Marianne Ault-Riche

My son and I saw Marianne for 6 sessions the summer prior to his junior year in high school. Marianne helped bring about a significant and long-​lasting improvement in my son’s attitude toward school work.
Marianne is great with teens. My son had high goals, but his behavior did not accord with those goals. Marianne is no nonsense — she got to the heart of the problem in the first couple of sessions and helped my son see that his choices would have long term consequences. He is now an ivy league graduate, happily employed in his dream job.

I can’t believe what I read by Natasha D. How lopsided… 2012, was a horrific time for me emotionally and physically… My husband was diagnosed with bipolar and we knew he had sever anger management problem… And a classic type «A» personality. Our marriage was broken to the point that I attempted suiside. We were referred to Marriane by Dr. Kerry Mitchell in Menlo Park… I thought it’d be impossible to take my husband to therapy nevertheless a woman therapist… Sure enough with the first meeting my husband bowed to Marianne and showed such respect I couldn’t believe… All credit to Marriane with such strong personality and depth of knowledge could get control of my husband’s strong personality and anger! This is the 7^th month we are going to Marianne and can’t be more pleased. I am also a fan of Harriet Lerner who wrote «The dance of anger» and the praise and credit Ms. Lerner has for Marriane is incredible… Is Marriane full of herself!!! Why shouldn’t she???

My family (2 adults, 2 kids 8 – 10) have been going to Marianne for years to help resolve general parenting, disciplinary and mood issues. She is extremely insightful, cuts to the chase, and has a huge amount of experience under her belt to be able to suggest good solutions to sticky situations. She is very good with both adults and kids and knows how to speak to kids in a way that makes sense to them, and interpret what they say back to us. I’ve never worked with a better therapist in my life. HIGHLY recommended. You won’t go wrong with her.

Not a «rich client» here, either and I can’t recommend Marianne highly enough. We were referred by Dr. George Reed and she got us from a «crisis management» stage to «maintenence» phase with her thorough and instructive approach. She can easily navigate some strong emotions and steer us to the heart of the matter, which we then spend time on. This has been the most important money I’ve spent on my family!

We were referred by Dr. Dale Jacknow and I have to say my experience with Marianne Ault-​Riche was the polar opposite of Ms. Natasha D’s! I found Marianne to be extremely astute, skilled at getting to the heart of the matter, and able to see through what’s on the surface and spot what’s really going on in the relationship. She was caring and loving with our children and gained their trust in record speed. If they’re having problems with either one of us, they will actually ASK for a family therapy appointment — what kid does THAT? If Marianne has an «agenda» it must be the same as mine, because I was never able to detect any. For the record, we are FAR from being «rich clients» and she has been extremely sensitive and accommodating of this. I feel I must add that our case is unique and tricky, since we have a family affected by bipolar disorder. I found her extremely professional and she has worked WONDERS for our family!
