I ordered sandwiches and chips for a group of 35 and knowing I couldn’t be there when it arrived. The manager(I think his name was Tara?) was great and very helpful figuring out and customizing options. Food was delivered right on time(despite a credit card issue on my part) and there was plenty even for some unexpected people. I’d do this again. Quick and reasonably priced solution for large groups. I looked at using Buca or others and this was much more reasonable and gives lots of variety.

Perfect for what we needed: a quick dinner for 16 high school water polo players after practice(pickup time was 5:30pm on a Friday). I ordered several of their sandwich platters and everyone was very happy with the food! One of the employees was still making the sandwiches when I arrived at 5:20 — so they were all very fresh. The condiments(mayo/mustard) were served in packets on the side, so the bread didn’t get soggy. We will likely be ordering more sandwich platters from Subway for the team!

I checked Unilocal to find the closest Subway since we had a bogo coupon. I saw the reviews were pretty bad but figured how bad could it be… Well…we went in about 5:30 in the afternoon the tables looked like they hadnt been cleaned off since lunch time. When we got to the counter the girl working there looked less than excited to have to actually do her job. So after we got our sandwiches and cleaned off our own table so we could sit and eat i noticed the garbage was over flowing as was the recycling bin on the floor. I dont expect much from a Subway but I do expect to be able to sit at a clean table. Oh well at least my sandwich was free.

said its hours for tonight(Thursday) was to close at 10pm. I showed up at 9:50pm, OPEN sign off and door locked. Other reviews suggest this is common for this branch. I’m attending an all-day event tomorrow which is bag-lunch only, and I have nothing in the fridge; I will be very hungry and angry at Subway for the second half of tomorrow. The owner needs to fire these lazy POS’s.

I visited this store a few days ago during lunch time. There was about 10 people in front of me and I waited about 30 minutes before I can start ordering my sandwich. There was only 1 guy who start the sandwich up for you with the bread meat and cheese. However, there were 3 guys standing at the condiment section to add veges and sauce. That’s the major cause for all the delay. There were at least 2 flies I saw flying over the meat/cheese. The lady in front of us pointed that out to the sandwich maker and all they did were making a joke out of it. He said«yeah it’s just one, why you don’t like flies?» Extremely slow service + treating food safety as a joke = never visit this store again for me

We have gone here twice in the evening at around 8:30PM only to find them closed with the door locked(and the«open» sign still on). Very frustrating and a waste of time. One other time I went I waited and waited for someone to come help me. I watched the woman in the back cleaning up before she finally noticed me and came out. She put on gloves to start making my sandwich WITHOUTWASHINGHERHANDS! I told her to go wash her hands, and instead of going to the sink behind the counter she went to the big sink in the back, swiped her fingers under the water without using any soap, and came back out — all within easy view of me. She acted like she did not to want to be there and had a terrible attitude. I asked if there was a manager there and she said no. Another employee came out from the back to ask what i needed, so I again asked for a manager and was told he was not there. I asked for the manager’s name or business card and they both looked at me like I was from Mars, as if they could not fathom why I would want that information. The girl couldn’t even tell me the manager’s name and had to look at a framed document on the wall. The owner’s name is Oscar something. She either couldn’t, or wouldn’t, give me the phone number of the store. The hand washing problem alone was enough to make me never return to that particular Subway. There’s a good Subway at 758 Woodside Rd. that does a good job and has friendly, helpful staff.

Store is new and clean and the food is pretty much the same as every other Subway. What sets it apart is the staff: the sandwich artists here couldn’t be less interested in you and can’t wait for their shift to end. To avoid becoming annoyed, think of it like a game where you control a robot and have to repeat instructions over and over. «No onions, no peppers» …artists puts jalapeños on it «No peppers!» …“how about sweet peppers?” «No peppers!» «Bell peppers?» «No peppers!» …sandwich artist then puts onions on it «No onions!» Artist wraps and bags it and takes it to the cash register and then asks«what sandwich did you order?» She just made the sandwich and can’t remember what it is!

I generally stay away from reviewing huge chains for obvious reasons: each location is more or less the same as the others. I was looking for a cheap sandwich on a Saturday night. I show up a little after 8:30pm and the door is locked. I see 9am as the closing time on the window so I decide to knock in order to get a worker’s attention. I was hoping they made a mistake. Once I got the attention of one worker she motioned that they were closed. Even after I pointed to the posted hours. This is incredibly disrespectful. I now see that I am not the only one to experience this on a Saturday night. Someone deserves to get fired here

This is a relief from the barrage of high-priced restaurants in Menlo’s downtown area. What if I only want to spend $ 5 on lunch? Subway or McDonald’s are the two options and Subway is healthier. The store is always clean and the sandwiches are fine, just like any other subway.

