while. I’m not sure if this place is owned by the same people but it seems the same. I went here for the fist time on 9÷5÷2015. I usually go to watch USC football, have some drinks and food. This place is set up like a traditional restaurant, but they do have a ton of tvs. If your like me and going to primarily watch a game you’ll love this place. I’m not sure how many beers they had on tap, but they had a good list. They had local, traditional, and unique beers on their list. That made the place very enjoyable. Prices for a pint of beer were actually really decent and are probably one of the reasons I will go back. The reason for my 3 star rating is because of the food and service. Honestly both are good, but could be much better. When I went in with my wife we looked over the food items and were kind of shocked at the prices on the menu. Also they seem to have more higher end stuff for a sports bar and I wasn’t craving any of it. We ended up getting some appetizers and drinks while we watched the game. The food we did get was really good, just seemed a little over priced for the quality. I’d absolutely love this place if they added some simpler sports bar type menu items to their regular menu. We didn’t order any entrees because I did not want to pay $ 15 for a burger. The service is decent, but every time I go I feel like the wait staff doesn’t want to be working there. I do usually go during some sporting event and there are groups of people there watching it. I’m not sure if the servers are mad because people are sitting there watching a game and not ordering a lot(less tips) or there are other issues, but I’ve never been impressed with the service. If you want somewhere to go to watch the PAC12 and have some drinks this is the place to go. If you want dinner, I’d go somewhere else.

I have heard a lot about this place and I am so glad I finally tried it. I’ve been a few times now. Its an awesome place during the week or weekend. Great choices of beer and unique food. All the salads are excellent. Service is a 10.

I’m in the middle of my meal, I thought to myself, this is so good I must let other people know if this place. Beer hunter is indeed a sports bar. There are tvs in every direction. However, I’m not a fanatic of sports; I am a fanatic if food. This place has produced two fantastic dishes that I have rapidly become ecstatic about; the sloppy fries and the beer hunter burger. I won’t write an essay here today, but I will say the food is worth writting an essay about. It is fantastically delicious. If you’re in the area, pop in during happy hour for the discount or anytime. It’s worth it.

I went there right when they opened and it was great. I met one of the owners and he was really nice. The food was great, too. I went back a second time and the food was bland and the same chicken dish was gross. It was overcooked. The manager didn’t charge me for the food when I asked what happened to the food. He said they had a new cook. Okay, so I went back a few months later for a third time. The same dish I was hoping would be better was just as disgusting. Marie Calendar’s t.v. dinner was way better, seriously. The drinks were pretty decent, but if I’m going out to eat, I want great food or I’ll just stay home and make something. If you only want drinks, you might want to check it out. The service staff has always been nice, but again, it’s all about the food if I’m going out to eat. I’m really, really allergic to smoke, and we went to hang outside cause it was hot inside and there were too many people smoking for me(and my horrible sinus issue I’ve always had). It’s too bad there isn’t a smoke-free outdoor area for those of us who don’t want to eat and drink around smoke. Sorry to say, I’m not sure I’d go there a fourth time and spend money on bad food. Hire professional cooks with a lot of experience. If you hire someone to make an Italian dish, maybe they should have experience in Italian cuisine – just a thought!

Beer Hunter is fantastic! Great food, great service! The desserts are stellar. A unique restaurant with some epic choices. My only complaint is that they state there are 36 beers on tap, when it’s most likely more like 12 – 18.

