I came to this place today I had some tacos they were good! But when I placed my order I asked for a coffee and i paid for it, later the lady said«we don’t have coffee anymore, and where not making anymore just for you». I was so f****** mad!!! If you have something on the menu you always have to have IT!!!

We’ve tried almost all the little joints in this neighborhood and there are plenty that are fantastic(for food, we’re not talking ambiance here). El Jarachito is certainly one of the fantastic ones. The meat is flavorful and never dried out like at some places(from sitting all day), as they cook it all up as you wait. The burritos are awesome — the super are not the bogged down with cheese and sour cream kind, but lighter with the right amount of extras while not being overbearing. The sopes are perfect, the tacos are the right authentic showcase of meat on hand-made corn tortillas with onion and cilantro. The people are super friendly and while the place is not a beauty, it really doesn’t matter. The food is great and inexpensive.

Another great hole in the wall place in the Redwood City sprawl of good Mexican taquerias. The selection isn’t large in items per se but they do have about eight different meats to choose from. I went for the cabeza, lengua, carnitas, tripas, and asada tacos while my co-worker went for the pollo, al pastor, asada, and carintas. So save for the chorizo, we covered 7⁄8 possibilities. It was agreed across the board that all of the meats were consistently, deeply, flavorful. For $ 1.15 a taco it’s pretty cheap, save for some of the strict $ 1 places. They originally charged me a little too much, which I didn’t even catch, but the lady came out and told me so after a few minutes. So great friendly and honest service to boot. I was actually surprised that there was a decent amount of non Mexican patrons who came through(besides) us but there were a number of neighborhood types coming through. Some of the best tacos in the area that is full of them.
