I am the Office & Events manager for my company, and therefore in charge of all of our luncheons and catered events. For one of our larger celebrations, I thought it would be fun to do something other than our normal cupcakes — and turned to Unilocal for help. As soon as I read the descriptions of the items and saw the pictures and reviews I knew I had to get Butterscotch On The Go. Kathleen was a PLEASURE to work with. Not only did she make ordering and coordination easy, she was extremely friendly and personable. She came more than early and set up all of the items meticulously. Every single item was incredible. Yes… I tried everything. It is part of my job to make sure what I ordered is good right? Right. We’ll go with that. I did it for the company. Yes, that’s it. Anyways I absolutely LOVED everything about this place and so did my team of 160 people. I heard nothing but rave reviews from all the employees. She definitely has my business!

Butterscotch On The Go was started by Kathleen Jensen several years ago and it began as a dessert food truck. Kathleen was a private chef for over a decade and decided to venture out on her own. She sold the food truck a few years ago so she could instead focus on catering, special events and wholesale goods. I was first introduced to this place a couple years ago when she had a permanent counter set-up in the Willows Market. When I saw that she was selling butterscotch pudding I was quite intrigued and knew I had to give it a try. The pudding here is clearly the star, it’s the most popular item and her biggest seller but she offers a variety of other desserts as well. Some of those desserts are Orange Olive Oil Cake, Butterscotch Blondies, Brownies and Raspberry Cheesecake Brownies. The butterscotch pudding is so decadent, has just the right consistancy(not thin and watery and not too thick), very creamy and has a nice and smooth butterscotch flavor. You can get the pudding plain but why would you do that when you can get it topped off with fresh made whipped cream and smoked almond brittle. These two toppings really take the pudding to whole different level of deliciousness. I have never had pudding quite like this and I could eat this almost everyday and I’m not a pudding person. The butterscotch blondies are to die for as well, being a fan of normal blondies I knew these would be tasty. The butterscotch frosting and morsels add that extra sweetness and yumminess. While Butterscotch On The Go is no longer a «permanent» fixture at the Willows Market you can find her«pop-up» dessert counter at the Willows Market Food Truck Night on most Monday evenings. It is definitely worth a try and you will be happy you came.

My boyfriend’s personal shopper was RAVING about Butterscotch on the Go, and how the pudding is the best thing ever on this planet. We finally went to the Monday Night food truck when Butterscotch on the Go was there, and we each got a pudding to eat at home. It definitely lived up to the expectations! It had this good texture, and was not too thick, or too thin. The home made whip cream mixed with bites of the pudding was the perfect combination. I recommend having the almond roca crumbles on the side because it takes away from the pudding. Or– if you like to mix it, I would chop/crumble the almond roca into smaller pieces. I was told to try the brownie as well — but have yet the chance to get it. I also recommend going by 7pm to the truck, otherwise the items WILL sell out! She is cash only, so be aware! Luckily, you can always get cash back at the market.

The butterscotch pudding is heaven in a plastic to go cup with almonds enrobed in chocolate atop fresh whipped cream. I was first introduced to this when they had their food truck roaming around. When I’m in the area, I try to stop into Willows Market to grab one… or two! I am also a fan of their chocolate pot de crème!

I appreciate that they are available for desserts every Monday at The Willow’s Market Food Truck Night, and that they accept credit card. It was also a nice change of pace in desserts for me, a puddin’. However, I think the butterscotch pudding was just too simple and basic for me. It’s just some butterscotch pudding with whipped cream and almond toffee on top. It was nice, but it didn’t really excite my taste buds. I ate it because I had it. I think that the 3 elements involved(butterscotch, toffee & whipped cream), were all tasty enough, but they didn’t combine to make it an even better experience. They were just thrown together. At the price, and the reviews, I was definitely expecting way more.

Make sure you have the Butterscotch pudding, whipped cream, and toffee all in one bite. This stuff is seriously deathly — will get you so fat and obese and you can’t help yourself that you have more and more. It’s so flippin good. I am picky about my toffee and the toffee in this cup of goodness really hits the spot with its crunch and level of sweetness. You can get this Mondays at the Willow Market when Food Trucks come to town. I saw other goodies but had to slap my wrists and walk away. Salted caramel brownie? Someone help me, please!