Always wanted to try the location in La Quinta but never had a chance. Then I discovered this location. Its in a strip mall so you have to compete for parking. Watch out for aggressive Soccer Moms zooming in and out of parking spaces. I brought my whole family, and we were promptly seated at a booth. Immediately busted out the crayons and worksheets for the kiddos. Came with the booster seats mighty quick. The little ones made it clear that they wanted Pizza, and they eat slow, so we ordered it with our drinks. Pepperoni Pizza was $ 13.50, but was only 12″ inches. Kinda pricey for a dinky Pizza. I tried a bite, it was just OK. The kids are less discriminatory and ate it up. My oldest Son and I ordered Iced Tea, which was good. Wifey got Strawberry Lemonade like she always does. She said it was alright. As soon as it hit Happy Hour, I ordered a pint of Ballast Point Sculpin for $ 5, and as we all know that beer is delicious. Also got a «Cream» Ale which tasted like Cream Soda that was surprisingly very good. We ordered $ 3 appetizers as well. The endless Chips and Salsa were good. Chips were standard, but the Salsa was good. Nothing too special, just good. Not even a little spicy. We got the Sloppy Fries, which were amazing! The bacon and onions were great. Eat them fast, before the cheesesauce starts to gel. Tried Fried Pickles for the first time. They were pretty good, the sauce really helps. Less Dill flavor than I expected. Now that Ive tried them, I can get on with my life. The Street Tacos I had here for Taco Tuesday were alright. The Shrimp Tacos were very good! Use the Lemon. The Carne Asada was pretty good. They leave some of the fat on the meat to flavor it, which I like. Since the meat is chopped well, eat them fast before the meat gets cold. The Chicken Tacos were good as well, not big on flavor, but at least they weren’t dry. The Carnitas were just OK. Dry and flavorless, but I ate them. My Wife had her usual Club Sandwich. Big but nothing special. She ate half of it, and liked it enough to take the rest with her. The décor is cool, the TVs on ESPN were cool, and the bathrooms were clean and well lit. Service was friendly and attentive. I will be back, but with my Brothers for a Padre game and some beer, NOT with the kids.

Went here today at 11am. I’ve been to restaurants when they first open and normally the staff just stands in the corner and just talks and ignores you. NOT here! Was greeted by our waitress named Dana at the door, she let us pick our seats and helped us with the menu right away. Not only was she super knowledgable about all the beers and the food selections but she was so much fun!!! The food came out so fast I was shocked. A specially considering we were there the moment the place opened. I got a Cajun shrimp sandwich thing an it was so delish and huge I couldn’t even finish the whole thing. The fries were perfection! I also had a peach alcoholic bev and it was just a just as good. The service stayed on point the entire time! Dana was so great! Normally I dread the waitress doing their rounds but Dana was not like that at all!!! I will be back and I will be calling ahead to make sure Dana is our server

Today I came in for a beer after a bad day. At one point I started to tear up because my day was just ridiculous, sometimes you can’t help it! Anyways, my server brought over some napkins so I could wipe my tears and asked if I was alright and if I wanted someone to talk to. I accepted and she have me some really good advice. Beer was amazing, cold, and came out fast. Love this place. The sloppy fries are my favorite, and at $ 3 for a huge portion during happy hour? Yes please.

We love sloppy fries! Great craft beer selection! Day bartender is the best! He is always Very personable with us and fast service! 4* only because the last 2 times our sloppy was slightly cold and the portion size seemed to change BUT, we still love the environment and enjoy our time there

Wanting to have some beers with friends we decided to give Beer Hunter a visit. Upon entering it was a friendly atmosphere Beth and the other people that were working at the bar were accomadating and got our beers. Beer Hunter is a good name as there is alot of «beer» some tap and lots of bottles! Draft beers were better than bottled as is usual. I also ordered some food to go and enjoyed the ribs and cheese sticks however the burger I wasn’t too fond of as it was mushy. Overall I recommend coming to hang out here for international and US beer and bar snacks, friendly service and/or watching the«big game» as there are plenty of tv’s in the facility!

