Toth’s Place

If you are looking for a non franchise great neighborhood bar then this is your place. Very reasonable drink prices, as tasty wings as anywhere in town and a small but sufficient menu for snacking during a game. Several large tv’s at the bar and some of the best bar tenders around. Absolute best owners!

Megan and Lauren are fantastic! Get your ass up here and see them. You will not be disappointed. A local place that will make you feel right at home.

They looked at me like a deer in the headlights when I asked for a Lagunitas, Stella or Sierra Nevada. I found the Winking Lizard down the road. Toth’s Place is not worth a stop.

We stopped in here as a nightcap to a bar crawl. He reminded me of my fraternity house in that it was decorated don’t exactly the same way, there were corn hole games actually inside and the Jason room next to the bar. And there are almost no women in there. So just like my fraternity house!
The first thing I noticed when I walked in there was that there were several desktops between drunkards that were either happening had happened or guarantee going to happen. The music was super duper loud and there are three or four dudes having a dance off by themselves in the middle of the bar. Dance fight on! I went to the restroom tried to dry my hands in the owner was trying to repair Italian dispenser that somebody had broke. I’m not sure if they serve food there but if they do I’ll be sure to review it then but I don’t think I’ll be eating there as a destination eatery more of a convenience issue. One of my friends was waiting in line for the ladies room apparently all three ladies that were in the bar at that time had to go to the restroom at the exact same time and one lovely gal was giving the stink eye to whom ever looked at her and tried to start stuff with my friend. I’m normally a pretty good judge of character and if there were such a thing as a townie bar in Mentor, this place would be it.
I had little interaction with the bartenders but they seem to be serving and doing a decent job at making sure the bar was kept up. I founded a monumental waste of space and resources to have a cornhole Game inside a bar. I don’t know a whole lot about square footage but I know that if you’re going to have a corn hole game move it outside. Although we had fun playing it, I figured the second room could be better repurposed for something that would generate revenue for the bar

Great neighborhood bar! Mike, the owner, is such a good guy. He keeps the place clean and he is there most nights and knows his regulars. The drinks are priced VERY reasonable! There is a good sized party room available that you may reserve for gatherings. Mike will accommodate whatever plans you want. The bar area is fairly large and they have a good sized patio as well. He hosts a comedy night on some Wednesday’s and has live bands in from time to time. On game nights there are several TV’s for viewing. Toth’s is the perfect place to gather with friends!

Just a hole in the wall bar, but a great place to catch some free comedy on Wednesday nights. Their wings are pretty good.