I tried this truck and the infamous butterscotch pudding topped with toffee almond brittle was practically the only thing I remember from that one time I ordered it. The sandwich was alright the first time I had it, I remember it being really messy to eat for some reason. The popular Chicken Pan Bagnat(Grilled chicken, herbed vinaigrette, fontina, roasted red pepper, cucumber, capers and arugula on a baguette). I sandwich is really a lot simpler than it seems to be on paper and would not stand out as a 5 star sandwich by itself. The balance between all the ingredients just seemed off and the chicken was not very flavorful either. To be clear, it’s not the worst I’ve had. Back to the butterscotch pudding though! So damn rich, it was almost too much for me to muster up and finish during lunch hour. It’s so damn delicious for like the first half of it. I think I ate like 2⁄3 of it from what I remember and threw the rest away. If you know me, I don’t like eating things that are overly sweet. One of my co-workers totally agreed with me on the pudding though, which was re-assuring. By and large though, they have a good truck here. I believe they need more menu options besides the sandwiches and salads.

This is probably my favorite truck so far. Their butterscotch pudding is amazing! Thank goodness I shared because they give you a pretty good portion! Every crunch in that dessert had me cravin more and more! I know sharing is caring… but now that I know how good it is, I may hog one all to myself! I cant remember what sandwich I got but it had a crunchy bread and the sauce it comes with is what made the sandwich stand out compared to other shops. Butterscotch on the Go, come visit us soon!

Oh swow! This awesome food truck came by our office the other day ago. I had already eaten, but I craved something sweet, so I asked my co-worker if she wanted to share the Butterscotch pudding w/toffee almond brittle. We split it in half and all I can say is, life changing. Incredibly silky and smooth and the almond toffee was perfect. It complimented the sweet butterscotch in a way that cannot be expressed in words. If you want the most amazing pudding you have ever had you should get this. Without a doubt, you will never taste something this good from a food truck in your life. The people on the truck were friendly and quick with our order. 5 stars! Great prices, great food, great people. The whole package.

Upon initiation to BOTG(Butterscotch On The Go), I was a little«iffy» about what to expect from a dessert establishment. They visitted us at Pillsbury in Palo Alto(a.k.a. The Curbside Café). Well let me start by saying first, «Mmmmm, Mmmmmm, and MMMMMMMMMMM»! From the gate I wanted to try everything. But I didn’t want the people standing in line behind me thinking that I was greedier than I really am… and that’s pretty darn greedy. LOL!!! So, I ordered a(Warm) Pastrami with Swiss and caramelized onions. This sandwich was very unique. It had a spicy wasabi mustard on it that singed my sinuses and had me crying like a Big Olé Baby. But I couldn’t put it down. Now mind you, I AM a certified«Heat Woose». I cannot do hot & spicy. But Damn, GINA! This was something to suffer for… with each and every bite… two thumbs up on the sandwich. Then I got the Entrée Harvest Salad with sliced turkey, walnuts, smoked Gouda, cranberries and sliced oranges with balsamic vinaigrette. The combination of all of the different flavors made my toes curl. Loved It! Loved It! Loved It! THENLASTBUTNOTLEAST… For dessert, I had to try the signature Butterscotch pudding. Now prior to BOTG’s arrival, I read Many O’ Reviews about there Butterscotch Pudding a.k.a. Crack-in-a-cup a.k.a. Concentrated Ecstasy with Whipped Cream On Top, etc. But naturally, being the«Expert Food-oisseur» that I am, I had to be fair and draw an honest personal opinion for my fans to use as valid reference. And with that being said, One bite of this(«No word on earth can describe what I experienced in my mouth»)! All fore-mentioned aliases were clearly UNDER-STATEMENTS…borderline, disrespectful to the ART! Let’s put it like this… I took 4 bites of my Pastrami sandwich, 6 bites of my salad and didn’t go back to either one after the FIRST bite of the«Intoxicating and blissful burst of pure euphoria and ecstasy made in a paradise of enchanted heavens» a.k.a. BUTTERSCOTCHPUDDING. 5-STARS!!! P. S. Then an hour later… my good friend and Sistah Bobbi came by and gave me ½ of her Butterscotch brownie w/salted caramel icing. Now let me tell you this… it was so rich and moist. That you could take ONEBITEPERHOUR and the flavor would never leave your taste-buds. It clung on to my tongue for dear life.(Smacking my lips) In fact, I think I can still taste it and it’s been an hour and a half already. BRAVO, BUTTERSCOTCHONTHEGO!!! B-R-A-V-O! Four big words can sum up my numerous visits and tastings from the Butterscotch On The Go truck: BESTBUTTERSCOTCHPUDDINGEVER!!! My friends have ranted and raved about the butterscotch pudding for the past year. I finally visited the truck a few months ago. I have been hunting down the truck, stalking the truck and buying large quantities of the butterscotch pudding since my first taste. The pudding is fantastic! I love the whip cream and almond toffee too. I even buy extra toffee when I order my six cups of butterscotch… mmmmm… pudding and toffee! I love this stuff… and I want more! Now you go stalk the truck and find out for yourself how good Butterscotch On The Go really is.

