Stopped in here today to purchase a wood chisel and a five gallon bucket. I was impressed by the helpfulness with which I was met. I figured out the chisel aisle by myself, but someone approached and asked if I needed help. I mentioned what I was looking for, and was immediately shown where to acquire the goods I needed. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hardware store where the staff were so helpful. In and out in just a few minutes after I determined what width of chisel I needed. I’ll definitely be back if I’m in the neighborhood.

Blair’s True Value is a nice hardware store located on Hampton Avenue, located just on the outskirts of Butler. I recently took our bathroom screen here to have it re-done. I must say they did a really nice job, and they even gave the frame of the screen a nice cleaning. The staff was incredibly helpful — even going so far as to recommend the ‘pet screen’(worth the few extra cents per inch!) so our cat won’t try and venture /fall out the window. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and I wound up picking up a few extra things that I needed as long as I was there. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but the employee who helped me locate a few things I needed to complete my craft project was incredibly helpful — he went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. Kudos. Honestly I’m not used to receiving service like that but it was a welcome change. I’ll be coming here again for our screens to be redone. The service and helpful staff was outstanding. Although the prices might be a few cents higher than the Home Depot down the street on 124th, there are some things that are worth the extra money and drive.
