Slowest service ever, well the two times we’ve been there. Food was good both times, but we’re talking a 1 to 1.5 hour wait. Just make sure you have all day when going there.

What a gem! I felt like I stepped back in time to an old supper club. The food was very good. The Popovers were the best I have ever had. The service was slow but the staff was friendly. The prices were very reasonable.

Staff member who greeted us was very unwelcoming. We had planned to have a cocktail and then dinner. Because of her, we passed on the cocktail. The soup du jour was very dark and over-spiced. The liver and onions with baked potato was fine. The ribs were overlooked and returned to the kitchen. A fish entrée was substituted and a glass of wine comped. Our waiter was great during service and apologized for the poor quality meal. The pumpkin cake desert was yummy. All in all a so-so meal.

Everything we had was great. Pasta Provincal, King Crab Legs, Filet Migon and sea scallops. I also recommend the hasbrowns!

The food here is fantastic! Such a treat for a place like Menomonie! I’ve had dinner here and went for Easter brunch this past year, and everything was delicious! I’d recommend it to anyone who’s ever driven by and thought about going here! Chances are you will not be disappointed!

Like a trip back to the 70’s inside, but the steakhouse menu has been updated with more current flavors(liver and onions excepted.) Bacon wrapped cheesecurds are crazy good — and what is that dip? I had the peppercorn brandy dijon sauce on a sirloin and it was as good as at steakhouses several times the cost. Fresh veggies and excellent popovers too. Reasonable prices too. I was here with a group and service was a bit slow, but the quality of the food made up for the wait. I think everybody was happy and plates looked empty!

We were 1 of 2 tables on a slow Tuesday night. It’s part of a motel and the décor could use an update, but overall it was a quaint restaurant with pretty good food. They have outside seating, but when we were there it was covered in ice and snow. The bread Poppers were a pleasant surprise. Loved the cinnamon butter. I was a little worried the dinner special filet mignon stuffed with roasted garlic would be too garlicky(sp?) but it was just right. Waitress was really sweet and friendly. She convinced us to get the chocolate cheesecake for dessert. Not a bad decision.

Probably one of the nicest places in Menomonie; it doesn’t look like it from the outside as the sign looks like a bar sign and is on the same pole as a Motel sign. All in all it was very nice with some good food at reasonable prices for what you get. A great date place and I’ll be going back with my wife.

For the first two months of me living in Menomonie, I drove by Skoog’s almost every day and thought«wow, a motel restaurant — that can’t be too good». I was completely wrong. This place is classy and makes some great food. I was under the impression that Jake’s was the only supper club in town, but Skoog’s is giving them a run for their money. I was especially impressed by their popovers, and everyone at our table was very happy with their meal. I had pork chops that were delicious. We were there during the holidays so the interior looked like the inside of a Christmas Gift Shop — take that as you may, but I give them kudos for at least trying to add some flavor to the atmosphere. Next time I’d like a nice meal out, I’ll definitely consider Skoog’s!