Follow them on Facebook or Twitter to find out where they will be. I went to Cabrillo Middle School on Fri 11÷4÷11 to try their Butterscotch. Butterscotch pudding w/smoked almond toffee brittle & whipped cream $ 4 — I asked for no whipped cream & so I got the butterscotch in a small plastic cup w/a bunch of toffee brittle on top. It’s really sweet, creamy, & crunchy. I thought it was ok. Other things on their menu I didn’t try: Triple vanilla pound cake w/strawberry sauce & vanilla bean cream $ 4 Butterscotch brownies w/salted caramel icing $ 2 Butterscotch sugar cookies $ 1.50 Cash Only, ate in the car, & then went out for dinner.

I like the idea of dessert trucks, my favorite meal of the day! Ordered the butterscotch pudding, it was good, a pretty small portion for the price though. There was no line when I was ordering. Service was friendly.

There are two food trucks I stalk and both of them happen to be dessert trucks(Hmm… I wonder why?) To say that I love Butterscotch on the Go would be HUGE understatement! If I could, I would marry this truck, but I don’t wanna have to shell out all that money for a ring, so I’ll just stalk them instead. Besides having great food, the service is fast and friendly. They always have a line, but it moves really quickly. It never seems rushed and they take the time to answer your questions about all their items. It goes without saying that their butterscotch is heaven on earth. It’s not overly or cloyingly sweet. The consistency is perfect, not too thick or thin. If all that perfection wasn’t enough, they top it off with fresh whipped cream and the BEST chocolate toffee in the world. Besides the butterscotch itself, their other offerings are just as divine. Their butterscotch and oatmeal cookies are on point. Triple Vanilla Poundcake with strawberries and cream are the perfect balance of cake and fruit. And their chocolate pot de crème is foodgasm inducing! I don’t think I need to say more. Now I need a cigarette and a moment alone.

Deliciousssssssss!!! Caught these guys at Edgewood Eats for the butterscotch pudding, but I’ve had their vanilla pound cake with whipped cream before at work which was SO moist and yum. Highly recommended. The pièce de résistance butterscotch pudding is excellent. I don’t think I could finish a whole cup by myself because I’d make myself sick, but it’s definitely worth sharing with a friend. It’s not too sweet, has a great consistency and goes really well with the almond brittle and whipped cream. I will say the almond brittle added a nice crunch and nuttyness to the pudding, but there was too much of it and it was a little too sweet. Next time I need to try the cookie…

Tried their butterscotch pudding and butterscotch cookie at the Unilocal event tonight. Holy smokes, that is some TASTY pudding! The cookie was delish, but the pudding was incredible. If the owner gal wasn’t so friendly, I’d have tried to take the big vat of pudding home with me… ;) (I’m going 4 stars for now because I tried a free portion at a Unilocal event and can’t judge the sizing/pricing if I found this truck at a local event yet)

They’ve got one of the smartest food truck strategies out there. Let others concentrate on the savory items and wipe up as everyone craves dessert after a hearty meal. The butterscotch pudding is definitely the to get item and is the perfect size for sharing or even to take home to loved ones. They sell some other dessert and drink items but everyone gets the pudding. Butterscotch On The Go is cash only.

I must confess. I never thought I’d really like Butterscotch pudding. But, I wanted to change things up and was willing to give them a try. I’m so happy that I did! The butterscotch pudding topped with toffee almond brittle was excellent. Not overly sweet at all, texture of the pudding was creamy. Good balance between the pudding, cream and brittle. The size is perfect for sharing and portion size is well more tan enough. They’ve officially won me over. I’m a fan of butterscotch pudding. so long as I get it from here.

I had Butterscotch On The Go on my battle plan when entering the first San Mateo Moveable Feast. And lucky for my sister and I, they had a short line! I can’t really dive too much into this review since all we had was their Butterscotch Pudding($ 4), but I must say, that was some pretty good Butterscotch Pudding! Very smooth and creamy and not overly sweet. And it came topped with Whipped Cream and Smoked Chocolate Toffee Almond Brittle which took the sweetness to another level. I thought that it might have made it a little too sweet though for me. I still managed to finish the Pudding though with my sister’s help. It was amazing! What also looked amazing was their Brownie dessert as well, though we didn’t get to try it. And I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have anything else to offer from their full menu posted on their website but usually those are prepared for catering. Good stuff with their namesake product though. They’ve got a new fan!
