This store is way worth going out of my way to San Mateo! I just got my racket restrung, and they are absolutely affordable. The lady that helped me, Carmen, was extremely knowledgable about tensions and badminton rackets and she was super nice! I definitely will be coming back whenever I need to restring my racket and buy badminton equipment ^_​_​^ everyone should come here for all their racket sports needs! You won’t be disappointed :-)

We noticed this shop when we were in the area for lunch. We like to play badminton in our back yard and needed some more birdies so we decided to drop in and take a look.
There’s actually a lot more different types of shuttlecocks than I realised but the girl at the counter was really helpful and let us know the right kind for our play style. She seems to know a lot about the sport and the equipment so you should definitely talk with her whether you’re a consistent player or a beginner.
Restringing rackets is also cheaper here than most other places I’ve looked up so we’re definitely gonna come here when we need that done.

I ordered a racket online, but had forgotten to use a discount code I had. So I emailed them asking if they could do something about it, and the manager Carmen promptly replied saying she will add it to the order (even though I had already placed the order for the original price).
I ordered it on a Sunday night and the racket, with it’s replacement strings, was ready by Monday morning itself! While picking it up, Carmen was there at the store. She was super nice and knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

New shop, girl at the counter seems really knowledgable about her products, re-​stringing labor is $ 12. Saw lots of different rackets but was just browsing: P Would probably come back here to get a good racket for friends/​family.

Found this new business on Unilocal at the perfect time when I needed to restring my racket. Walked in and was greeted by the staff immediately. The staff name Carmen was very helpful with recommending which string and tension fit me best. Left the racket with her while I met up a friend for lunch, after I went back the racket was all ready for me to pick up. Thumbs up for the quick service! Will definitely come back again!

I know this is a brand new badminton store and wasn’t sure if i should go in or not. but im i glad idid.
i dont know much about badminton but after speaking with Carmen i understand a lot more about badminton. she knew what she was talking about and gave me very good advices as a beginner.
it doesn’t matter if you are beginner or pro, i feel that carmen can guide you to what you need.
prices are very reasonable, Easy parking and its by dt san mateo!

Needed to get two rackets restrung and found Badass Direct here on Unilocal.Gave them a call and Carmen said they’d be able to string both the same day! This was great because I didn’t want to ship my racket out to be restrung. When I arrived, I was greeted and we got down to business, she asked what my style of play was and advised what kind of setup would best suite me. I was very impressed with the quality work! I would recommend this place to anyone who needs badminton supplies and repairs! Keep up the great work Carmen! You’ve got a customer for life!

After stuffing my face at Ramen Dojo, I needed to walk off my food coma… and I stumbled across a new badminton pro shop. The storefront is clean and modern with a wide selection of Yonex, Li-​Ning, etc and at a good price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Def coming here for my badminton gear needs.
