Tanya Zaghi, DDS

Dr. Zaghi practices with Jesse Halbleib in Capitola, CA. For two of the root canals she performed, I had to have them redone. I paid her full price, and then had to pay to get the job again by another Endondontist who I would highly recommend! Dr. Halbleib charges you to do a temporary root canal and starts the job (to get you out of pain and so he can get his cut), and then Dr. Zaghi finishes the job but charges you full price on top of that. STAY AWAY FROM THESE TWO Dentists!

If you need a root canal I think you are in good hands with Dr. Zaghi. She has been doing them for over 8 years and is very confident and professional. (And, there is parking beneath the building so you don’t have to worry about getting a ticket during your treatment.) The entrance is a bit hidden, but is right up the stairs and to the left. It’s modern and clean, and the people who work there are very friendly too. Be prepared though, you might be asked to make a co-​pay before leaving (My total treatment cost was a little over $ 1,000 and I had to pay around $ 300 before I left.) Also, if you have an appointment you might want to call before you go, as they were running over an hour late and no one called to tell me. Other then that (and even though my treatment was not pain-​free as some of the other people experienced) I’d still recommend Dr. Zaghi and her team.

I’ve had a Root Canal in the past. Terrible experience. I felt the whole thing. I came to Dr. Zaghi only for a consultation for 2 teeth that gave me pain for weeks. My experience was awesome. She calm my nerves, very bubbly and giggly. She explained her treatment and took good care of me. I felt no pain what’s so ever!!! None at all! The best specialist I’ve dealt with.

I was incredibly pleased with the work, and most importantly… it was PAINLESS! I also didn’t have issues with backsplash/​water running down my neck/​debris flying everywhere, which is what I’ve experienced at other dentists. She made a root canal seem easy, when all i’ve heard are horror stories. I only have a few fillings, but they were all more painful than this root canal.
She was also honest about cost. She didn’t ride me about forgoing the extra 200 $ charge for an antibiotic shot with the root canal treatment. Nothing hidden… standard payment, and friendly throughout the process.
Nice work, Doc! Hopefully I won’t be needing you any time soon though and this tooth holds up. ;)

I would personally like to thank Tanya for relieving me of this pain, as she helped this procedure go by so smoothly.
She knows what she is doing and obviously has had a lot of experience. She is very nice and can put you at ease if you are the type that hates the dentist. I hate getting anything done to my teeth, but today I can say I have found my favorite Dentist.
She did my Root Canal today and I felt no pain whatsoever! She thoroughly went through the procedure in detail with me and told me what she is doing at almost each step. I felt at ease and instantly relaxed and just took a nap while she was working.
Rest assured this is a great choice when choosing your next dentist!
