I’ve finally found the perfect hair stylist on the peninsula! I will be referring her to all my friends! I have very fine, think hair and a lot of hair dressers have complained my hair is so hard to work with! Not Carolyn! She colored, cut and styled it perfectly! I’m just bummed I didn’t find her sooner!!! :)

Carolyn has been doing my hair for the last 3 years, and she is the best! Very thorough, patient, and she actually listens to what I am saying and puts in every effort to make my hair look exactly how I want it to look!
I have thick, wavy hair, and it can often be unruly, but I am very comfortable in Carolyn’s capable hands !
Next month, I am trying out her Keratin treatment, and I can’t wait to see the result!

Yes! Found my new stylist. I moved here a couple of years ago and hair hopped. But now I’ve found my spot. Carolyn does my highlights and cut, and I love it every time. She listens and asks questions to be sure I get exactly what I’m looking for. Love, Love, Love… and can we talk about the scalp massage? Yes please!

It felt a little like one of those «Pretty Woman» moments. I walked into Expressions Salon with an out of control Jewfro — I’d put in no product to control my frizz that morning after washing my mop. The guy at the front desk took one look at me and directed me to the back of the salon, the section where Carolyn McSweeney and two other stylists specialize in curly, wavy, or frizzy hair like mine, though Carolyn works with straight hair as well.
I had to giggle at the blatant Hair Profiling. I’d seen Carolyn’s partners before, but not Carolyn. She is a delight and knows exactly what she’s doing. She offered me tea and had me change into a smock. Soon I went from a crazy frizzy mess to glossy and straight blow out, at least until I washed it again. That was fun!
She has the personality of a BFF, so I found myself pouring my heart out to her. She offered a sympathetic ear and nonjudgmental manner, which is nice if you’re going through a rough patch. I found myself thinking she’s better than some therapists, and not nearly as pricy. Anyway, I highly recommend her for your hair needs, whether it’s a cut, blow out, or the Keratin straightening (which I’m thinking of trying).
You will look and feel better. When I walked to the front of the salon with my straight hair, I wanted to find the guy who’d Hair Profiled me, give him a bit of Julia Roberts attitude, toss my hair, and see if he even recognized me. I bet he wouldn’t have.

I was refered to Carolyn for a Keratin Smoothing Treatment. I have semi-​straight hair but hate the puffiness. She did a great job of not making it stick straight, just smooth without so much fullness.
She did a great job, really nice comfotable salon, I’d definatley go back for another when this one wears off.