Came in with my girlfriend because we wanted to try something different. The placed seemed really nice and we were seated quickly. Our server came and she was really friendly, I saw on the menu that they had my favorite beer in bottle so I asked for a strawberry blonde from Belmont brewing company, but they were out. I asked for a water so I could choose another beer. The server came back with my girlfriends drink and I asked for a banana nut beer, and again they were out. At this point I just asked to have what my girlfriend ordered, I was disappointed that a place called beer hunter was out of the first two choices I asked for. We ended up ordering the ahi salad and chicken pesto. The salad was good but the tuna sucked but the sandwich was really good. We weren’t completely dissatisfied with the visit but by any means weren’t impressed. The food is decent but people go for the beer, and they didn’t have the beers I wanted. I might go back, not sure.

I can only speak for my experiences a few years ago. I haven’t been back since. The 3 or 4 times I ate here, I left feeling nauseated. The food was cheap. Cheap as in cheap for them. The bonus about this place… During the summer months, it smells like sewer and wet dumpsters outside. The only upside to this place is all the TVs…

When my fiancée and I have come here just the two of us, the service is good and the food is ok. I’m not very impressed by their cocktails, they aren’t made well and are far to sugary. When we are with a group however, a group of five or six servers who are completely patient and understanding because we understand how difficult the job can be, we have had a horrible horrible time on three separate occasions. One of the worst was when we had to wait half an hour for drinks, most of which were beer, and when we look around we see it isn’t busy at all and our server is hanging out with a group of friends at the pool tables. When we finally got some drinks it was only half the tables order and we waited again for the rest. When I had to request some creamer for an Irish coffee that was just way too bitter I waited about twenty minutes before my fiancée got fed up and went searching for the server just to find him texting in the corner. We stuck through it, ordered appetizers that again took way too long to come out and at the end of it for the first time I left less than a 30% tip. I honestly left two dollars for my one Irish coffee that remained untouched because how bad it was and how cold it was by the time I got the creamer. My fiancée and I haven’t been back in almost a year because of so many bad experiences. I’m giving a two star review because no one was ever rude to us and as I said before when it was only the two of us we had a decent time.

Not my cup of tea… er not my mug of beer. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered all appetizers, the poke, the sampler, and mozzarella sticks. If I ever find myself back here I don’t think I’d order any of those again. I am interested in returning to try the entrée dishes everyone speaks so highly of. The beer selection though plentiful was lacking. There were a number of beers they just didn’t have in stock. Which is disappointing coming from somewhere named BEER hunter. The few beers we did have were good though. Don’t bother trying to redeem the Unilocal check in offer, it’s expired and they did not honor it.

So I have been here a few times and never really left a review. I am not sure why but here goes. Lets start off by the service. Normally people here are nice and friendly. I don’t think I ever had a problem with that. So I have order the Mac N Cheese with the bartenders recommendation. I thought really Mac N Cheese should be bad. WOW as I wrong! Its a must have. Great flavor and great taste. I have also had the Fish & Chips and yes another hit. I must say there is one beer that is great«Horny Devil» a must try for 10% beer. Taste Great! Just a nice place to have a beer and some great tasting food. Thanks guys!

I was so worried this place was going to go out of business after BJs came in and Texas Roadhouse. I always prefer small business to chains or big corporations. But I’ve been in twice recently and glad to see this place is still going strong. Our family has a tradition to come here for our birthdays because we love the big Mac Brownie you get free on your birthday! Photo is included. We came in tonight for my hubbies birthday and we were served by Vince. He was a good server, very laid back no pressure. The food was delicious I am vegan so I ordered the summer salad with no meat. It’s delicious, a bed of leafy greens with cherry tomatoes, pecans and strawberries with poppyseed sauce. My husband had the Cajun pasta with chicken and my son had the Cajun chicken sandwich. I also ordered a Belgian Beer. Everything was served to perfection. The beer was good and cold. The sports channels were on and there was a lively crowd. After dinner the waiter brought out the dessert a big Mac brownie for my hubby, it was literally the icing on the cake. I didn’t have any but my son and my hubby polished it off! They have a huge selection of beers! Thank you Beer Hunter for keeping Menifee real. This patron is not a big fan of the local chains popping up as much as small business! We’ll be back.
