Great store, really nice people and just what I wanted in a building materials store. I wish all companies carried these types of building materials, but more importantly, I wish they all treated you this well. If they don’t have something, they try and find it for you, fast. They are great and will have my business for a long time. The showroom is also really nice and will be a great place to send my clients to help them choose materials that won’t pollute their homes and are easy on the environment.

This is a really cute semi-new eco-friendly store in downtown Menlo Park. While I probably won’t have any need for their reclaimed wood flooring or countertop products(as I don’t have any remodelling projects on the horizon) they do have a decent(albeit small) selection of «green gifts» that I would go back and buy as presents.

Reclaim has been a wonderful resource for us while we went through a remodel. Bridget and her staff are very knowledgeable about the products they carry and are extremely patient. They are one of the few stores who carry Yolo and mix it themselves, as well as many, many other eco-friendly, sustainable and beautiful products. I would highly recommend stopping in and seeing what they have.

Oh my god the reclaimed floors are almost worth the initial cutting down of the tree. Okay tree-huggers I am kidding, but they really are that great. The front floor was a reclaimed barn. It is pricey, but it is an oh so pretty green guilt tax; whereas, the carbon credit think only shows up on your credit card(less money for pretty). If you want a Stainless Steel Water bottle with some style this is the place to go. Personally I like sucking down my estrogenic spring water after I had three cups of fair trade coffee in my BPA nalgene. If your from Canada or overly paranoid then this is the place to suck down metal water. Good gift for all the eco-warriors out there, weapon and drinking in one delightful package. Oh yeah and if you think your paint is killing you, or your wallpaper, then Reclaim will save you. Personally I am with Charlotte Perkins Gilman, and the only think killing me in my wallpaper are those forgotten hopes and dreams.

Eco stores are far and few between so I was happy to see this showroom pop up in downtown Menlo Park. The store is in a beautiful, lofty space and really demonstrates what a healthy, environmentally-friendly place can be like. Reclaim is one of the few stores in the bay area that sells Yolo Colorhouse(one of my favorite brands of zero-VOC paint). If you’re looking for artist-inspired colors, be sure to pick up some large format paint samples to test out in your home. There’s also a nice selection of high-end nursery furniture and some kitchen cabinet and recycled countertop options. The remainder of products offered is a bit sparse, however hopefully that’s just a symptom of the store being relatively new.