A veggie delight sub with southwest sauce is one of my favorite meals in the world. So I was fairly excited when a Subway opened in Menlo Park, even though it occupies the space formerly used for the only botique in MP worth going to)-: Anyways, starving to death after a long flight from the East Coast, I decide today is my day to get my sub. The sub artists weren’t working at the speed I am used to at other Subways, but they seemed to be trying. Ordering a veggie sub means I skip the meat and toast step, and one employee chided another for not finishing my sandwich and working on the next person’s. I understand that normally that is what would happen(during toasting) but I was happy about someone noticing my sandwich sitting there being lonely for a few moments. One employee went into the back to get a new box of tomatoes, rather than just giving me the last sad 3 slices. Additionally, he went to the back to retrieve more of the«to-go» sauce containers. This all took extra time, but shows a level of customer service higher than I usually expect from subway. Today(leap day) they were doing free cookies. There was a small sign up saying so and the employees were remembering to tell some of customers about it. The employee ringing me up forgot to ask me, but apologized when I asked. I understand — it is hard to remember one day deals. Unfortunately my favorite flavors were already gone, but the chocolate chip was much better than expected. Unfortunately, the sub wasn’t as good as it could be. Because all that is on the sub is veggies, it is essential to pile them on and they used the same amount you would expect to put on a normal meat and cheese sub. Next time I’ll pay more attention when they are putting the veggies on and encourage them to pile it high. Hopefully their level of customer service won’t decline over time.

WORSTSUBWAYINTHEWORLD!!! Went to this place and was overcharged for all my sandwiches. Did not notice until I left. It was late around 8pm and only 3 female employees were working they did not have a clue about subway. They kept offering things that were not even possible like selling me a kids size sandwich just by itself for my nephew they said it was cheaper than the meal. But when it was time to pay they did not even know how to ring it up. Then they called another girl… and she said it was impossible. So I had to pay the same amount for that mini sandwich than the cost for a footlong… I was very upset. Also all subs are supposed to be 5 during Feb. But was charged 7 for mine. Italian BMT… Then I just got 1 bag and chips and they charged me for a meal. We were the only customers with 3 employees and it literally took them 20 minutes to make 2 subs(1 kids and 1 footlong) I will NEVER be coming back to this place and I will advise you all not to either.

I really like this Subway. Everyone that helps me are so friendly. I come here at least once a week. If you want a free cookie, complete a survey online at . You can complete this as many times as you want.

Just an update to say, they are still inefficient as far as comparing them to other Subways goes… but, they now have SPINACH! :)

As you may or may not know, downtown Menlo Park is a ghost town at night. Even Saturday night, it’s abandoned by 10PM. But my wife and I had a busy day, and around 8PM we realized we better grab dinner ASAP. We live right down the street from Menlo and felt like«eating fresh», so we checked when this Subway in Menlo was open until. 9PM! Sweet! So we hopped in the car and drove down the darkened streets of Menlo on a Saturday at 8:30PM. Got out of the car, walked up to Subway… And found the door locked. That’s strange, there was gangster rap blasting in there, so somebody must be in there. Peeked inside and, yes, two teenage guys in Subway uniforms are jamming out while they cleaned up the veg counter. My wife knocked, and one of them looked up with a blank stare and waved her away. Hardcore, fellas. Does their boss know they closed early? No idea. What I do know is that I’m not wasting my time going to this Subway again. A five minute ride up to 84 took us to an open Subway that served us quickly and politely. I get that it’s Saturday night and you want to go play Warcraft or whatever you do, but you just lost a $ 20+ order because you closed before your set closing time. Terrible.

I work in the area and was excited to see a new subway(new lunch place) on my street for my lunch breaks. However, I’ve been here twice and will never go back. The first time, the employees were standing around talking and couldn’t even greet me or ask me what I’d like to order for about 5 minutes. guess it must have been an important conversation. Being as it is new, I gave it a second try. I should have walked away mid-order but(being too nice) I felt bad since he’d already started on my sandwich. I arrive and he blankly stares at me. ummm can I order a sandwich please? No words and he grabs the bread I ask for. He puts the ham on it. While I’m standing there I look to my left and see their inspection only gave them a ‘fair’ and same upon second inspection… refrigeration standards not met, etc(followed by 3 more pages that I couldn’t see). So I’m thinking. great I’m going to get food poisoning. Then the guy gets to the cheese part of my sandiwch and realizes they have 2 pieces of cheese left. He scrapes the bottom of the bin for a few seconds then asks me if I can have a different kind of cheese or if 2 pieces(on a footlong) is enough. then he places them in the middle of the sandwich as if they will make it look better. So i’m thinking yes this is my opportunity to get out of here and get lunch somewhere else. So I say, no I want swiss cheese, are you guys all out? He rolls his eyes and begrudgingly walks to the back and returns with a new pack of cheese. Finally as he starts to ring me up for my sandwich, the phone rings, and he talks in spanish for about 3 minutes while I’m sitting there just waiting to pay for my food. Completely rude to take a personal call with someone sitting there waiting to pay. I should have walked away. This place is terrible. My coworker went once also and her bread was rock hard. Gross and unsanitary… and the staff is rude and obviously they don’t like their jobs and would rather talk socially than care about the business. Whoever owns this place really should have done a better job with hiring.

Subway’s been open for a few weeks now, and kinks in their service seem to be ironing out. It is now just like a typical subway with a few minor exceptions: 1) The servers there are friendly, they smile, they’re in a good mood, and they can understand my requests. Perhaps it’s because they’re still new, but I like that they’re still carefully placing veggies on the sandwich and taking care that they don’t spill out when they close the sandwich 2) The interior is nice, new, clean, well lit 3) I like its central location on Santa Cruz Ave. It’s a good place to go on my way to doing some other errand on the same main drag
