The wine flight was a great opportunity to try a variety of wines. Friendly staff and decent variety of wines. Ordering Bruschetta is a must!

We stopped here on a Saturday night at 10:30 and found out that the Barrel Room had been closed for a half hour. So our review (six of us) is that it looked very uninviting all locked, really dark and actually Cold Closed during what we consider prime time on a Saturday night. We thought we might have the wrong place, but passing friendly equally buzzed polytech Stout students, thanks, confirmed that yes THAT was the wine bar, closed, so sad. Letterman wasn’t even on yet.
So, ok we apparently aren’t the b4 10pm target market (wildly DIVERSE group of 6) but we DEFINITELY drink wine, and that is why this wine bar was recommended to us. Maybe they are making sure that wine drinkers are HOME by 11:00pm in Menomonie. Didn’t work. We went to The Abbie and found a decent screw top Cab yet for $ 9, FREE popcorn and a back deck. Score. The Load will provide. Amen.
I note from the website that they did some market surveys and benchmarked The Wine Guyz in Lacrosse; fyi Wine Guyz are open until 12 AM on Fri & Sat. just sayin…
Watch the hours here. And they deserve a review from you early to bed peoples. I don’t know all the by the glass wines they are offering, but I see some excellent choices.
